I could attach the tool to the 1.0 exe but whenever i upgraded the exe with pesedit i cant attach to it anymore. Not even the latest one as i said. I have no idea how it worked before but i was surely tweaking the ball speed to my preference. And oh the game uninstalled my ML save too on top :D no idea again how is that possible, i have all kinds of legacy PES save folders without the games installed there from every generation but this one which im playing of course its included in the uninstall. I hate PCs.

So i've finally done it. Competed a personal goal of mine, busting a myth.

As you know, in pes 6, players after the whistle, pick up the ball using flicks and walk off the field holding the ball, but what about the refs ? I remember in pes 3 4 and maybe 5, there is an animation dedicated for refs to go pick up the ball and walk off with it, but never in the case of PES 6. In pes 6, its a very RARE occurrence when refs pick up the ball. Here is the breakdown, if the whistle is blown and the ball in within the vicinity, the refs go for the ball, but never seen picking it up, even if the ball is right infront, the ref walks toward it but ignore the ball (contrary to players who run to it and pick it up), you can only see the following if the ref is not in the shot i.e. camera is never on ref and that is when i imagine he picks it up, the timing is very short and game allows only few angles before going to the highlights. I can safely say that i finally have seen it.

Back for another retro PES fix. Glad to see it's all still happening in here. A couple of questions...

1. Anyone got a link to the best/up to date option file for PES 2008 on the PS2. I have yours @geeeeee but wanted to see what's what before I crack on with the McBoot thingy.

2. How does PS2 era PES perform in League Mode opposed to Master League. I'm thinking of giving this a go if it provides more of a challenge.

Hey, yep it’s still happening in here.

1. Not sure of any up to date ones i’m afraid. I am working on my latest one which will hopefully be released in the next few weeks. The only thing is that you will need to play it with the ISO file that I will be releasing too. So either using an emulator or a usb stick plugged into a ps2. (Which would be the McBoot thingy ;) )

2. Not really sure myself.

If you want to give the league a go pm me and I will send you the unfinished file which has the EPL, Championship, French, and Italian Leagues finished. :)

Thanks @geeeeee . The good news is that after much trial and error, I have cracked loading an option file onto the PS2 via mcboot. It's your one and mighty impressive it is.

I might do a bit of additional editing and give League Mode a go. I'm a bit tired of how Master League plays out with development so I'm thinking this might play differently.

Do you play using the disc or using a USB stick?

Also, what league are you thinking of using?
 
Guys, i got a (big) problem :
I'm rebuilding from scratch a PES 5 option file, no one got it with summer transfers (more realistic) + i will copy all stats from Winning eleven 10 for a more realistic in terms of stats O.F.
I already modded a lot of players and correction, full teams etc., many faces and Hgt/weight errors it's pretty hard from that season, even more hard with only Summer Transfers than Winter (just recopying all WE10 and converting Balance /the range is different/ , tactics and that's all).
I got to check on Transfermarkt, soccerway, took notes, checking if the player played or not etc.

Patchmakers may use that O.F. as a base without problem, i think starting with summer transfers and most important players transferred in Free Agents is more realistic, no O.F. i checked have it complete at all.

Now, here's the big problem : i trough than like on PES 6, you would got the option, on Master League, to choose "play with/without Classic Players".
But i unlocked everything for editing it.

Is there a way to lock those teams or i'm screwed ? I just tried with PES5 Editor, copying from a file to another, it copy also all Classics even with 0 PES Shop WEN. I read you can lock here : http://www.pesgaming.com/index.php?threads/pes5-we9i-pesfan-editor-5-08-released-12-05-06.36360/

But you can't. Only UNLOCK ffs.

So if you got something, a trick, anything, to help, i won't/can't create U21 or all that, way too much time consuming and i got another project after that.

I will try to convert from a base option file (without anything on it) with the "Save data manager" and import players/teams manually.
That's probably the only option. I'll edit if it worked :)

Hi, really sorry to hear that.

There may be one way that could work.

First of all please make sure that you BACK UP YOUR OPTION FILE! ;)

1. Open up the editor with your Option File.
2. Then open up the same Option File as OF2
3. Go to 'Tools' and then select Convert OF2 > OF1
4. Then save it.
5. Open up that saved Option File and check in the PES / Shop tab if the shop items are locked again.

Please me know if it works?
 
Actually it's strange because when I unlock the shop items and save it. When I open up the OF again they are locked again.

If you have any problems could you please upload for me so that I can try it on my PC.

I found something very "tricky" and it worked... I'm relieved you have no idea. Some small errors i put on spoiler, no important.
If i convert OF2 to OF1 > It copy also the Classic teams. So i got to do manually on PES direction, on Editing Mode (loading OF2 and import teams. Then back to PESEDITOR 5, and copy all kits parameters otherwhise you got bugs on the created logos)


Only duplicates on NT haven't been removed, but i need them as i found a strange issue:
-All attacker (so WG, SS, CF) disappears literally from the game when you remove it.
-For others positions, only few stay (Hildebrand, Sneijder etc. it's kinda random)

I will need those players for building my O.F., as i want to keep to removed players on it and perhaps, if i got time for the V2, replace them by the ones who has been transferred on Winter transfers. But it's a lot of work, and my next project will be based on.... PES 2008 PS2. I would like to work on the PC version, but i'm recopying facial parameters and it's impossible to do.

If i do something on the PC version....
As i still believe it's like a PES old school in HD, and really got fun to play last day, but not on PES 2009 and 2010 : shoots are too easy and players never completely miss by shooting super high like on older PES : but PES 2008 does, it's the closest to the PS2 version, well if the turning animations looked more like PES6 X360... That version wasn't robotic while you moved, and it was a 8 direction game.
If one day, i will work on it, as i'm limited in terms of advanced edition, i will took VirtuaRed Deluxe patch and restore it with 2009 stats as it's based on the 09-10 season (more authenticity and balance, Konami until PES 2014 was mastering stats better than anyone in my opinion. Just a bit "late" to gives a good players his deserved stats lol, but there was a "stats creation system" that time than only them got)

Probably to me on PS2, the 2008 is on part with PES5, best version they've made... BUT :

I tried every PS2 version. And it seems the more "worked" in all aspect seems to be PES 2014. And the most complete in terms of modes and possibilities.
The season isn't that "ugly" in terms of rosters, it's important for us i think.
PES 5 is probably one of the best with the most legendary players... Well more in Serie A.

To resume : if i got to choose right now, i couldn't between PES 5, 2008, 2014 PS2. I would need to play a lot on at least the 2 others hidden gems.

-One last note: i replayed ISS 3 on PS2. And they were in advance : you can move with 32 directions i think if you use the analog.
I was pretty surprised. For the rest is by far less technical than PES of course.
(Also tried FIFA 14 PS2 by curiousity, i was really surprised in a good way, was really a PS3 version gameplay lookalike, a very good footie game but i will post it on RETRO PS2 thread :D you even got the 16/9 option)
 
Got a question guys about what do you like better about PES Shop players, to unlock :

1. Players who got the right age based on the season to unlock, even if they're retired that year (example Desailly 39 y.o., Radebe 36, Effenberg 37°
2. Same as above, but ONLY players who are still active that season.;

In my opinion, as every player will got a regen... Those who gets retired will be on the same timeline as the others so i would choose number 1. option after thinkin about it. They're designed to be "active" so.... But i''m not against option 2. neither. Just that we would miss some interesting players.

You ask as an opinion, or as advise for an OF you created.

Well No1 is what i do until today. Retired players like Henry,Rosicky, Arteta, but with their real age and stats adjusted accordingly. IE Totti is 40+ but retired in PES 2018, so i take Totti stats from 2018 and apply reduction formula similar to ML, first reduce speed and stamina , related stats, then rest physical, last other, never technical, like ball control.

Then Henry, or Van Nistelroy or Vam Mistelroom!!! :) is also 40+ but retired around PES2012, so it is more difficult to me. A lot different games, different state and formulas.

My basic principle is, Not be called in National Team a 40+ yo, keep some signature stats, like Adriano Shot power, regen as a future star..

But i do this in more modern pes games, after pes2013 and forward.

I am pleased that you have got it sorted :)

Regarding PES shop players, i do not unlock anything. The reason being is that in my experience in PES2008, it means there are more 5000 points players in ML which kills the realism for me. Keeping them locked away keeps it to a minimum even though they still appear sometimes.

I think it's good on the long terms : those players will be brought for sure whatever, and they fits with the 2005-06 Timeline :)

I don't understand the part about PES 2008 / 5000 points... Because they're free that they cost 5000 points that's right? Well, personally i don't care about it that much.
It's already not realistic to have 16 teams leagues, neither the 2nd division system and could have after 3 season Galatasaray in French Ligue 2 with the 2nd division system if you don't touch anything and launch the ML so...

That's for me a way bigger concern.

They should have reduced to 6 instead of 7 teams on 2nd division season : there's more or less 2 teams to fit even if they aren't at all linked with the league. So the 4 removed teams + 2 added. I don't know, Brugge/Anderlecht for Eredivisie, Celtic/Rangers for PL (there's Wales teams so, it's UK)
Etc. with Spain/Portugal or Belgium/Netherlands.
a bit hard for Bundes : there's many teams on Bundes with a Turkish names and a lot of "Dogan" on that league. But 2 Netherlands teams fits too (German/Holland etc. lookalike)
And for Serie A (my favourite), it's practically impossible. Spanish teams are pretty different even if the language is "Latino" for both.

That's personally how i try to built my ML... But found a 3rd team to assign is a kinda hard.

One time or two, in the past, i've mixed Bigger/Good/Average/Small teams like if it was a full European Championship. It wasn't realistic, but super fun
... But it takes way too much time taking to switch teams. I'm less patient about those things at my age right now.

probably a long shot but does anyone have a kitserver ballpack for the PC version of PES 3? specifically looking for the Adidas Fevernova there is a version of that ball for the PS2 WE7i but of course the ball mdl won't work on pc

This is why PES 2012 had the best training system in PES series, IMO. (quoted from another forum).

The system is very similar to the old FM general training system.

First i want to say i'm Indonesian, and my English is'nt good, so please don't be shy to correct or ask for my bad english to clear your understanding with this thread...

ML training in PES 2012..
i realized so many (included here) who veteran on PES2011 ML, getting frusatrated with training system on PES 2012, many of them so frustrated with "weird" player progression in PES2012 ML...

if in PES 2011, we just will keep informed that our player keep progressing after match (mainly who played in that match), but in PES 2012 ML, we don't have NOTHING like super training computer information player who give us VERY detail the progress of our player with each his stats, IN PES 2012 we must keep monitoring it on Squad List..

ENOUGH with chit chat introduction, just let's start the tips with general tips :


FIRST i want you take in your mind about PES2012 ML training system is : in PES 2012 EVERY PLAYERS on your squad will have very good progression as long as you have proper training method for your team, don't matter if he is just bench warmer who just played 1-3 times a season, he will still have good progress, it doesn't matter he is very bright future youngster, or veteran age 32-34 yo, they will keep progressing *i repeat AS LONG AS YOU HAVE PROPER TRAINING METHOD


so in this point, i bet you will have a question mark in your mind like "how i can have proper training method to my team?"

okay, i will start with the basic first :

PES 2012 ML training system divided into 5 trainings : technique, physical, speed, strategy, and last condition :

first i will show you what stats included in technique, physical speed and strategy.


okay on this point, i believe you all have some conclusion about what training we will use mainly, yeah..correct, is technique training, with so many stats will improve if you are doing tech training, tech training will improve your Overall Rating players quiet fast :

So i have my training pattern like this :

- 2-3 weeks Technique.
- 1 week physical.
- 1 week speed.
- keep condition training if my team on hard schedule or after international duty or many player in bad condition like blue or purple arrow (so it's very important to check schedule, player condition every weeks).
- 1 week strategy training


IF you want, you can manage 1 week with 2-3 kind training, like 2 days technique, 2 days for physicall/speed, 2 day strategy BUT i think training effect with above method regime have more effect quickly.

I have done this training method oo my freak PES UNITED ML default team, not bad, after 3 season my Shimizu (RMF) now his OR is 92, Ettori(AMF) 85, Camacho(CMF/DMF) he my bench warmer player from youth team around 67 on my recruitment after 3 season now his OR 84.

NOTE :
the pattern above isn't fixed, you may choose your training with your team coondition, sometime team don't like with the training you choosed, like teamwork keep draining because you choose speed training, team condition bad many purple and blue arrow, altough the schedule is not tight, AND MOST IMPORTANT always check your squad developement in squad list (L2 twice) if you find the whole team shows blue bar more than red bar, it means you must try diffrent training ASAP and find your team training want.


And sometime your captain or key player will be warning you if you keep repeat same training over and over.

Basically this is a quick picture I took of a random ML I set up to give you an example, notice the top players. Don't worry Griezmann I will change :D

If I unlock classic teams and players in PES2008 then many players become 5000 points even if they are average players. So to me it looks unrealistic when there are a number of 5000 point average players in that list above the world class players.

I know that you say ML is unrealistic anyway with just 16 teams and 2 divisions. The thing is that I cannot change that part of the game but the value of players I can change as long as I do not unlock them.

Not sure if this is the case with PES5 and 6 though.

Yes i wasn't aware of it. You're way is more logic, you pay for the "name" in fact not the stats (Zahovic for example was a great player for his country, but not a superstar, a micro "name").

Got some questions, as i always edited PES for tournament with friends, not for Master League so....
1st question : I think i'll be running out of free players who left the teams, to new ones if i want to make the teams complete.

Found one way, but it won't work for every teams : on Auxerre there's a player named Suriano. He's listed on the team, but didn't played at all since 2002, neither after, no more games on Ligue 1. But that makes a lot of research.
You got to check practically every player appearances/benches from the club.
I ain't sure to like it that much, but teams needs from start 2005-06, complete.
For players supposedly transferred, i do +- the same : some where brought by the club but didn't make a single bench during the season lol. Don't even appears in WE10.

2nd question : i remember players from "created" section were causing problems when, for example, a club release it, only you can transfer him. For the others teams, he's erased from the transfers list and they can't buy him... But it was the case for PES 2015-2021 if i remember.
I got no idea if it's the same.
Or if there's a way, with a simple O.F. editor to add players not in game. You can't create IDs with a PES Editor so, at least the 5.

The other thing i try to do (which is more important than the price of a player) is make sure that the top players are rated A then the next ones B and C etc. That way they will mostly go to top clubs in ML and it makes it harder for your team to buy them unless you build your club into an A rated one.

Not sure how to answer question 1 but regarding question 2, after i have created a team i start up a ML and count their players to check if they are all there. I think this is another problem with newly Created players.
 
Hi bros! I have a pretty simple question:

I would like to watch League and Cup matches in PES 5 (I have a Brazilian patch I'd like to test out) but I can't find the option for auto subs anywhere. Basically I would like to have the CPU control everything in both teams, strategies, substitutions.

I can do it in exhibition (just put the controller in the middle), but I can´t do this in League or Cup games. Any help would be appreciated, if possible with screenshots that'd be helpful too..

They should have reduced to 6 instead of 7 teams on 2nd division season : there's more or less 2 teams to fit even if they aren't at all linked with the league. So the 4 removed teams + 2 added. I don't know, Brugge/Anderlecht for Eredivisie, Celtic/Rangers for PL (there's Wales teams so, it's UK)
Etc. with Spain/Portugal or Belgium/Netherlands.
a bit hard for Bundes : there's many teams on Bundes with a Turkish names and a lot of "Dogan" on that league. But 2 Netherlands teams fits too (German/Holland etc. lookalike)
And for Serie A (my favourite), it's practically impossible. Spanish teams are pretty different even if the language is "Latino" for both.

Well, I definitely see where you come from and I totally share that point of view. I'd never mix Italian and Spanish/Portuguese teams either
Being ML a "fictional" environment, though, I came up with a "fictional but functional" solution for PES 5 and PES 6.

Imagine all the big leagues dissolving and UEFA being forced to "re-arrange" teams by geographic areas. I'd usually do as follows (or very similarly depending on the teams available):

  • D1 NORTH: 10 teams from England/Wales, 2 from Scotland, 3 from Scandinavia (Denmark/Sweden/Norway usually), 1 from Russia
    • D2 NORTH (if used): 6 teams from England, 1 from Scandinavia (Finland, usually, if available), 1 from Russia (if no teams are available, more teams from England/Scotland are picked)

  • D1 CENTRAL AND EAST: 8 teams from Germany, 4 teams from the Netherlands, 2 teams from Belgium, 2 teams from Eastern Europe (Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria...)
    • D2 CENTRAL AND EAST (if used): 4 teams from Germany, 2 teams from the Netherlands, 1 team from Belgium, 1 team from Eastern Europe (if no teams are available, more teams from Germany are picked)

  • D1 SOUTH: 10 teams from Italy, 2 teams from Greece, 2 teams from Turkey, 2 teams from the Alps (Austria/Switzerland)
    • D2 SOUTH (if used): 6 teams from Italy, 1 team from Greece, 1 team from Turkey (if no teams are available, more teams from Italy or from the Alps are picked)

  • D1 WEST: 8 teams from Spain, 6 teams from France, 2 teams from Portugal
    • D2 WEST (if used): 4 teams from Spain, 3 teams from France, 1 team from Portugal (if no teams are available, more teams from Spain/France are picked)

It's not optimal (and it's subject to changes depending on what I need, for example I may move Belgian teams to D1 North if needed) but I think it's somehow the most "lifelike" thing I can imagine when there's only a D2 league available and few slots.
More difficult will be the "PES 2014" case in which there's a single D2 for several full leagues... But I'd usually pick a Portuguese team there, being it Naval or Farense (as the PTE Patch features the Portuguese D2).

I could be wrong, but aren't there a handful of exceptions? This is from a hazy recollection from back in the day when I made option files. I want to say about four or five duplicates still appear in ML. Seol Ki-hyeon is one, if I'm not mistaken. Might be worth checking out if you're struggling for space!

Also @Madmac79 if you notice. Players in 2015 have a second page of stats with combined abilities, like in 2014, which gives another depth to player stats and attributes. I guess after 2016 it was either removed or became hidden.

I saw a tool to change those stats, but i think it's just for Japanese players, i should try with others players to see their hidden stats, if they're available

Since the combined attributes were calculated / based on the normal attributes, I think they were hidden in PS2/PS3 era editions and since PES 2016.

Still I don't understand if Reaction and Teamwork and Tenacity attributes are now hidden
