The Movies Thread

Watched the Incredible Hulk a couple of days ago. Really, really liked it. Thought it was better than the first. 8/10

Still waiting for Harold and Kumar 2 to release here. Or the DVD release.

hey mate, i thought so too, but then i actually went to the website they kept mentioning over and over in the movie. The filmakers left out alot of footage, at the restaurant the fillmakers make you think billy wont go in, but he did go in, and he sat with the dude from washington the whole time and they talked. There is a whole bunch of other shit they left out too. go to the website where the high scores are and read all of the inaccuracies, the filmmakers pissed me off more then billy mitchell did, they make him out to be a complete dick, but it turns out he isnt so bad...

there's a thread about this and i said exactly the same

Wanted - 9/10

TOP film, easily one of the best action movies I've seen with some brilliant effects, a good story and excellent acting, SUPERB!

Oh, and Jolie is gorgeous ;))

probably an old one to you guys! some of my mates said it was boring but i actually liked it

ZODIAC - long film but had me interested

8/10

Watched it today, was quality i agree, and obviously you can never go wrong with Jolie :)

To be honest i was thinking it was a bit average until the twist, was brilliant, never thought of it, one of those "OWWWWWWWW" moments:DD

The Chronicles Of Narnia - Prince Caspian - 9/10

Yep, another 9 from me. Another very good film, the Narnian animals and creatures looked awesome next to humans, very lifelike. Good story, lots of action scenes with enough story given as well. I enjoyed the first movie and this didn't disappoint.

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane

I was waiting this movie since last summer when I discovered Amber Heard on the show Hidden Palms.

A bit disappointed, a bit cheap but has a good ending.

6-/10

Wanted - 9/10

Excellent acting? HAHA not from Jolie. shes the worse actress known to man. i hater her movies:LOL:

The Forbidden Kingdom is really good. Its action packed and it is a bit of an epic. There's a great Jackie Chan and Jet Li fight scene. It's also got some good humour in it.
hated it. movie was dull and boring. they need to make an epic martial arts movie with deep meaningful stroryline as well has the standard action sequence that these two can produce.

i want a movie with real substance and emotions. Not this kiddie stuff. completely wasted my time watching such an average movie

^ I agree

Get Smart 8/10
- Was a good movie, I laughed a lot throughout the whole film. It has some predictable parts in it but It didn't bother me much.

Yep, ANOTHER 9 from me.

Hancock was quality, the modern day Superman. I really enjoyed the story, Will Smith was brilliant as always, some great humour and good effects too. Very enjoyable.

They are simply pretending the other one never happened.

This one is with Edward Norton in lead role.

I watched In Bruges a couple of nights ago and thought it was great. The script was very good and Colin Farrell was fantastic in my opinion, I laughed out loud a few times (the reference to Tottenham was just ).

Oh yeah, I also watched 21 and Jumper last week and thought they were good as well, specially the first. Jumper seemed a bit too short to me.

The new Hulk isn't part of the 'series'. Its brand new, made by Marvel because they believed the first was a total flop. :sick:ARGHHHHH

Seems like a film i'd put lower on my list, still need to see "In Bruges" and might give "Forbidden Kingdom a try aswell. I've reserved Hancock and Dark Knight for the Cinemas though, both seem like good movies inevitably after passing away Heath Ledger has been nominated for a Oscar.

I went watching Wanted and Kung Fu Panda last weekend and of the 2 of them Kung Fu Panda was more realistic ;))

Seriously though, Wanted is a good action flick but its total implausible. It is, however, a film you can sit back and enjoy as there is enough going on through the whole film.

Kung Fu Panda is exactly what you expect from a film of this type. It has its funny and heartfelt moments and has a story that although you know where its going its fun none the less.

im goingt o see kung fu panda tomorrow mich rather see that then wanted, hate jolie

Just watched 'The Happening' with Mark Whalberg in.

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst film I ever seen in my life. Definite 0/10. It doesn't even deserve a 1/10 for the fact it was so bad it was laughable. You may be thinking I'm being a bit over dramatic, but I seriously cannot think of a film that tops it. Mark Wahlberg was simply awful, the dialogue what tacky and the characters in general had no purpose.

Oh and as a side note, there is array of bloopers throughout the movie including a boom mic that is visible in the Model House scene. This, I'm sorry, is unforgivable. Whatever happened to the genius of M. Knight Shyamalan in his films such as The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable?

I feel so frustrated after watching this film, I don't know whether it's the loss of 1.5 hours out my life or just with the film industry in general for allowing this trash into the mainstream.

All in all I'm left with a feeling of how ironic the title to this film really is. What exactly did happen? I'm lost. It had no point to it whatsoever, just a bunch of people committing suicide. I've even tried checking out IMDB to shed some light on the main story.

Are you mad. It was an absolute shower of shite. I loved the first part of the film including the bank robbery part but after that it turned to absolute shit. Completely ridiculous film and ruined it. It was like the writers made a good script until half way then decided to take a piss all over it.
