The Master League adventures thread

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I guess it all boils down to personal opinion at the end of the day.

I think i'll start a league before attempting a ML, just to see if some sort of continuity can perhaps get me more interested or involved. I find the gameplay particularly 'messy' and uninspiring right now, but i'm willing to give it 3 to 4 weeks.

SB, are you saying the PS2 version is worse, with regards to gameplay?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

The gameplay of the PS2 version is still good. It's like playing JLWE2007CC, but more faster and easier dribbling.

But i'm just comparing it to the PS3 version. Some of the issues like scripting and the COM players pressuring you like crazy isn't apparent in the PS3 version.

The gameplay to the PS2 version is still playable though.

I'm about to start a ML on the PS2 version, since doing a ML on the PS3 version will be very unrealistic for me (since you can't put the League C teams into the game).

Are you getting the PS2 version of the game by the way?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I was thinking about it SB. I take it the pace of the game however, is identical on both formats?

Oh and are badges changeable/editable on PS2?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

The pace of the PS2 version is the same as PES6. But the PS3 version is much slower.

BTW did you per-order the game from shopto.net?

I still ain't got my copy yet from them lol!

All,

I have also added a tactics section which you are welcome contribute to (ideally for the less well known teams).

thanking you

db

ps - with stam retiring anyone have aclue who the new capt will be??!

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Well, db and others...i've found out tht you don't have to listen to most of the negative comments on Evo-Web.
There are some very disappointing aspects tot the game (look at Stringer's post, i agree with him although i haven't tried the ML yet), but i really like the gameplay...
Prof, you should play a league, then you will experience the Teamvision. When i playd exhibition matches and the international cup i had the impression that the game was too easy...(although i did not succeed in winning with Sweden, but i thought my defeat against Brzil was a freak defeat, because i was the better team..).

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Db, set pieces for Club Brugge:

corners: Leko
Long Free kicks: Leko
Penalties: Leko
Short free kicks: Sonck

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

The strange thing is that after fiddling a litle bit with my PS3, it has totally disappeared except in the replays (which is unacceptable).

What did you do to your PS3 to make it disappear then, gerd?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

DB, new Ajax captain should be Huntelaar (he also wore the armband yesterday)

Although it might be possible that it will be Davids when he returns from his injury.

Gerd once again thank you.

A virtual Kwak coming your way sir

cheers BB,

i see Gregory van der Wiel played yesterday - is he likely to retain the CB spot till the jan transfer window?

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I think it will more likely be Vermaelen with Heitinga when Thomas is fit again, but if Gregory keeps impressing it is possible he could keep his place offcourse.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Mmm, that Kwak looks tasty.

db, have you passed any judgement on the game yet? What are your thoughts?

Unfortunatly mate, I havent played it at all.

To cut a long story short in order to get a PS3 my wife said i must find a good home for my PS2. I did, her 9 year old nephew in Madeira.. the perfect Christmas present.

All fine and dandy, but it was going to be too costly to ship over so we got some friends to take it in October. So essentially i am now without a console and as yet don't have the readies to purchase the new one.....

or to put it another way my life is currently devoid of the one thing that made it bearable. :(

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Well the only thing i did was to change a couple of setting related to the cable between my PS3 and my television...
But i'm not sure that is the reason...I've read from other PS3 owmers that after a while, it suddenly gets better...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

by the by, has anyone noticed Mancini's (AS Roma) hairstyle? For some reason he was given a huge ponytail :mryellow: I changed it to Short/straight/37 and looked about right.
I noticed when i played a game with Roma the other day. He was insanely good actually, coming in from the side to score. He got a hat-trick (3-0)
It's weird that face templates have gone. You can't just change Schwarz to Kahn and find his real face. You actual have to create it! Sod that, i thought.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Konami have the knack to annoy their fans Prof...
I've bee, browsing in the Ml settings and i saw that you have to choose eithers with or without both classic AND extra unlockabele players...that's a shame...there were always some interesting players in that section...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Well, i played some more PES2008 last night, a league with Parma. The game didn't get any better. I can't stand the pinging ball off players. There is some strange physics going on, both with the ball and players.

To cut a long story short, i've decided to go back to PES6 on PS2. I booted it up and felt much more satisfied. I've got a new OF with some cool teams, which i'm now tweaking and that will be the basis of my new ML :)

Proff, youve got the XBox 360 version havent you ?

Yus.

I would be tempted to try the PS2 version, but i'd be annoyed if i encountered the same problems.

edit: i'll probably pick it up this Saturday. I have a feelin git'll play more like the PS2 version of PES6 rather than the 360 version of PES2008.

Strange, and IMHO the PS3 version is the most realistic i've ever played...is it the difference between both versions or is it me????

I've been continuing my Seria A with Atalanta. Lost 3-0 agaainst Milan in a match were i had most of the possession but Ronaldo scored Milan only 3chances....Afterwards i've beaten Inter 3-0. And the 1-1 in Genoa against Sampdoria...
Atalanta are currently 7th. Inter leads before Milan, Roma, Palermo, Juve, Fiorentina, Napoli and Atlanta...seems pretty realistic to me...

Oh and DB i've read that post about your wife and PS3...after almost 10 years of marriage, my wife buys games for me...that's what marriage does..so be patient, she'll change (but my wife introduced me to gaming...she has a DS and is constantly playing Mario and games like that).

Hi mate,

well you'll be pleased to know that due to my moping and generally "childlike" attitude I have been permitted to buy the 60gb ps3 for my birthday. :D

I was going to get it directly from shopto for £300 or blockbusters (if theystill have the Fifa08 bundle)
