The PES4 Master League Thread - YEAH!

His main position is SMF with WF secondary. His stats are low apart from Stamina and Teamwork, which are quite high, but the stats won't be much use to you because they've done A LOT of global stat adjustments in this patch to alter the gameplay. A bit like Tomba's thread.

He does look like real life, in fact their likeness is pretty good.

What is the deal with his loan? Is it til the end of the season, when he'll return to Genoa regardless?

Actually, I just found this:

Palermo set to confirm deal for Verona attacker Behrami
tribalfootball.com - May 9, 2005

Palermo are expected to confirm the signing of Verona attacker Valon Behrami before the end of the month.

Juventus are understood to have secured a deal for the Swiss kid, whose registration is co-owned between Verona and fellow Serie B club Genoa.

Behrami is set to sign a five-year deal with Juve, which will immediately loan the youngster to Palermo for next season.
He has also been linked with Spurs. I think I might release him at the end of the first season :o, it seems like he's only in Verona temporarily.

I see so they've lowered stats to play game at slower more realistic pace. How you enjoying that??

I also thought he could probably be a OMF as well but not sure.

Hope to see him in Serie A next year.. with his Persian last name hahhaa!! Just proves that our roots lie somewhere back in Europe likely now modern day Albania or whatever. which sucks. haha lol

i'm out

I'm enjoying it quite a lot actually, they've done a decent job of it. As you say, the pace of the game is slower and more realistic, which I like.

So Behrami might have Persian roots? He's part everything! Yugoslavia, Albania, Switzerland... co-owned, bought, then loaned before he's bought... surprised he knows whether he's coming or going ;)

lollll.... Nah It's not that he has Persian roots it's that Us Persians are originally from Europe. But after all these years of tracing.. they know we were indo-Europeans and immigrated to Middle East but don't know what modern country it would be. But seeing this guy's last name a few months ago and after some research.. found out our OLD OLD ancestors were something like Albanians but of course now it doesn't matter cuz they've mixed up with people aroudn them like Balkans and we've mixed up with Arabs around us so nowadays not all of them look like us but still we have those that look Pure Persian like Altin Lala. lol

Anyways enough ethnicity discussion lets get back to ML. My data is 70% done and I'm looking forward to finally enjoying a nice realistic ML after a long time off and my first one with We8LE ;)

Cossu Double Decides Derby

Hellas Verona's Andrea Cossu moved atop the Serie B scoring charts yesterday thanks to a brace that sunk rivals Vicenza.

It was a second derby triumph in two weeks for the gialloblú, who knocked Vicenza out of the cup in their prior meeting. With coach Viscidi restricted by a touchline ban, the visitors were leaderless and unable to find a response to Cossu's goals, dropping behind their rivals in the league standings as a result.

Verona struck either side of half-time, when first midfielder Martino Melis and then veteran strike-partner Edoardo Artistico provided the required passes for Cossu's elusive runs, and the in-form attacker did the rest with two neat finishes.

The derby victory leaves Verona well placed to continue chasing leaders and title-favourites Atalanta when play resumes after the winter break.

FC Zwolle back in Holland Casino Eredivisie.

After 1 year abscene FC Zwolle is back in the HCE. The squad of FC Zwolle has had a stable year which resultated in promotion. The big question is; if Zwolle is ready for HCE or not?

wesseling.jpg

New trainer Roy Wesseling is full confident that the club will survive the first year and then can grow further.

Wesselings new signings.

FC Zwolle has done 2, yes you can say, spectacular sigings for the next season. Jari Litmanen and his friend Delano Hill have signed a contract in Zwolle. Litmanen wants to end his carreer in the country where he had the most succeses and which has become his second homeland. Litmanen signed a 1 year contract in Zwolle. Besides these two players FC Zwolle also signed goalkeeper Jurgen Wevers from RKC Waalwijk.

litmanen.jpg

Injury sensitive Jari Litmanen, here with the new shirt with number 10, says he chose for FC Zwolle cause he wanted to go back to Holland and Zwolle is a wonderfull place to live and of course to flame one more year for the 'fantastic' dutch public!
porthill4.jpg

Delano Hill signed a 2 years contract at FC Zwolle after he was free to go when Hansa Rostock got relegated. Wesseling is very happy with this signing; ''This type of defenders we need, next to Ravensbergen he can be from great value''

de_jarige_jop.jpg

203 cm long Goalkeeper Jurgen Wevers was not at the presentation cause he is still with his old club RKC Waalwijk in Spain to prepare for next season which he will start in the goal of FC Zwolle.

FC Zwolle chairman Van Vliet was stating at the presentation that FC Zwolle must not end below the 10th place otherwise people have to be fired.. This is a direct signal to trainer Roy Wesseling. The statement of the chairman is pretty unfair; Roy Wesseling has a very small selection which is almost complete First Division selection. Although the chairman bought two good players but can they take the selection to another level, which is absolutly needed, to survive the first year?

Selection FC Zwolle 2005/2006:

Goalkeeper:

-Jurgen Wevers
-Roozenbeek

Defenders:

-Ravensbergen
-Hill
-Bischop
-Almeida
-Hooiveld

Midfield:

-Breinburg
-Litmanen
-Van Dinteren
-Jochemsen
-Schol
-Janssen
-Zuurman

Forward:

-Lim-Duan
-Esajas
-Berger
-Korf

How do you guys know all these players ive never heard of. Your football knowledge is amazing.

i thought i knew a lot.

Hi mate

Basically I've always been more interested in top flight Footie in other countries that lower league football, therefore I know less about the make up of the teams in The Championship in England than I know about La Liga for instance.

Most of my info comes from four main sources

1. the interweb (obvioulsy) - Soccernet/Guardian - Sid Lowes great Spanish reviews are legendary

2. books & magazines (Rough Guide to Europea Football, Morbo,World Soccer mag and recently discovered European League guides through a mail order company)

3. TV footie e.g. Sky & in particular Eurosport - Eurogoals/UEFA cup/pre season matches/internations as well as Serie A & French coverage.

I recently discovered on channel 834 every friday at 5.30pm they have a 30 min Bundesliga show (in English) on DW (German channel)

4. WE/Pro Evo - learnt more about the Dutch League esp the smaller clubs than could possibly have envisaged via lots of games involving RKC, Gronigen, Den Haag etc..

Btw PLF - I think youre knowledge of individual players -their stats/appearance.boots etc.. far exceeds mine

Legendary! :D Really legendary!

Anyway, I love your stories DB. Its legendary too how you can make such a story ''just'' about a ML.. I love to read all the stories here (nerfs, laams and Profs) but most yours cause of the diversity. The stories about rivals, the report before the match, the pictures, the real-ness. It has it all!! Just like PLF said you could easily work at real paper to report matches!

I wish I could hold as long as you.. But like I posted yesterday I started at FC Zwolle and the start was great! I lost the first 2 matches but from then I started to control the matches, the AI hardly makes it hard for me. Then the fun is so quick over for me.. I think I have to make my FC Zwolle squad even more worse and the give the dutch teams again a stat-boost, just to make it harder for me.. Well I wont bore you with my stories about how easy the game is, bring on the stories!!

Cheers

Simao completes his spending with pounce for Pacheco

In what has to be arguably the transfer coup of the summer, Maritimo have aquired the services of Albacete's long haired white booted maestro Antonio Pacheco on a 3000 transfer which sees ageing striker Pena going the other way.

pacheco_attacks.jpg

The ink had barely dried on the flambuoyant South American's new contract when he launched into a heartfelt tirade, mixing his metaphors, and slamming his former president Ángel Contreras for letting him go.

pacheco_bidsfarewell.jpg
Pacheco - salutes fans

penagoes.jpg
Pena - new opportunity at the twilight of his career

Pacheco - Treated like an animal

"They treated me like an animal." the Uraguyan said. "I was instrumental in the club's rise and got them to the cup final last year. I didn't ask for more money and I didn't want anything unreasonable, but still he stabbed me in the back like a dog."

alb_president.jpg

Contreras responded "Clearly we appreciate Antonio's impact on the team these past few years. However we decided that the time was right to cash in and bearing in mind the players age we had to look to the financial stability of the club."

Missing out on promotion for a second season in a row is also thought to have contributed to the La Mancha based sides decision, which could potentially backfire spectacularly if his goals contribute to Maritimo's rise at the expense of his former employers.

Alternatively the Portuguese side could crash and burn with both Pacheco and Lobaton and their fiery Latin personalities to contend with in the same side. One things for certain though, life won't be dull this season at the Estadio Dos Barrieros.

Maritimo are Looving it

Lastly but by no means least, Glenn Loovens arrives on a free as a back up centre half from Feyenoord to keep up the precense of a small Dutch community in the middle of the Atlantic.

Injury blow for Utrecht

Can’t believe it man, I was playing a league game against FC Basel, Rajcomar had the ball and was running in on goal…as he was about to turn Muller for pace, Muller hacked him down just outside the area! Muller got his second yellow card and got sent off and BTW his first yellow card was for a tackle on Rajcomar!

Rajcomar was on the fall all hurt, holding his leg and everything and then on the caption it showed a red injury sign, looked in team information and it said he was out for 14 WEEKS!!! I don’t know how am going to cope without him and not only that Calabro, Leitoe and Wisse are not regular goal scorers like him. This is going to be a bit of test because this season I’m trying to challenge for the title. He won’t be back until after the mid-season transfer window, so I’m gonna miss him.

But I kinda like this, because it’s going to be a challenge for me and more importantly it feels realistic.

Rajcomar has already scored 5 goals in 6 games this season and is currently top scorer, shows how important he is to the club.

Very harsh mate. He truely is a Prince who's worth his weight in gold.

Yeah i know, his my bail money, whenever i am a goal down or something, his the only player that can help me get out of trouble even when i am not trying to score with him, he just pops up out of nowhere and scores.

Has to be my best discovery in PES ML.

Guillem Balague's Preview of Season 3
Your Essential guide to the Runners, Riders, Dark Horses and also rans in this season's Iberian Second Division

Well then, 3 years into the Iberian Championship, and I think it's fair to say this season promises to be the closest race so far. For my money any of 3 teams could take the title, with no less than another two likely to be in the shake-up for Promotion come the seasons end.

With no clear favourite newly relegated Real Sociedad have held onto the exciting Nihat and Kovacevic and their partnership will need to be firing on all cylinders to boost the Basques back into League 1.

Malaga who were unable to sustain their place in the top flight will be looking to bounce back at the first time of asking and certainly have the personnel to achieve that.

Maritimo are an intriguing proposition this time around, and after investing heavily in the summer I certainly don't see another bottom of the table finish. With the ever volatile Pacheco on board, I think they would be fairly happy with a mid table position although I think it still too soon for them to be thinking about going up.

Albacete having undergone a change in personnel appear visibly weaker this time around and the fans dismay at the sale of one of their most popular icons could spell board room changes should the team fail to spark.

Numancia are once again likely to be found around the foot of the table, but may spring the odd surprise and cannot be underestimated and considered the soft touch they once were.

Levante suggest another season of consolidation beckons, although Valencia's second side are capable of a decent run if they can get their key men fit.

Getafe are likely to be scrapping against relegation once more, as they lack the financial clout to really improve the team and make any advances on last years 7th place slot.

Finally what of my own team Espanyol ? - Well, after a disappointing attempt at promotion last year, the expectations have certainly been somewhat dampened. De la Pena and Tamudo certainly deserve a bigger stage on which to parade their award winning talents in contributing to the team's 30 goal haul last year. The real problems may still lie in defence with 25 conceded last term and a back line that leaves the impressive Kameni too often exposed.

ballaguet5.jpg

GB's hit parade....

1 Malaga
2 R Sociedad
3 Levante
4 Espanyol
5 Maritimo
6 Numancia
7 Albacete
8 Getafe

So are you going to pushing for promotion this season or are you not ready yet?

Hi pal, gotta agree with the Spanish Hedgehog really. Can't see us not improving on last season (or prev one) as there's ceratinly more quality in the squad now.

Mid table would suit me and hopefully El Presidente too.

btw - website will relaunch later with a squad presentation!

cheers

Are you going to dip into the transfer market to replace the Prince mate ? gues it depends on how the others cope without him

Nah don't think so...but i haven't been doing to well though.

Played three games just now, one draw and 2 lost.....only tow goals scored in those matches.......i am currently 13th in the league :(

Need my forwards to step there game up.

they certainly need to pull their collective fingers out. youre not a one man team afterall. You need a Wenio type figure in the dressing room mate, someone who can knock a few heads together etc...

Excellent stuff as always, db. I've missed Guillem's input! I disagree with him slightly, however - I reckon Maritimo will sneak into the top-half this season.

Sounds like Pacheco will be fired up for when Albacete come to the Estadio dos Barreidos...

hi pal,

Yeah what with his Sky commitments, the grizzly one's infrequent articles dont really justify his excessive salary, but when he churns one out (so to speak) i think it's a case of quality than quantity ;)

I appreciate your optomism nerf, hopefully not ill placed, Theres no outstanding side this year (at least on paper) so 4th is not totally out of the question.

Your spot on about Pacheco!! actually im slightly concerned that he may get too carried away. The latest in a long line of eccentric South americans - I'm trying to think of a suitable nickname for him.

The Monster from Montivideo doesnt have much of a ring about it. I was thinking of a a mafia sounding name e.g.

Jimmy "The Weasel" Fratianno, Dominick "Sonny Black" Napolitano, Ronald "One Arm" Trucchio etc...

Wow.... DB I could never get tired of your stories/previews and Stringer, you've made the most improvement my friend ;) I'm hooked on your story as well now. I love it when something like that STAR player injury happens because like you said it's a real test as to whether some other striker who hasn't shown much promise yet can step up their game and take the star man's place while injured like often it happens in real life. And then you also get a dillema of whether you should dip in to your transfer kitty and bring a short-term replacement via loan or not such good player but one that'll give more depth and could possibly take Rajmocar's place while injured very well.

@DB, thanks for the compliment bro. While i'm fully sure of my own level of knowledge I think your is as magnificent as I have seen as well and apart from you and Prof and this other dude named Juni ;) on CM/FM forums.. I have not seen someone at my own level and that's why it is always a joy to talk to you.

Finally I'd like to say that soon whether I release my data publicly or not.. I hope to give each one of you ML fanatics a copy because I truly believe it will FRESHEN up our games.

I hate to see a talented promising youngster like Rajmocar be given 3 for consistency and 4 for conditioning?? Why?? Did he show he was inconsistent no.. Konami simply decided 90% of players under 21 who've barely gotten a chance to play yet are inconsistent and also in many cases have low RESPONSE and agility even for very fast players. This is ridiculous as these stats barely ever improve and Consistency/Conditioning NEVER improve!! So if you play a long-term game like Nerf I guess.. after 10-12 seasons that all the real life's stars have retired.. you'll see a hell of a lot more players with 4 or 3 consistency since those are the youngsters now approaching their 30's.

My data will also make those appropriate Dutch players better so your league won't be so easy GFK ;) I mean that's why we're doing this so players rated INDIVIDUALLY not on the basis of the team they play in.

How is it that Mark Gonzalez of Albacete (One of the fastest in the league and most promising) will get a 77 for speed if he's in Albacete and a 97 if he was in Milan??? Are you telling me that fast players play in top clubs and crappier clubs can't have fast players?? this is the type of shit that pisses me off along with 100 of players who have good FK stats and have been forgotten like DB's new signing Pacheco, Yildirim, David Villa, Albert Riera, Delroy Buckley and the list goes on and on.

This is why I can't bring myself to play ML right now because it'd seriuosly piss me off if I was DB and got a FK in a promising position just to check to find out oooh... Pacheco has SHIT FK stats in the game and I have no other specialists.

I hope to finish the work sooner though it takes a good 4 weeks and I've been working for 2 weeks straight now and I'm confident if we don't run into any problems and actually finish this vast project.. it'll bring us all much more enjoyable ML with better stats for Rajmocar and co ;) and also MANY MANY new players created that were needed so updates are 100% up to date and many new players to try/buy play with.

I think it'll be the best data i've ever played with in a PES/WE game and can't wait for it myself. Cuz till then I can only do friendlies without getting pissed :(

Take care guys! And hope to hear more from your wonderful stories.

I would like to say how good these updates are and I'm glad to see that people only sign realistic players, much more better to read. Deniro, how are you writing about the Portuguese league? I have a Portuguese option file but the player's stats would reset.

Anyway here are my Master League stories with Benfica in the Rest of Europe League. I also only sign realistic transfers as it makes it more fun, interesting and I won't get bored. I try my best with updates and add photos as well:

The link is from pesfan so you will need to register but it's worthit 8)

Thanks Riot

That Maritimo website is amazing, a great touch to you're stroies. How did you do it?

Riot you're a welcome addition here.

Guys Riot if the one I'm thinking bout ;) has very good football knowledge himself and is a very helpful member in PESFan forums.

@Riot, whatever is on option file doesn't count when you start ML as ML data is read from what's on the disc (DVD) not what's on option file. So if you want to have a new team/bunch of new players and new stats you need to put the option file on DVD burning it into ISO in ways that are described here if you search around.

That way you can have data you like and play ML with it and not the original crappy Konami data.

Take care
