UEFA Champions League 05/06 Thread

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

Did anyone notice Camoranesi's amazing performance in the second leg against Real Madrid?
Camoranesi has really become amazing under Capello, as good as a season 02/03 Nedved.

Anyway Capello got his tactics perfect against Madrid: Juve took the game to real madrid, without giving away any real chances.

good post by the don. on the other side, madrids tactical concept wasn't quite clear to me. as i said earlier, it would be dangerous just to defend the first match result in turin, because that would also mean relying on the instable defence. but after seeing the game, it seems as that was exactly what they were trying to do with the little efford they showed.

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

Im obviously biased, but i think Juve and Milan had the best tactical/strategic setup for this round. Lyon and CHelsea scored lots of goals, but i dont think their victories were so much based on the tactical and strategic victories that Juve and Milan experienced. Not too sure about PSV because i didnt watch their games.

Camoranese showed me who he is. His crosses are amazing..

That means that as opposed to Capello, Luxembourgo got his tactics all wrong.

@ Milanista, PSV booked a very good and tactical victory as well.

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

PSV I think will be knocked out sooner or later;).

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

Next week inter, well I have a feeling inter will win like 3-0 or 2-0 but hopfully there knocked out, so at school I can laugh at everyone, since people all hate juventus. Im the only juve fan.:(

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

After there performance this evening, i'm not sure which inter will turn up.

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

bah... Porto is making one of his worst seasons ever! The worst I can remember! And probably the worst in 20 years! :(
Sure win for Inter!

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

Inter's inconsitency can fool anyone though.

I do expect Inter to win the tie, as Porto are just a shadow their champions league winning team.

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

HEY never ever say that. A team that isnt to good, can suprise you. lets see from the Seria A.

Livorno 1-0 Milan
Milan 0-1 Bologna
Reggina 2-1 Juventus

Crap teams can always suprise you, I give hope to Porto to destroy inter.

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

Glad to see some juve fans here^_^
Forza Juve!
Inter Porto for me is something we can't know too much about, both teams could win or lose I think. Time will tell!

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

Inter are through as i expected - nice hat trick by Adriano.

So now theres:

3 Italians
2 English
1 French
1 German
1 Dutch
0 Spanish (:))

This friday is the draw, just hoping none of the Italians meet, as it kinda ruins the point of playing Europe's top teams.

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

A good final would have to have Chealse in it. becauset they probably will reach the finals.

Nice one, CWright! Looks like we're going to have to do it the hard way.....

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

GODDAMMIT WHY AN ITALIAN TEAM. I hate playing Italian teams because it ruins the point of playing in Europe. You play in a european comp just to play another italian team that you play 2 times a year!!!!!

..have fun kickin each others ass in your own backyard..gonna be a great match though...

Re: UEFA Champions League 04/05 Thread

We've probably lucky to avoid Bayern and Milan.
Juve are good, but not unbeatable. We have to play our
best game of the season at home to get a 2 goal lead
and play a counter-attacking game away.

Funny, how Benitez said that he was hoping to play Chelsea
again this season, it could be possible in the semis.

But then again it could be Juve v Bayern....

Every tie is too close to call.
