I started watching this in series 1 but gave up after 5 episodes as I found it quite boring and the acting piss poor. The main guy was like a bloody robot . Does it get better?
 
I am with Joe on this a watched a good few episodes and both main actors seem really shit at acting :PP

The guy from lost really annoys me.

My wife likes to watch it though.

Yep, I gave up early in S1 due to the lead actor being pretty awful.

POI is quality. I just watched the 1st episode of season 2. Was watching and just thought Nolan prob got the idea for it after working on The Dark Knight.
As for Caviezel being a bad actor, he's playing a character so I wouldn't say he's a bad actor at all. He's just a cool, hard as nails dude who doesn't exaggerate and acts more like a normal person... well apart from the things he does in the series :) You know what I mean.

Season 3 has started
 
Just started on Homeland. Got a few of the new season to watch.

Got through all of Falling Skies last season so upto date with that.

Will take Walking Dead and Boardwalk Empire, before starting on Sons of Anarchy.

just finished the tonight's episode of Person of Interest, it's really great great great. Damn you Jonathan Nolan ! you're a genius !

it seems the war has began between the Machine and the new group of privacy and anti-spying.
I know this group doesn't know about the machine, but the machine defied them by sending ROOT to help Jason.
 
Person of Interest is at it again. Wow, still trying to decide how to react to that penultimate episode of the season.

That show is gonna be on everyone's mouth pretty soon (even though it's late already)
 
Too many episodes of Person of Interest. 24 eps a season is way too much. If it was 10-12 like Walking Dead, Homeland or Boardwalk I would give it a go.

Walking Dead is on Season 4 and POI on Season 2 in UK. 24 x 2 & 12 x 4 = the same to me so not sure how it's too many episodes? I enjoy it so if its good, isn't more episodes of a good series a good thing?
 
Whilst I hope they don't drag Homeland out too much, it's been quite clever this year and the last episode looks quite promising too.

Putting Sons of Anarchy on the back-burner now to after Xmas, as I'm going to try and get through Boardwalk Empire and start on The Walking Dead.

Boardwalk Empire has now finished up for this season, I'm only around 3 or 4 in though, although was pretty sad to see one of the characters I like go.

WORST episode of How I met your mother I have ever seen the other night, SE9E11. Been a shocking last ever season so far and I'm a huge fan.
 
It's been a bit dogger for a couple of seasons, really wish they'd can (get it) the canned laughter as well, actually makes it seem even worse when most of the jokes aren't laugh out loud funny so it's obnoxious hearing fake recorded laughter.
 
I hate canned laughter, the only show I can stomach with that is Mom. Pretty much puts me off every show.

Putting it very mildly. It's weird though, I told a couple of my closest friends to watch the show and they didn't like it that much :o Does it need to be as famous/hyped up as the Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, etc to be rated as "incredible"? Because it is so much better than 90% of drama/action shows. Even Homeland feels as generic as an episode of 24 by now.

POI is getting better every season, the 1st one was in his first half , an introduction and installment, most of the episodes were regular numbers episodes, the 2nd half, the rythm was higher and they focused on their main storylines, HR/Russian Mafia/Elias, The Machine/Finch's past, Root, John's past ..

the 2nd season, some regular episodes, plus the introduction of the new organization targeting the machine, alongside with the usual storylines ..

the 3rd, only 5 regular numbers episodes, then an episode introducing the new Vigilance Group, Root's new mission, then the big war with HR, now there's another war coming according to root and the machine.

all in all, every episode is like a well written movie, there are those NOLAN moments we know in the movies, the surprising element is present also, plus the most important is : Nolan is a GENIUS !

EDIT : the show didn't get the hype it deserves, because it's aired in a free channel.
since the strike of writers in 2008, only Cable shows get the big hype.

personnally, I see Person of Interest in the same level of Breaking Bad, and better than The Walking Dead.
