The Master League adventures thread

I started to play again my Spezia Master League save on Pes 21.

I ended my 8th season, that I previously left halfway, without, again, major trophies, losing the Coppa Italia final against Juve in a beyond cursed game, losing the semis in the Champions League against Atletico Madrid, and arriving just 3 points under the league winners Inter.

Since I'm doing some self limits (no regens, no youth players) and I've also set negotiations on fairly hard, I'm costantly facing market difficulties, and this summer was no different. Due to financial problems I had to let go Doku, who I couldn't use the buyout clause on, forward Joao Pedro, who I had to sell to finance the market, left fullback Yildiz and many second lines, even historical ones, who wanted a contract renew I couldn't afford (had to painfully part with Pedro Amador, Chakvetadze, Salvador Ferrer, Zoet). In entrance, I've used the buyout clause on Martinelli and Gvardiol, bought Jakel as a cb and Ramon as a lfb, right wing Mollejo in loan with the buyout clause and decided to give the keys of the offensive department to my already long time residents Wind and Kaufmann, who I guiltily neglected last season in favour of Joao Pedro. (also had to make an exception on my no regens rule for the second keeper and took a random one from the youth team in Montipo, cause I simply forgot to buy one in the last signings day šŸ„¹)

Must say this humble transfer market really paid out in this first half of the season! I've arrived in january up by two points in an exciting head to head against Juventus:

Screenshot 2024-12-04 19-46-12.png

I've also comfortably won my CL group with all wins and a draw (although it was pretty easy, having to face Olympiacos, Rubin Kazan and none others than Pes United) and, of course, went through the first turn of Coppa Italia against Reggina. That's my team at the moment:

Screenshot 2024-12-04 19-45-52.png

I'm rotating more all of the players (even cause I'm forced to šŸ˜… ) and it's all clicking in a very satisfying, and unprecedented way. Will have to buy at least a right fullback now cause I have only poor Calegari in the role and I'm squeezing the life out of him and maybe another second line in the forward department.

Anyway, having an incredibly fun time as of now! The power of a truly heartfelt Master League it's perhaps the most wonderful out of any gaming adventure (or at least it's to me). Excited to see how it will play out.

Has anyone ever been close to being relegated or relegated in ML?

I am playing PES 6 right now. I am playing in Serie A with Napoli. I was promoted the first year. I am in 10th with 7 games to play. I think that I am 8 points off 15th. It is embarrassing. I'm doing a Premier League, LaLiga, and Bundesliga also and I am in the top four. I have never done this bad.

No, never. I've even chosen bad teams and never done this badly, I usually then get good, it just takes much longer, but I like the challenge. Cue O&A Car crash sound for ya ;) I'm listening to Nopie playlist, this very second btw.

I mostly progress well with my teams and win titles but I got relegated in my first season with SPAL on 2017 when it went to the final day

I just avoided relegation with Pescara on 2015 last week by 1 point

Probably the only 2 times since the beginning of PES I have had relegation type seasons and I enjoyed them as much as winning

I don't think I've ever been in danger of being relegated.. But it does sound like a good challenge..
For example, take a lower-ranked team in a tough first division, say the Premier League, and have as their main objective, avoid relegation in the first season.
Perhaps even move the teams around a bit, and put a 2nd division team in 1st division, so that they are considerably weaker than the others, and then put yourself the pressure of: avoiding relegation first year or game over. Sounds pretty fun! :)

Haha you know the picture. I just finished listening to 2004 to 2014 in order during work a couple months ago. Took me 5 years. Now I am starting at 1998 and going all the way to 2014.

I finished 9th with 37 points. Sampdoria was 15th with 26. I beat Sampdoria in week 26. My last 7 games were LDWLWWL. The other two wins were against Inter and AC Milan who came in 1st and 2nd. I can beat them but I lost to Parma who came in 16th. In PES 6 if you can get 27 points you will be safe. I only allow myself 3 or 4 signings per season to make it more difficult. I think that I will be fine now. Just the first season in Division 1 would be difficult.

Yeah, I've been relegated on PES before.

PES19, I think, I started as Paris FC. Took 2 seasons to get promoted. Then I spent the whole of the 1st season in the top tier near the bottom and ended up getting relegated and sacked.

I nearly got relegated as Villa on PES20. On the last day, I had to beat Liverpool and hope Palace didn't win. Obviously you can't see in-play scores which is a pain. I somehow managed to beat Liverpool, who were like 2nd, 3-1 - Wesley scored twice - and when the other scores popped up, Palace had drawn so I stayed up by a point.

request. At the end of the year, is the ranking accurate enough? I'm playing a master league, after 6 days Palace has full points, Chelsea, United, Arsenal and City are mid-table and have no continuity of results.
At the end of the year will I find Palace, Sheffield United and Wolves competing for the title?
I play to Pes21

Its always pretty realistic to me .. bigger clubs at the top and the usual clubs fighting against relegation. Then again if you said forest were 2nd in the table in January I'd be saying how ridiculous šŸ™„

Mainly Fifa for me right now, but ive always been a pes player and miss it.
so started a ML on FL 25, but it doesnt sit right, too unresponsive for me, then picked up my PES 21 ML with Salernitana, i have few mods on that game to increase responsiveness, and it played pretty good, still the old cpu scores when they want so not sure on it.
Finally went back to my Roma save on PES 20 Xbox, im on my second season there and it felt really good.
So ML for me will be on PES 20, perhaps continue or a restart.
My 20 feels miles more responsive than 21 and thats why i rather play it vs a fully patched 21
Will update,

Decided to to a restart on Pes 20 with a surprisingly badly built AC Milan.
A pretty good starting lineup, low TS so far and a weak bench, but I'm looking fw to the challenge of building this team back to European glory again.
Not taking any short cuts (using the free agent pool with highly rated players)
But smart signings and hopefully developing players, and no unrealistic signings either.

Line up

And my only signing this first window, Nicola Zaniolo for 51 m euros from AS Roma
IMG_20250113_145117.png

First game and a win Vs Udinese, and my next game is Frosinone away, no European games this season for me, and goal is top 6

And a solid win away too, Big Zlatko with 2 and new boy Nicola scoring his first

Bologna at home was no match really on game day 3.

Then a trickier game for my fourth game of the season, Pescara away, they scored 1-0 quite early on and was really hard to break down, but super investment Nicola Zaniolo scored twice and we came out on top.

This makes it 4/4 so far, really not the toughest schedule, but we all know that the smaller trams are always the tricky one's

I have Sassuolo away next up, so glad I only have the league+cup this season since the squad is kinda small
Avanti!

Dont know if i made this mistake before, but at the start of tyhe season i checked my team in the squad list and tactics menu, but i didnt go into negotiation/my team screen, thats were your players out on loan is visible, they arent on the other two screens.
so i have 4 really good players out on loan i had no clue on
You live and learn

I did a ML as AC on PES20. Loved it.

Boadu was my star player, scored like 250 goals in 300 games.

I'm struggling to settle on a game at present šŸ˜•

yes sir, ive been all over the place as well.
Got my Fifa 19 for different kind of a career, but ive always loved PES more.
My best modern ML was on PES 17 and Milan , 10 seasons maybe, still have that save.
what games are you choosing from?

Well, I've been playing the following, just doing friendlies...

FIFA 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 & 19 - FIFA 16 I have a 10 season Oviedo save going but I got a bit bored of it. Out of the others I enjoy them all but 18 & 19 are tempting me.

PES 17, 18 & 19 - 17 IMO, is still probably the best footy game ever made but the ML is a bit crap. You see silly transfers - like some 60 rated RB from Cardiff joining Santos or someone.

I have been playing PES more than FIFA at the moment. I think it will be between 18 & 19 to start a ML and settle on.

I even tried EAFC25 but it's so bad. When you play that then load up an older game, it's even more damning of what a shower of shyte the new games are.

I'm tempted to update the Prem on PES 19 & start as Villa. I've gone through that game and added players here and there - Haaland into Salzburg etc...

Part of me is tempted to try and update most of it but it's a mammoth task that would take about 6 months.

God yes, ive edited my fair share of PES games as well, enjoying it unless its a huge edit, mainly my team and the other teams playing in my league,
Pes 17 is still a killer game, i kinda overlook the crappy transfers, as long as i keep my team correct and by my house rules.
Just go for the big transfers, like Haaland etc, the rest of the transfers and moves will be all over the place after a few seasons anyway

Havent bought a fifa game since 20, its all down the toilet from FIFA 19 and fw.
Found Fifa 19 to be pretty good again, but always preferred Pes , so kinda nice being back at it

Every game is getting harder and harder to win.
Sassuolo didn't create much up front besides their goal but proved a tough nut to crack
Big Z with 2 goals
d64eb87d-892b-4b3b-8aad-cc5b37d733c1.png
Then on to my first real test of the season.
Torino away, always a tight and hard to break down team, and this was no exception!
Wasn't until the mid 2nd half that I could create a proper chance in front of goal and score.

Sitting pretty good at the top right now, and next up is a double header vs Frosinone in the Coppa Italia
72282c50-ccb8-4b8c-911f-1c66c69ae6b3.png

Two games played, both were tough and a bit of uphill
First game Roma at home, both teams creating very little , few chances on goal and ended in a draw, my first dropped points.
3669ad1a-d328-4af7-abcf-075a526bc3a2.png

Second game was at Verona
So sluggish and hard to create much, and Hellas had most of the possession, but with a bit of luck I sneaked in 2 goals from pretty much nowhere.
A really good win
71b26940-d401-4989-892d-974d8fd7118d.png

I'm 3 points clear of Juventus at the top of the table, but my next game is vs Inter and we all know a derby is a tough nut to crack

Derby days vs Inter.
8 yellow cards and very fierce, tackling all over the pitch and really nasty.
Not much in form of goal scoring chances but Rafael Leao with a scrappy goal on a low cross

A nice win Vs our toughest rivals and bragging rights in Milan is red!

Next game Vs a very defensive Cagliari, and a team that doesn't create that much in form attacking, but also tough to beat.
We walked away with a solid 3-0 win
42a9d131-400e-4c68-9a52-8af40489442c.png

Still 3 points clear of Juventus in the league after 10 games

My team is very unbalanced, and since I've only really made one major signing this season it's starting to show, but I will not make any more transfers this upcoming window, but have a proper overhaul next season, this season isn't for trophies but for rebuilding.
My squad (4-2-1-3)

Goalkeepers: good and solid with 3 good goalkeepers.

Defence:also very solid, maybe one more CB since Kjaer is a loan olayer.

Midfield, only weak spot is the AMF who plays between the opposition's mf/Def.
Need strengthen that with one more

Forwards: good but thin, need a RWF/LWF to broaden the squad a bit.

11th game in the Serie Af saw us playing a very competent and possesion based Salernitana.
Took me till the 62nd min before I could score, and that was probably because of a subs and minor changes to the lineup.
Walked away with a comfortable (in the end) win at home
7a349b2a-3134-46a4-903c-9a02804a9380.png
Solid start to my season, only 3 goals conceded so far, and with Juventus losing the gap down is now 6 points
e2a1871e-7cac-46bd-8fdb-41c364c3d4fa.png

Next 3 games will be tough though.
Lazio away
Napoli at home
Juventus away.

PROLOUGE: ISUREAPER31's Next Master League Series

Some of you may know me from my previous series on this thread from PES 17 thru PES 20 Master Leagues. And after a bit of a hiatus, I'm looking to get back into starting up a new Master League with the usual twist like Ted Lasso working his way up the Premier League with QPR, Norwich City, and Liverpool as some examples. But after a bit of time away I'm getting the itch to play some Master League after 3 years of staying away from PES.

So one of things I wanted to bring back for my series is the Monopoly board I used in my previous ML series to help shape the directions of the club by the roll of the dice. The board has been overhauled with may improvements that can lead to better luck or evening getting fired from the club. The basic rule is before every match, a dice will be rolled and will have to do a specific tasks prior to the match where ever we space land on. These spaces can either help improving the team or tear it apart. See below picture for gameboard.

1737497530906.png

I will be using UML 2025 v3 patch along with VRED v9.1 patch for this particular ML as I feel it brings a lot of content along with other content found here on EVO-Web that will help the good old PES scripting issues.

Now lets talk about the league I will be starting in this ML: Major League Soccer

UML brings us 29 clubs from MLS in their patch (no San Diego as of yet). Due to limitation of the ML, we can only include 20 clubs from the MLS in a league competition. So I used the latest CONCACAF club rankings and grab the top 20 MLS clubs for this first season. Also we will have to have a split season called the Spring & Fall Championships (similar to other South America championships) for MLS in order for this to work in the ML. The clubs listed below for the initial season of ML will be as follows:

1Columbus Crew
2Los Angles
3Inter Miami
4LA Galaxy
5Seattle Sounders
6Orlando City
7FC Cincinnati
8NY Red Bulls
9Real Salt Lake
10New York City
11Philadelphia Union
12Houston Dynamo
13Portland Timbers
14Minnesota United
15Atlanta United
16Charlotte
17Vancouver Whitecaps
18Colorado Rapids
19Montreal
20NE Revolution

The remaining MLS clubs will still be in the ML and after the end of each season we will see about if we can relegate some clubs manually and bring in new clubs each season (though still testing the possibilities of this one).

And the club I will be starting this ML in will be the Houston Dynamo

I'm looking forward to sharing more details about the club soon in this forum. I will be planning to stream this series on my twitch channel (www.twitch.tv/isureaper31) and posting later to YouTube. Stay tunned for more.
