I just bought a laptop for £500 it is good enough for games and plays everything on medium settings. Mine is a toshiba L850-1EF, has a 7670 graphics and an i5.
But laptops are the same as desktops you have to look at the full spec which stats what graphics card the machine had, not just what CPU it has.
Unless you go into the $1500-$2000 range your not going to get one that plays everything in high settings.
says next working day delivery so i reckon i'll have it all here by wednesday at the latest
2tb seagate hard drive and corsair PSU i got from ebay sellers as it saved me about £15
rest i got from aria.co.uk
Yes, keep us updated! Maybe post some pics too .
I will be trying Battlefield 3 later on my MacBook Pro running Windows 7...
I don't need to play everything on high settings. I basically play 3 games. Civilization V, battlefield 3 and football manager.
Keep a fire extinguisher at hand.
That really made me laugh!Keep a fire extinguisher at hand.
Ok guys. How about thoughts on this laptop for gaming? I will be hooking it up to a tv sometimes.

Yes that one is alot better you will be able to play all games on medium settings with that.
What if I upgraded the video card to the 2 GB version of the card? Would that make a difference?
2GB VRAM of the graphics card won't make much difference for laptop gaming. I would stick with 1GB unless the upgrade is cheap.
