Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

It's supposed to be happening with www.pesfan.com where a few months ago ,fans of PES voted for some suggestions to be submitted to Konami. At least it's how it was supposed to work ,I'm not really sure that Konami really cares about what the fans really want.
I have a question :Where is PES/WE the most sold ,Europe or Japan ??

it probably does work , iv'e been trying to find a proposal of a ML League overhaul but it's not very popular down there, nad manual passing , there about 20 sifferent suggestions of editing logos etc and that has many more votes than any of these suggestions. coincidently there is a great editing mode this year.

what you realy need to do guys is open a thread down there and put these suggestions there and link it to this thread and tell us to vote , i know i'll vote. i've been looking on there for about two years and most of there popular suggestions does get implemented in the game , they only send the popular suggestions.

Yeah I'm with Lami. Stop being whiny bitches about a videogame. There's people dying of hunger in this world and you whine and moan because a friggin videogame isn't 100% like you want it to be. Pathetic, you are.

So why aint you out there helping those in need? why are you not feeding lil kim-kim in Cambodia Mother Theresa?..... NO you on here bashing people for giving an opinion on a 'friggin videogame, is your desire for PES so strong that you can't bear to hear people talk bad about your love toy? don't even raise your fingers to type a reply ok.

And when people says that gameplay is already amazing, I would like to know if that's because it's bloody easy.

No, it's because they have long since closed their imaginations as to what might be possible.

Yeah I thought that this year they sent the ML overhaul suggestion to Konami so finger crossed. What dissapointed in pesfan is that sometimes people were focusing on small editing stuff whereas important part of gameplay suggestions were left ingored.Ask TranceAllStar or check his ideas, some of them are just brilliant

I think in that context we are all pretty pathetic for being on here, yourself included.

I'm raising my finger alright.

Thing is, I'm here because PES is a part of my life and I enjoy reading about it, speculating, etc. Konami has managed to provide me with a great experience each year, I guess it's my cross to bear that I actually like each year's game, unlike so many here which seem to become more annoyed with every version, although they still seem to buy it each time. I'm not Mother Teresa and I'm not bottlefeeding dying toddlers but I do make donations and I do care, even if I also indulge myself with the luxury of gaming. But gaming is still trivial and always will be, and it gets to me when people waste energy complaining and whining about such trivial matters like the world depends upon them.

You make donations, awww aint that sweet, listen junior everybody here knows PES is only a game and its is trivial, show me a post that claims PES is in some way more important than lifes issues. A high majority of us work or study and have real world events that are more important, but this is a forum and as such everyone is allowed to state how they feel love or hate of PES. Your comments strike me as someone who is a fanboy, because you attack those that have negative opinions of a game that is a part of your life, if you stand by your claim that PES is trivial then why not speak out on those that are praising this game, is that not a waste of energy as well?

You are completely right :)
As long as there is no news I will not visit this topic too much.
Mainly a lot of annoying posts

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

If this will be the final look of the game, then I don't think that level of ingame graphical detail warrants new hardware, and so, the perfect platform to be playing this game on would be a handheld.

Many amazing games are coming up on the PSP these days. And PES2008 would be such a joy if you can play it anywhere...

If only Microsoft made a handheld next-gen Xbox... I'd be saving up for this one.

Don't talk shit, you really think PSP can handle the same game as the PS3? Sit the PS2/PSP and PS3 next to each other and you'll really have to laugh at how stupid that comment sounds.

I thought it was obvious but for "slower" smartass people like you, I'll say I meant the graphical leap isn't strong enough to buy new hardware, and it's much better IMO to have current-gen graphics with the new gameplay of PES2008, on a handheld.

So no, I don't think the PSP could handle PS3 graphics. I can't believe someone out there is as "special" as you are.

Obviously, the gameplay isn't revolutionary and won't be exclusive for next-gen consoles either. So again, IMO, having the new gameplay engine with current-gen visuals on a PSP would be a great choice.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

Isslander if it's so trivial to you why don't you just leave? Allow those who actually care about the game to debate it.

I don't think anyone gives a damn how much you've donated to charity x and charity y so get off your high-horse and unless you can actually respond to any of the points raised and provide some counter-arguments really you are just making yourself look like a little fanboy throwing their toys out of the cot because someone dared to criticise the game.

Oh and to the admins, I will keep re-registering if you persist on banning me for no reason. I'd like to point out the fact there are people being far more antagonistic than me yet somehow are allowed to post freely. Perhaps you don't like my opinions, but this is the internet and therefore free speech is allowed, as long as it's not illegal which I don't think I have partaken in, nor have I gone on any angry personal attacks.

Just watching the toulouse-liverpool CL qualifying atm and pro evo is being advertised here aswell. The video adboards and permenant boards behind the dugout. Although something seems to have gone amiss with the pr people.........its PES6 thats being advertised. Maybe they think its still the same game.......cant blame them.

More than a touch of irony about that :lmao:

A comment from the WENB blog:

Obviously Konami want to show the best images of the game. And that what they are doing. Very nice indeed

Yes, very nice.

Amazing features..

Looks like we finally go what we wanted

Who wanted cut-scenes and old men? What an amazing feature list:

pes2008.jpg

I haven't seen a screenshot that has impressed me as being next-gen yet. Where is the bump-mapping, HDR lighting, soft shadows etc?

Finally someone that knows what they are talking about. There is nothing next-gen about the graphics we have seen so far.

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

I've just noticed that there's a token black guy in almost every single shot that Konami have officially released - on the park bench, outside the ground, holding the cup, in the pub... And it's usually the exact same guy, hahaha.

Between that and the black quadruplets that carry your injured players off... Well, it makes you wonder.

It just seems a bit too obvious to me from an artistic point of view, I'm not sitting here in a Nazi uniform drinking Ku Klux Kola or anything. My point is, you don't see screenshots of Bioshock or whatever where there has to be a black guy in almost every single shot, and that's not offensive, is it? Or is it?

*Shoots himself in the head before he's labelled as a massive racist*

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

Don't worry foxtrot, I'm just a bit nervous now, LOL. Shouldn't have said anything. But it genuinely makes me think - it's not noticeable in screenshots of any other games (that I can think of anyway). I wonder if Japan is multicultural or if it's a bit behind the times like that - I get the impression (perhaps totally wrongly) that they are.

I just love the look on the guy's face where he's sat next to the drunk old man, as if he's going "this is the best job I've ever had, I'm in every scene"... :D

There's also that family of about 25,000 identical albinos that seem to attend every match. That must have been an uncomfortable pregnancy.

I've not yet seen any Eskimos in the screenshots. Bloody racists!

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

That's a good point actually - not the Eskimo one, the crowd one (sorry to any PES-playing Eskimos). Have there ever been any black guys in the crowd? I've never noticed (which is my point, if something is done properly you don't notice).

Re: WE/PES 2008 Next Gen - Discussions Thread (Last Update 08/14/07)

ffs PS3 can do better than that, right? :( but ingame is pretty good imo..
