UEFA Champions League 2013/2014

Awesome, how the stadium anchor and the crowd celebrated Higuain's goal. Someone has this on video or can upload that?

And @Klopp: Thought he was about to kill the 4th ref. No doubt, he has to leave the pitch then...correct decision.

Marseille played well and organized until that error at the back and even out of form Theo couldn`t miss from that close. Then, you have this insanely inform Ramsey dribbles past a few in white and slot past the GK!:CONFUSE: A nothing, interesting match ,but 3pts away from home.

Mou mention some chilling things about Europa league and its embarrassing to play in it. He would never take Chelsea there, their too good . Well, Mou you're closer to Europa than knockout rounds :P . I can hear the wife 'OK kids start packing, Roman is nodding his head again'

As funny as it would be, Chelsea's group is ridiculously easy. They'll still handily qualify. Steau and Schalke? Please.

Celtic were very poor in the last third, we were the better team in my eyes, but when it came to the crunch not good enough.

Unlucky deflection for 1st goal and whilst I blamed our Captain for the free-kick it appears Bambi-telli had thrown an elbow at Scott Brown and he resultingly pushed him over, which wasn't hard to do going by his antics.

Mind you the best one was so many uneducated footballing so called experts on and off the park, the supposed 'strange' free-kick against Abiati giving the ref stick, does anyone actually know the rules, LOL, imbeciles.

Basel already beat them and Schalke has a fantastic first eleven. Chelsea are the favorites nonetheless, but this is just ignorant and disrespectful.

Beach don't take it personal, but it seems that most football fans consider all teams outside England , Munchen, Barcelona and Madrid as minnows... they are all considered feeder clubs for their favourite team, but if another big teams comes for one of their players: havoc....

A bit one-dimensional.

IMO the Bundesliga is the best league in the world and Schalke are capable of the best (but sometimes also of the worst).

Edit on second thoughts: my reaction wasn't specifically adressed to beach, although he somewhat provoked it. To be fair to him, i don't think his reaction is out of ignorance or disrespect, the man has a special relationship with Chelsea (lord knows why). If Chelsea were in a group with Bayern Munchen, barcelona and Real Madrid he would still think they got a lucky draw...

It's still a pretty straight forward group. Schalke are inconsistent, they can be extremely good or extremely awful but should have enough quality to finish 2nd.

Basel are tricky but they're a level below a couple of seasons ago when they had Shaqiri and Xhaka. Salah is an excellent player but Chelsea were pretty comfortable in beating them in the Europa League last season.

Steaua are the unfortunate whipping boys of the group. It's a considerably easier group than Arsenal's or Man Utd's.

Exactly my thoughts.

I don't really think it's a anti-Chelsea bias to claim their group is the more straightforward than several, but maybe that's just me. I'm not disrespecting the other teams - I'm looking at previous performance, current squads and so forth.

Okay, okay. No harm done or intended. For a team like Chelsea this group should not prove to be an insurmountable hurdle, but Schalke and Basel are no jokes - is what I meant to say.

I think Chelsea would have been favourites to go through the group and it's not as hard as their one last year (with Shakhtar, Juventus and Norsjelleyand - although that last team is worse than any in the current group).

Now they have lost at home to Basel, they will probably need to get a win in either Gelesenkirchen or in Basel, both of which could be tricky away fixtures. There is also the risk that they might finish second giving them a harder R16 match if they make the knockouts.

milan penalty, even worse than pepe's one in elche game. I thought this is f'n champions league. some refs are really incredible.

Milan have got a few dodgy penalties this season and often salvaged undeserved draws in the league due to them.

City being destroyed by Bayern. sure it´s new coach but this is shambless for all those milions spended.. it´s joy to watch Bayern and their fans, their work as a machine.

Where do UEFA find these referees? The one that just did Shaktar and United must have made 20 mistakes. At least. For both sides.

Some just mind-bogglingly obvious too.

I know it's hard a job, but I honestly believe his 'success' rate in that match was about 50%. Like, you could have flipped a coin on each decision and had just as accurate a refereeing performance.
