The TV Show Thread

Really enjoyed the pilot of "Do No Harm". Both characters are good fun and Ian cracks me up :)

We both thought it was superb, funnily enough the wife for some reason had the impression before watching it that it was going to be really light, like some comedy pastiche of the 80s or something, so she was pleasantly surprised! :)

Yeah you can tell they have spent some money on the production as well, you can't play those songs on the cheap, Phil Collins, fleet wood Mac... Thecars the clothes...

americans seem good. first episode was a bit an american cliche' about russians though, with the usual split: male spy who loves american lifestyle and the woman who is still attached to the motherland. Even the flash back stories were a bit predictable. But for a pilot a very good one.

Anyone watched House of Games? i watched the first episode. production value and kevin spacey, but little happened. Does it get better?

I watched Veep in my lunch time. I thought it was pretty funny, but then again i love Julia Dreyfus! i might be a bit biased!

julia dreyfus is one of those actresses that makes me laugh even when she is reading the phone book. scriptwise, i agree the show is a bit crap. that's why it has been selected for lunch time...i didn't want to waste a good show in that half and hour.

Cancelled after two episodes, well gee, at least NBC gave it a chance...

Made in Jersey, make room for Do No Harm! NBC canceled the Jekyll-and-Hyde medical drama today, just hours after last night's final ratings were released and NBC saw a stain where its 10pm primetime series should have been. The show has been pulled from the schedule (i.e. canceled) after just two episodes, matching Made in Jersey for the shortest stay of the season.

But that doesn't even begin to illustrate just how poorly Do No Harm performed. When it debuted last Thursday, it became the lowest in-season debut for a scripted show on a major network EVER, with a 0.9 rating in the adult demo. Last night's dip down to a 0.7 rating was all NBC had to see before finally making a good business decision for once.

Do No Harm starred Steven Pasquale as a neurosurgeon with an evil alter-ego who took control of his body every night starting at 8:25pm and holding on for 12 hours. It also featured a Golden Retriever, a blow-up sex doll, and a Ferrari IN THE SAME SCENE, but you probably didn't know that because no one watched this show except for me. I'll miss you, Do No Harm. You made me laugh.

NBC will air Law & Order: SVU reruns in Do No Harm's place.

Watched the 1st Season of Sons of Anarchy.

Very enjoyable.

Not sure how the story will develop and stuff, as it's on 5 seasons with at least another couple on the way, hoping it doesn't play itself out.

Walking Dead has returned and looking forward to Game of Thrones starting back up.

Saw it listed on Netflix. Now that I'm caught up on TWD, I started watching Breaking Bad (now halfway into season 2), and was considering that as well. Been such a slacker when it comes to TV, but its kinda nice to have waited so that I dont have to do the wait for next week cycle like I will have to with Game of Thrones come the end of the next month (can't wait!)

It has boobs and violence, what more could anyone want from a tv show

This is going to sound weird but it's got too much boobs and violence, almost at the expense of the story. It's a decent enough show but sometimes it feels like they throw those in just to fill some time.

:HAND: :NONO: :R1:

All together now...You can never have too much Boobs!

Anyone else watched "Cult"? Could be awesome or garbage based on the first episode.

Sons of Anarchy has been brilliant so far.

Onto Season 2, although the last episode I watched (think it was 9 or 10) would have made a great finale as it was a brilliant ending with Gemma sitting down Clay and Jax.

Superb viewing.
