The Movies Thread

Recommend a film called 'Gamers' (2006). It's a mockumentary about these Americans who are obsessed with a role-playing game called DND (Demons Nymphs and Dragons).

If you like the American Office you'll like this, very funny!

Love movies, hate piracy.

Love movies, hate Coopz.

:nono:

(That's the second time in 5 mins I've used the finger wagging smiley on you Coopz, I think a ban is coming on \\:o/)

UGC cinemas used to do a month pass for £9.99 - That was over four years ago though :))

I used ot work there and It was fantastic - I could see anything I wanted - Used to see new films about a week before with special screenings.

I could also have 4 free tickets a day to give to my friends - YEE HAA!!!

Now I hardley watch many films in the cinema - As in London it is a Fucking rip off.

But I do still go occasionally :))

Watched Iron Man today. Brilliant movie! Almost the perfect superhero movie (Dark Knight will have something to say about that though!).

Oh, I watched "The Kite Runner" a few days ago. 9/10 definately, awesome film and I bet it's a better book too.

Never knew a movie came out! I've read the book. Absolutely brilliant. Will read his other book 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' now the vacation have started.

I'll definitely check out the movie.

Old School - 7.5/10

Very funny in parts, for the most part kept a smile on my face but just not as funny as I expected for the hype it was given by Coopz  Good comedy but nowhere near as good as the likes of Superbad or Knocked Up.

Nicole was damn hot too, as was Elisha Cuthbert as always :w00t:

Guess your not big Frat Pack fans then ;))

oh and you need to watch it twice to see all the gems in there

Old School is a great comedy, 9/10 for me, I enjoyed Identity too.

Watched Juno last night and thought it was pretty good

some of the bits made me laugh out loud anyway

Since French UGC cinemas are doing cheap tickets during the week, I'm going every nights :).

1st movie : What Happens in Vegas...

I liked it. Everyone liked it in the theatre. You don't watch this type of movie for its story but for its fun and the jokes are good enough for me.

Lake Bell

7+/10

Yeah i have seen better but some of the 1 liners and stuff crack me up everytime

like the part where the commentator says

"that the kid from the Jackson Five just seems a little weird"

and how everyone is stunned by the "Alley-Oop"

Watched National Treasure: Book Of Secrets.

It's an Indiana Jones wannabe... but considering early reviews of Indy 4 it may be even better.
Worth watching, but don't get your hopes high. Too predictable.

Ah c'mon it's a family film. Didn't reckon much to the first one. The new Indiana Jones will be miles better.

But is he too old for it all now? I'm sceptical :( I really want it to be good but I just can't see it ...
