The Amazing Spiderman - 7/10

Thought the first one's were excellent, but whilst this looked good, for me wasn't as good, although granted the other version did have 3 films.

Nightmare before Xmas 5/10

Can't say I really took to Jack Skellington and the rest of Disney.

Skyfall 007/10
A bit dissapointed. Craig is great but the rest not enough spectacular for me.
I know the license tries to stay close to reality but I'm not a fan.

Looper 8.5/10
Despite its flaws, the movie is excellent.
If you're a scifi fan like me, go watch it.

Prometheus 9.5/10

Epic !
Great !

Epic? Great?

No what I want is a volunteer to come up and kick me square in the balls for watching this fucking shite, one of the worst movies I've ever saw in my puff, absolute pants, why did it waste it's fecking time and embarass itself by showing an alien at the end of it too.

Quite simply the worst movie I've saw that I can honestly recall.

p.s. Btw, no offence, that's your call, marmite, i guess, just hope I never share a theatre with you, as I'll commit hara-kari if I got to watch another epic movie!

ehmm dont get me wrong, the movie and the acting is great, the script is lame and predictable

Silent Hill Revelation, 9/10

great movie!!!!.....well for a silent hill fan tbh...and i dig this kind of a directing! big thanks for the producers and the director not turn this movie into a resident evil s*/***/*

come on man ! tastes are different , you expected a sci-fi movie but I expected a movie about Greek legends and those theories about creation ..
that's what I loved and expected about that movie , not the aliens, not the chip, not the suspens and thriller ..

Watched Drive last night.

Not really sure how to rate it to be honest.

Seemed to be over way too fast and the ending was a cop out. Could've been the fact that I had to keep the volume low as other people in the house were sleeping but there wasn't much in the way of dialogue to tell a story.

He just did the job, a few people came after him and he killed them brutally, that was it.

And that's exactly how I feel, after all the hyping up it got, all my mates said I needed to watch it and then I did and....that was it?

6.5 I guess?

I loved Drive, the whole atmosphere about it was excellent. I enjoyed the acting, the music ... just a classy film.

I agree with you, didn't like that so-called movie .. I give it 4/10 ..

The music and atmosphere is excellent I agree, it's a very 'cool' film. Gosling is a badass as well but there's no character development, the plot is too simple and it ends too quickly.

Just left me wanting/needing more.

The setting, the character and other little things give it the potential to be a great/classic film but their is actually no story or not one that's any good.

Strange film.

Worst ever movie.

I'll stick to Jason and the Argonauts and MP Meaning of Life.

watched Ted and yup...dunno why so many people loves it like sex...nothing special, one cool thing about it is Flash Gordon (but honestly i dont think so many people under the age 25 will know what is that)....and i saw this movie/story so many times, the only thing is different that a teddybear is in it, quiet enjoyable if u r bored though

6.5/10

and i compare this to movies like Superbad or Zack and Miri Make a Porn, Pinapple Express, Harold and Khumar, Starsky and Hutch, Hall Pass, Horrible Bosses, Hangover 1 etc.

now go on, just hate me for it :D

Ted - 8.5/10

I thought it was really quite good. I was constantly laughing away throughout the whole movie and not just in certain scenes.

Total Recall

6.0/10
without kate beckinsale this would be a 5.0/10 for me... :D

overall the original was better.
but the remake looks very nice - cool future setting, due to nowadays possibilities it looks much better than 22 years ago... ;)

Expendables 2

6.5/10
This is better than the first one, which was not that difficult, I guess... :D

Abrahalm Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

What was I really expecting? I'll be kind and give it 7/10 as it was alright.

Mind you the bridge scene was absurd.

what do you think any chance of a Batman & Robin movie from Nolan?

(i know maybe that wasnt the reason that the 3rd movie ended like that but still...its like Nolan left an open door for himself for chance to return this universe once again someday)

YouTube - 10 Molossus Batman Begins Soundtrack

return maybe at least the producer...

end maybe bring back the joker as one prisoner who escaped thanks to Bane in the 3rd movie and one more villain to figh against robin and bring back batman to help him

ther are many joker look alikes imo since he is wearing a face paint and about his voice...well ummmm....

Even though Blake's real name was Robin, to me, the film was setup for a new Batman to take over. The new signal. The theme of Bruce/Batman saying anybody could be Batman. The handing over of the cave.

Everyone I talk to say he's Robin and I suppose he sort of was but he was also the new Batman. Not that there ever will be a continuation to the story but that's how I took it all anyway.

i know this theory suits more Nolan's story but...Batman is dead, i mean the symbol, in other hand a Robin...well ummm would look ridicilous in Nolan's saga, i mean i cant imagine tbh if i think twice

first
Nolan said that this is the end for him with Batman ..

2nd
even if Nolan changes somethings from the comics to the movies, but he always keep the genuinity .. so, Robin's nam is Dyck Grayson .. and there's no Dyck Grayson in Blake's name ..

3rd
about the joker, what Heath Ledger did, made it impossible to anyone to bring back the joker, not because there's no other great actor, but out of respect to him ..

4th
Nolan's endings are often polemic, they make us wonder and discuss ..
so, I think, TDKR ending was the best ending the whole trilogy could get ..

Total recall 2012-remake:

The thing with remakes is that there needs to be a justification like a new interesting angle, a new insight or or or...

In this remake unfortunately there is no new interesting thought or angle or insight, so the remake is pretty superfluos.

The changes made to the story to make it at least a little bit different from the original are mostly changes for the worse.

The original version with Arnold Schwarzenegger is imho miles better. Remake: 5/10. Original: 9/10.

I know it's the end of Nolan's Batman but the symbol is not dead at all (if that's what you are saying?) IMO. A new one was left for Gordon to use afterall.

The 3 breasted woman was more attractive in the newer Total Recall though.

True, but on the other hand, she was way too beautiful to be an ordinary street-level-prostitute. And what is the explanation for the three breasts in this version? Cosmetical/genetical surgery to increase interest? Again, a bit too much investment for a street-level-prostitute.:))

I disagree! There were some very interesting angle shots of Beckinsale and Biel's asses!! ;)

Beckingsale was not that bad as an actor in this movie, but Biel seemed very bored and lame or maybe she just can't act more convincingly.
Regardless both can't compete with Sharon Stone.:))

Saw "Batman- The dark knight rises" recently:

It's a well-produced movie with some memorable action-scenes but...
The story is set up 8 years after the events in the last movie. Apparantely Batman remained non-active in those 8 years, and we see Bruce Wayne somehow handicapped and weak.

The explanation was that the death of his potential girlfriend demoralised him and so he retired.

Ok, why not?

But then a new enemy comes up, Bane, a member of the league of shadows and as we later get to know, supposedly the son of ra's al ghoul, coming to Gotham to complete his father's mission to destroy the corrupt city.

Unfortunately this is one of the most uninteresting characters I've yet seen in the whole Batman-movie-series, including the really bad Schumacher-parts.

Near the end it gets revealed that he is merely a sidekick of Talia, Raas al Ghoul's daughter. Now she would have been an interesting character but the reveal came way too late, it should have happened in the middle of the movie so that she gets some time to flesh out her character, plans, motivations...

So what was the plan? Wayne industries succesfully developed a fusion reactor, but Bruce Wayne decided not to go public with it because he fears it could be turned into a weapon?

Why? Haven't the US and other states already invented and developed nukes and fusion-bombs in Nolan's Batman-universe?

But people seemed to know what a nuclear bomb is when they discussed how to protect themselves so apparently nukes must already be publically known..

Ok, whatever, now Bane somehow found out about this secret invention and kidnapped the physicist working on that project and wants to use the core of it in order to destroy Gotham City.

But in order to get to it, Bruce Wayne has to give up control of Wayne Industries so that Talia Ghoul, who somehow because of her engagement for clean energy gets sidepromoted into the highest ranks of Wayne Industries, takes over.

They decide to use Catwoman (I suppose that should be her) to steal Wayne's fingerprints and with them they could bankrupt Wayne by buying highly speculative assets.

With Wayne losing all his money, he wants to prevent this nuclear fusion technology to fall into the wrong hands and like already said sidepromotes Talia to get control of it, cause he deems her to be trustworthy.

Bane enters the city, gets the reactor and takes the city as hostage. But instead of simply nuking the city, he wants to play a sort of people’s revolution against the mighty and rich, according to him in order to give the masses some hope before they all die.

Cue in a young police officer who got promoted to be a detective who visits Bruce Wayne and tells him that he knows he is Batman (because he saw him as Bruce Wayne visit the orphanage he was in and saw into his eyes and simply knew it!) and that Gotham needs Batman again.

Batman gets into action, Bane defeats Batman but he lets him alive and imprisons him in The Pit, also in order to let him have some vain hope of achieving to escape the pit. Because according to Bane this amounts to torture of the soul and is worse than death.

Of course Bruce Wayne achieves to escape and the big end-action can begin. Catwoman feeling guilty for having betrayed Bruce Wayne/Batman, helps him… Batman defeats Bane, but wait, what’s that? A knife in the back of Batman: Talia reveals her true identity and stabs Batman in the back, but then leaves him alive. With her words: So that he can feel the fire (of the nuclear explosion).

But look, Batman achieves to get hold of the reactor’s core and uses his awesome aviation-machine to carry it out into the sea saving the city by supposedly sacrificing his life.

Everyone thinks Batman is dead and the city sees in him now the true hero that he is. But Bruce Wayne surprisingly lives on, thanks to a last-minute-auto-pilot-patch he developed and inserted into his flying-machine, and the young police officer who simply knew that Bruce Wayne is Batman, and who has the name of Robin, decides to become the new Batman.

Unfortunately the whole story is extremely lame and fishy. What makes the movie still watchable are the high production-standards, the visuals, the soundtrack and some little humour surrounding Catwoman and seeing her driving Batman’s motorcycle.

But compared with Batman Begins and Dark Knight, this third part is imho very unsatisfactory.

Batman Begins gets a 8.0/10.
Batman Dark Knight gets a 8.5/10.
Batman Dark Knight Rises gets a 6.5/10.

Batman Returns is imho still the best, which gets a 9/10.
