The Movies Thread

Started off in awe and thinking "what a great film", when the film ended I just looked at the missus and said "that is a joke". Literally a waste of time with an ending like that, might as well buy half a book.
 
Weird, I actually thought the second half was far better than the start, which I thought was very slow. Very good film.
 
In Bruges

After watching the trailer I tought I was going to be rubbish but no it's very cool and funny for a small movie. Lots of good talking scenes and I loved the character of Colin Farrell (he plays very well when he's not trying to be a hero).

I don't know what to say. The story is good, there's a lot of good ideas but the scenario kills it. It's both very frustrating and good but it could have been great with better actors first! And there's too many "OH, COOOOME ON !" moments that the movie kinda sucks.
It's very strange, I can't destroy the movie but I know it's not a masterpiece, so...

horrible flick hence why only Marky Mark read the script must`ve been short in cash. I gave it a 3 (for not being a long film )I did like the Lion bit ,US and French connection :P
 
It's not important that a movie is long or not. If you have nothing to tell, it could have been worst.
 
That sucks. I enjoyed the Mist a lot, apart from the stupid looking creatures. Was hoping that the Happening would would be good too. Marky Mark doesnt seem good for serious roles. No good vibrations.
 
I watched The Incredible Hulk last night.Well,what can I say is,it is definitely better than Ang Lee's version.

Edward Norton did a good job with his character.They made the Hulk a little bit believable this time round,they made him smaller than he was in the first film.

Looking forward to an all Marvel superhero reunion in the future!
 
I watched Drillbit Taylor last night

reminds me of Superbad but obviously not as good, still a funny film though
 
Bought an unlimited cinema pass earlier and just got back from watching The Incredible Hulk.

Absoloutely brilliant effects, I enjoyed the acting, some cheesy moments, top film really! I was worried that the CGI Hulk would look shit against real actors and backdrops but it looks perfectly normal and fits in well.

8/10 :))

I understood what Dags was trying to say.This Hulk looked better and much more sizable than the one from Ang Lee's movie...that Hulk looked too big and could jump from continents to another! This Hulk is much more 'humanized' and is all pure muscle.Next best superhero movie this season behind Iron Man...

I know I was just being silly :DD

I thought it was a sequal - I didn't know it was just another person doing a Hulk Film.

They should just get this guy from the old TV series;

Saw him in the paper the other day, hes even bigger now and hes 56 years old

Bring back the original Hulk!!!!!!!

Just been told he plays a part in the new movie, I thought the security guard looked huge! :LOL:
 
I got told The Happening was a decent film but Marky Mark was shockingly bad, but still worth watching the movie.
 
Just watched 1408. Really liked it. If you ever watch it, make sure to watch the other ending on youtube. Very good psychological thriller. John Cusack was great in it.
 
yeah i watched that i bit ago its a pretty good film

ill have to have a look for the other ending
