The Retro-PES Corner

Is there any chance to have a WE9JL iso + OF with default player, all translated to English ? I have found a version but all players name are in original language.

Nevermind. I have it. It was just the Option File which was translating back the names to Japanese.

Thanks

I read somewhere that edited optionfile can dumb down A.i decisions...
I have an english we9le ISO, but player's names are still koreans, so i put a Pes5 option file to fix the problem.
I always found we9le a.i less varied than Pes5 One,when it is supposed to be the opposite.
Last evening i played one game, removing Memory card so i didn't upload any option file, and a.i seems quite better...is placebo or what?

Hi, Im looking for ISS pro evolution 2 for PS1 with real names in English. Cant find anything here on forum. Only found FB group but there is only Spanish version.
Maybe someone know where to find it?

Hi guys, maybe a really silly question especially as I have done quite a few option files in my 'career'.

When downloading a team's emblem to use in the game (PS2) is it best to download the largest size and resize or download the smallest size and resize?

For example on peslogos they have Aston Villa emblem as x128, x256, and x512 Here is the link aston-villa-fc.html

Is it best to download the x512 one and resize it to x32 and x64 or should I download the x128 and resize it?

Thanks

A new arrival for the 🇺🇸 collection - Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 on PC (Brand New). I had never seen this before on the market for PC. The other 2 (WE7 and WE9) games I had already. I love the big/bigger boxed games. It seems that America kept the bigger boxes going for longer than the UK.

I'm not sure, but I think it should be smaller so that it has more clarity, because I do remember adapting several logos from x1000 to x64 and they appeared distorted.

Thanks, I did think that. I normally download the smallest one. It’s a question that I have always thought about asking but never get round to it.

I suppose it can do, depending on what is edited in an option file.

For example, if you globally increase Teamwork by 15 for each player in PES 5, it makes the CPU play so much better. So I guess that if you decreased Teamwork by 15 then it would have the opposite affect. ;)

Hello all,

New user here, I am currently playing Pro Evolution Soccer 2014 on PS2 using OPL with a MEM Card Pro 2 and MX4SIO setup, and I’m hoping for some guidance on a few things to enhance my experience.

Here’s my current setup:

Playing via OPL with GSM selector forced to 480p HDTV output.

My TV is full HD and displays up to 1080p.

I’m based in UK and using the PAL version of the game. While it can switch to an NTSC 60Hz mode, I’ve heard it’s preferable to play a version that natively runs at 60Hz, such as the South American or Japanese versions. Not sure if this is entirely true though but I have heard that.

I’d love some advice on the following:

1. Option File for PES 2014: Does anyone know of an option file that includes real kits, real emblems and logos, real player names, real team names, real stadium names, everything unlocked, updated squads/transfers for the 2013-2014 season, updated faces etc... and ideally other additions that make the game more authentic? Only for that specific season which was 2013/2014.

2. Widescreen Hack/Patch: Although I’ve enabled widescreen mode, I’m still getting black borders on my HDTV, so I’m hoping to find a widescreen hack, patch, or cheat that can display true widescreen for PES 2014.

3. ISO Recommendations: If anyone has patched/hacked ISOs for either the South American or Japanese versions that run natively at 60Hz, with English text and commentary, that would be ideal. Otherwise, I’d also appreciate a PAL ISO with a widescreen hack, if available.

I’m also interested in recommendations for sourcing option files and/or patched ISO's for other classic PES games (like Winning Eleven or Final Evolution releases) with the same preferences.

Thanks in advance for any help or direction. I’m new, so any advice is much appreciated!

This fella looks like he's got a good WE8 OF cooking but he doesn't seem too interested in sharing! Shame cos it looks really good. His prerogative I guess!

I asked the guy if there is a link to the patch and he replied “yes the game is 20 years old!” but there is no link.

So like you said he has no interest in sharing it. It’s a shame really, why would I not want to share my option file or patch? Is it a bit of pride or something? Scared that someone else will use it and take the credit? :CALM:

I witnessed a great glitch, literally went speechless(also a little.sneak peek to patch i am making)
