The Master League adventures thread

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Yes Dynamo Zagreb (hesitated with Hajduk Split too).
Well i have been playing 4 or 5 matches...

Negative:
stuttering image (i'll search what to do to diminish this)
the replays (dreadfull)

Positive:
the gameplay, it's certainly better than PES6. It reminds me a litle bit of PES5 which i definitely liked...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Hi chaps,

I will post this here now and also on a the 2008 ML thread once it's been made :)

There are a few gaps in some of the Other teams formations which if anyone could assist with we'd be most welcome. Again any suggestions or alterations or mistakes (shudder at the very thought!) that you spot please let me know and I will happily credit you.

SB, Proff, Gerd etc... I will update your ML pages in the next week or so, don't know if youve chosen your next club or not yet, but just let me know. ta.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

thx for the site DB, I might help a little with Russian or any other teams, just PM me if you need help or you'd like to have any more Russian teams (like Zenit) for your site. :)

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

i must admit proff, although i had vvv venlo all lined up - i wonder now if this will work with the new 20 teams 2nd div

its almost like an atlantic league really isnt it

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Well, i reckon you can still play with them mate, it's just a bit more of a continental mix up, isn't it. Whomever you pick, it'll be the same really.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

yes true. maybe all the dutch chaps in with all the flotsam and jetsam with spain, eng, fra, germany & italy in the other 3 leagues

seems the only opyion really

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

I will mix leagues up...

English + Scottish
Spain & Portugal
France and Italy
Other leagues...

I was thinking about palying with Valenciennes, but since i've been playing with Le Havre in FIFA i want another league...Valenciennes is still to come later on???

First i'm gonna play a league with my beloved Atalanta i think...

I already have a pet player in PES: Sweden SMF Ishizaki...i love him (am playing a World Cup with Sweden).

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Just checked Wikipedia his father is indeed Japanese. :) So many foreigners in Swedish NT.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Thanks for that picture db...i could understand why he would prefer HER...

It's fairly logic that Sweden has many "foreigners" in their national side. They have a very liberal reputation, so for example lots of bosnian refugees went to Sweden during civil war in former Yougoslavia...see also Majstorovic and Ibrahimovic (who isn't in the national team in PES2008!!!).

Hi gerd i get does little stuttering during the gameplay (which isn't that bad, but i'll like it to be gone though). The stutteing during the replays are really evident.

About the replays gerd. If you don't like the new replay style, press :triangle: to change it to the original replay angles you get on PES6. Hope that helps. :)

Hey Re-arranged,

What do you think about the two Russian teams in the game?

I had a match with Spartak vs L. Moscow, got beat 2-0, two of the goals by the Malian forward D. Troae (sp?).

The second goals he scored was quite realistic. He opened his body up and used his outside of his boots to tap the ball in.

In previous PES games the player will toe poke the ball in like a 10 year old school kid! :D

Nice work denirobob. ;)

I was going with Napoli, but since you can't put the other league c team in the ML (I hope i'm wrong), i'm thinking about going with nerf old club De Graafschap. :)

There one of the shittiest teams in the game. Unless i can dig-in-the-crates and find another better shit team. hahahah!

Don't like how KONAMI made Russian teams in game to be honest. Stats are awful, no Russian player has real face while Ukrainians have like 5 or 6.

The player you are talking about is Draman Traore, he barely plays since Odemwingie came to the club, but he's a very tall guy with good technique, not lethal in the air thou(two very strange things about him).

Yep, when i was looking through the Russia squad i noticed there were no real faces. The same as last year. I looked through the Seville squad expecting Kerzhakov to have a real face since his becoming a high profile player, playing for one of the achieving teams in Spain.

I think Titov might be the only Russian with a real face, if i'm right?

Anyways what's so bad about the Ukrainians having real faces? Is it some kinda Eastern European rivalry going on!?!?! :)

No, noy really, but the fact that Ukrainians have got 5-6 real faces and Russia gets none is nonsence. Titov ain't got real face either by the way.

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Allright, i have played some 30 hours of PES2008 and i think it's time to give my (very humble) opinion on it.
To sum it up in one sentence: don't believe the negative hype.
When first playing it, i was gutted...there was the slowdown and the stuttering that made the game a real eye sore...
The strange thing is that after fiddling a litle bit with my PS3, it has totally disappeared except in the replays (which is unacceptable).
i've been playing lots of exhibitions matches. A world Cup with Sweden (4th) and now i'm playing a Serie A league with Atalanta.
It's in this league that i found out about Teamvision. I won my first three matches (on professional level) but then i lost 4-0 against Genoa. From then on the game proved to be very, very difficult...I had to tinker constantly with the tactics and the team formation, i felt Ranieri or Benitez. In the matches i really had to search other attacking patterns...because the IA really knew how i played...this is a great feature, but it makes the game very difficult.
Dribbling is easy, maybe too easy...but on the other hand, the shooting is difficult. First of all it is difficult to creat space to have a decent shot on goal and secondly the shooting ismuch more difficult than in PES6..
Defending is much more difficult now too, i've really had too learn defending all over again...i now use the jockeying lots of times (R2) too close players down. To me the worst aspect of the game are the referees...in my Atalanta league i've played 10 matches and i've had lots of yellow cards and already 4 sending offs...which is a lot for me.
All in all i think it's Konami's best game until now and this despite some very obvious flaws, but the gameplay is fantastic.
i haven't played Ml so far, but i think it will take ages before i will be promoted and have a chance to win some silverware...

Re: The PES6 Master League Thread

Hi gerd,

Thanks for airing out your opinion ion the game. I've just returned my copy of PES2008 on the PS3 and magically got the PS2 version. After playing the PS2 for a while, I can really appreciate the gameplay efforts on the PS3 version.

In the PS3 version you have some room to breath and not constantly being pressurised by opposition players. Also there is no sign of this scripting thing that goes on in the PS2 version. If people actualy compare the PS2 version to the PS3 version of PES2008, you can actually see some improvements in the gameplay.

BUT i think the main negativity about PES2008 is the lack of depth to the Edit Mode and more importantly the Master League. I think it's the of field stuff Konami needs to improve for the next version of the game.

My opinion.

Peace.
