The Retro-PES Corner

never heard of this game before I just watched some youtube videos its basically like a HD remaster of ISS 2 on the PS1 with bigger textures i like the look of it

how is the AI are they a challenge? thats the issue with the older games they can be a little too easy

It also plays like a remaster of those games! You can still dominate with fast players and one-twos, although shooting isn't as reliable as the PS1 games (which is, arguably, too reliable!).

Maybe one of our resident geniuses could figure out how to patch it! But I'm not one of them, for sure.
Yeah!, I know there is and edited OF for the first game (ESPN MLS GameNight) for PS with corrected teams and names,..so hope is the last thing you lose! :D

It's a pretty decent game. Think it's from 2001 and made by a Konami development studio based in Honolulu...so this project doesn't involve the same people from the WE or JLWE sagas of those times. It has some unpolished mechanics, although I personally find it entertaining.

I think I have that somewhere if you're interested. I also found an editor but it doesn't work.

Interesting (questionable) story about MLS ExtraTime. It's usually really pricey to buy, so when I saw a listing on eBay for a highly affordable amount my interest was piqued. Alas, just a stock image of the cover so I was sceptical. Messaged the seller and it ended up being some cosy buy/sell place in Utah who couldn't have been nicer. They sent me about a dozen pictures in forensic detail and got a prompt sale from this guy!

Currently making my own personal "patch" on PES6.

Using several programs such as the EXE editor, the Game Graphic Studio and so, I started to make my own version on the game, based on what I personally want it to look like.

My plan is to make the entire game with 100% fictional players and teams, kinda like a Roy of the Rovers-styled patch.

Here's some changes I've made so far:

NATIONAL TEAMS
- Iceland replaced Russia
- Morocco replaced Angola
- Zambia replaced Côte d'Ivoire
- Zimbabwe replaced Togo
- Algeria replaced Tunisia
- Canada replaced Trinidad & Tobago
- Cyprus replaced Israel (International Challenge).
- Classic teams replaced with special all-star teams which will have players from countries that don't have a playable national team
OTHER CHANGES
- Changed every country's name to put them in spanish.
- Some logos added, some kits edited.
- Jordan is now an edit-mode nationality, meaning you can now create jordanian players!

I also chose a specific aesthetic I wanted the patch to be based on- which is, the 1970's, around the 1974 World Cup era. This helped me decide how I wanted each kit to look like, for example.

This is my first time doing this (the closest I'd gotten before was to play with an already-done OF and just edit some kits and insert a crest I made for my ML team through the PESFan Editor), so any advice or suggestion is welcome!

To be clear, I'm making this kitserver-free patch to fit my own personal preferences and don't have in my plans to actually release it to the public, but if I see anyone who wants to give it a try I might actually share it! :))

excellent idea!!! You can create a topic to see how the creation of the patch is going!! , good luck!!

Do you have widescreen hack for this versions?

Probably a long shot, but does anyone have any original season (or failing that, any season) option files backed up for the old gen Xbox 360 versions of PES 2011, PES 2012, PES 2013, PES 2015, PES 2016, PES 2017 and PES 2018?

Daymos and OPE were the primary and most popular option file maker’s for most of the earlier versions, with TheViper12 doing some good stuff for the later ones.

The only option file with active links I’ve found for any of these is TheViper12’s 6.01 for PES 2017 (https://www.pesnewupdate.com/2016/11/pes-xbox-360-patch.html?m=1) though that one has a 2017/2018 database (and I tend to prefer original season patches) and is quite heavy to load up due to its size (5-10 minute loading time).
hey there,
i'll see that i fire up the old X360, maybe i can help you out with a copied Edit Data (original no mods) if i can get it to USB, then upload it.
i'll send you a PM about that

Hi there, thanks for responding and appreciate your offer to help! Would be keen if you’ve added kits, logos, and fixed club/competition names, hit me up if so!

On a side note, for anyone interested, I’ve found a copy of Daymos’ DP6 option file for PES 2013, though it is quite complicated to install (requires using PC tools and some technical Xbox 360 modding knowledge to install, e.g file rehashing, injecting/extracting from XTAF) - let me know if interested (and you have that Xbox 360 modding know how already), and I’ll share the file.

Hey there, fellow retro fans! :TU:

Wanted to ask you, what is your preferred match length in Master League for realistic scores in PES 5? (I am playing with the awesome original season patch by @Fabri55 and @Andregranata91). Right now I am trying to decide between 15 and 20 minutes. In your experience, what match length results in more realistic ML scores in played games in this edition?

I play 15 minutes. Works for me, although you really can't go wrong with the wonderful PES 5, whatever the match length.

I've always played the default 10 minutes and never thought of the scorelines being unrealistic.

One would suggest trial and error, and it depends on how good you are at the game! 😄

Hello guys, today I bought online an old ps3 with pes from 2010 to 2013 for a very cheap price.
I have two questions:
- can I have a 1080 p resolution if I use the console on a modern tv?
- can I use ps4 controller?

Thanks in advance :))

- Yes!

- Kinda. But they are temperamental. If I remember correctly it picks it up as a generic controller and some buttons don't always work. You'd be better sourcing a PS3 controller for sure. If you're struggling to find one you can have one of my as I've got seven or eight for some reason!

I'd also highly recommend jailbreaking the console. It's awesome. Means you can load up the whole PES archive from PS1 to PS3 from a hard drive. It'll even run RetroArch for 16-bit era games too.

Thanks for the reply mate, and for the kindness about joypads.
I hope to get mine working, I'll let you know in a few days :))

I've read about jailbreaking and I'm definitely going to do it!
Just out of curiosity... is it possible to update old Konami titles to the latest available DLC or can you no longer download anything?

And finally, a question for anyone...
Do you have PS3 option files or tools for converting from PC patches?

Cool. Let me know about the controller!

You can still (I think) download the software updates but not the data packs. You can manually install the data packs on a jailbroken console, but that's if you can find them! And the process is a pain in the ass.

The issue with a lot of option files is that they require the latest data packs to be installed, which is a problem due to the reasons above.

Don't take my word as gospel though, modding isn't my strong suit and I was an ardent FIFA player throughout the console's lifespan so I'm not too familiar with PS3 option files.

Does anyone have the Winning Eleven 2011 PS2 Korean iso file by any chance?

I've been looking around on the internet but not found anything and redump.org suggests that it hasn't been dumped at all which makes sense why I can't seem to find it.

The exact game ID is SLKA-25477

I might have just purchased this on eBay 😁.
I had no intention of collecting the Korean PS2 games after WE10LE but it looks like just started! I’ll create an ISO for it when it arrives.

I put a cheeky bid in for one on eBay but it was declined so we probably went for the same one! If it is the same seller they seem to have most of the other Korean games you may be after. Might be worth messaging them for a bulk buy price for all of them!
