The TV Show Thread

Just finished watching the US version of "The Killing" season one and the end was not what I expected. Did a quick look into the Danish version and it looks like the US version kinda went a different direction maybe?

Good series though.
 
Didn't watch the Danish one (don't intend to either) but really like the US one, unlike a lot of people I really enjoyed the first two seasons and the reboot is also very good, enjoyed the first double episode of season three.

On the same boat, I'm interested in seeing what direction the third series takes I have been meaning to watch it on Netflix since it was added, but I've been finishing Prison Break and Heroes recently.

Ahha, I was really let down by the way Prison Breaks storyline evolved. It completlu lost the plot of the first series, and the writers seemed to realise that they were doing that and did a bit of "oh by the way, its all the same evil people"!
 
Yes, first season is promising though I think Ragnar Lothbrock overa ts too much towards the end
 
So are you guys telling me it actually gets better after the first episode? Thought the first one was crap so I never bothered to try and watch any subsequent episodes.
 
My company is named after the Sopranos show (we're called badabing!) so we really feel sad today. Time to go home and watch again the Sopranos pilot!
 
Watched episode one of "Top Of The Lake" and not entirely sure what I've just watched. Possibly one of the most boring TV episodes ever.
 
I'm sure it's not a show for everyone, it is very slow but wife and I really enjoyed it, just have the last episode left, there's elements of The Killing but also some more quirky stuff like Twin Peaks :)

amazing pilot, tells you all you need to know about the main character, the ducks in the pool.. if you know what i mean..

he will be missed.
 
Flight = 7/10

I think it was a good film.
Interesting story, some nice twists. I didn't want to see it, before flying into holidys - that was a good choice... :D
 
Anyone else watch Orphan Black? Had it on the popcorn hour for a while and we just started it the other night, absolutely superb, and for obvious reasons the lead actress is phenomenal in it :)
 
Turned it off 20 mins into the first episode, acting was unbelievably poor.

Graceland's acting isn't exactly amazing but I must admit I do quite like it. Fun story, albeit very cheesy.

Really? Wow wife and I agree the acting is excellent especially by the lead! Well guess we all have different tastes :) Haven't started Graceland yet.

What language subtitles do you need? Different regions might have subtitles, trying using a DNS to change the version of Netflix you get.

Subtitles in English, just because there's been a lot of Japanese/Korean (not really sure which) and Spanish speaking characters recently and with no subtitles I don't know what's going on, and it all seems important judging by the scenes!

One of the best things that happened this season.
I watch a lot less than before, but this is very good.
 
Man I don't know how you folks have time to watch so many tv shows. Start working you lazy euros :P

Watched first episode of Under the Dome last week.. I'm waiting for them to explain how the wind and rest of the weather keep functioning normally if this dome is supposedly so dense that even sounds don't penetrate it.

The more I watched of it, the less I liked it. First episode had promising things that quickly became a bore (at least for me & my wife). The secondary characters are so annoyingly plain.
