How much was the corsair builder psu?
The one I recommended I was thought was a 530W modular

Sorry Becanes, no idea on what's good for a laptop needed to play games. GPU's are different in laptops, maybe bsmaff can help.

I just bought a laptop for £500 it is good enough for games and plays everything on medium settings. Mine is a toshiba L850-1EF, has a 7670 graphics and an i5.

But laptops are the same as desktops you have to look at the full spec which stats what graphics card the machine had, not just what CPU it has.

Unless you go into the $1500-$2000 range your not going to get one that plays everything in high settings.

That one is more expensive than the one I recommended if you include postage and mine was modular which makes it alot easier to build.
Could of got one for £30 which would of done the job for you, the one your bought though will do a job as it has 40A on the 12V rail but you won't be able to do crossfire, as my 680GTX requires a minimum of 38A to work properly, just to give you an idea of what I mean by making sure you have enough 12V AMPS.

I don't need to play everything on high settings. I basically play 3 games. Civilization V, battlefield 3 and football manager.

Yes, keep us updated! Maybe post some pics too :)).

I will be trying Battlefield 3 later on my MacBook Pro running Windows 7...

You prob won't get a laptop to run BF3 properly it is the most demanding PC game on the market.
You might be lucky to get a laptop to play it on low settings.

Hey guys, I am looking to replace the hard drive in my MacBook Pro and increase it from a 250GB one to a 500GB one, (I'm getting short on space since the dual boot I added). Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good website to get a hard drive from? Cheers.
