The Movies Thread

National Treasure films are great IMO.

Also can't wait to see Indy.

And I just watched Blue Harvest through for the first time, what a brilliant, brilliant 'film' that is.

Blue Harvest? It's not on IMDB?

Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983)
aka "Blue Harvest" - USA (fake working title)

That??

I watched Semi-Pro last night

another typically funny Ferrell movie

I'm still looking for the "jokes". It's cool but far from funny (thanks some good characters such as the commentators).
It was not far from a big disappointment to me. Ferrell should stop playing in movies about sport, be original.

Will Arnett is amazing. I love the way he speakes. You never know when he is serious or not.

6-/10

I've got a feeling the new Indy film will be a steaming pile of shite. The trailor makes it look like every other CGI'd FXfest adventure movie and destroys the brilliance of the original three. It seems to be aimed at a more family audience as well, 7-13 year old boys will love it.

Not many have got to see the film yet but those that have said its brilliant

Finally found a cinema showing the original english version of indiana jones tonight at midnight.

Will go watch it after the cl final and let you all know what its like soon.

that was on ITV a week ago :))

you go to cannes to watch a film from 1980s

Talking of old films, i watched Chaos the other night, very good film apart from Jason Stathams pathetic attempt at doing a American accent

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Like kevano22, OVER ZE TOP but only the last part (and especially Shia in the jungle lol !). These moments weren't bad at all, but I understand why some people are hating them.
I was expecting to see that mythology in a movie for a long time, I was very pleased.

The only "little" problem is the characters should have died at least 20 times, but it's an Indy movie. Who cares.

A lot of funs scenes + a lot of scenes full of action = good good.

8+/10

watched street kings the other day, thought it was good but training day is much better imo. i found street kings way too predictible, but still worth a watch with a nice cast.

Saw Indiana Jones last night. I love these kinds of films, I agree with Tuta... the monkeys and the end were a little.... weird. The end though is based on theories, so its not like a random plot. Loved the music, cheesy lines and the fights. Shia was quite good, but that English fat guy really annoyed me.

Its still an Indiana Jones film, and was a satisfying watch. I think its a worthy addition to the original 3.

Yeah, dont think it was a part for Ray Winstone personally. Seemed out of place with what he usually does. Then again, he was Beowulf

Recommend a film called 'Gamers' (2006). It's a mockumentary about these Americans who are obsessed with a role-playing game called DND (Demons Nymphs and Dragons).

If you like the American Office you'll like this, very funny!

Watched it last night and it was funnier than I thought it would be :D Some really funny one-liners, pretty good acting too as it all looked very genuine, I'd recommend it if you like comedies :SMOKIN:

Just watched Harold & Kumar 2.

With my age group as the target audience, its a genius of a film, for other people, probably not.

Didn't stop laughing throughout.

Its great but its not as good as number one!
:cyclops:

Anyone got any baby ruth bars? :lmao:

Street Kings - 5.0/10

I was really hoping it'd be better than it was, but it was your average cop film with a rubbish twist, some average gunfights and just an average story again. Definately not something I'd watch again and a waste of nearly 2hrs watching it I think :(

The Happening

I don't know what to say. The story is good, there's a lot of good ideas but the scenario kills it. It's both very frustrating and good but it could have been great with better actors first! And there's too many "OH, COOOOME ON !" moments that the movie kinda sucks.
It's very strange, I can't destroy the movie but I know it's not a masterpiece, so...

5+/10.

Anyone seen "Teeth"? I've got it here after seeing what it was about () and just seen the advert for it ... I really can't see this movie being any good at all
