Ouch.

Right chaps, need to ask, I have just been told that an official Statement by Sony said that some bigger PSP Games ie: GTA, GT4 and of course PES5 could and its likely they will, be region locked. Sounds rubbish to me but need to know if anyone else has heard similar?

Yup, lost it. 2000 Hong Kong Dollars.

Plus a 500 dollar 512mb memory stick.

Plus that Tony Hawk Underground game UMD.

I am so pissed off.

Get the new firmware, if you have the PSP1001 get the American one, if you have PSP1000 get the japanese one. It lets you use internet browser and change wallpaper. Lots of new stuff too such as BMP, TIFF integration and new video functions.

But no homebrew which means no emulators and all those applications that we're not supposed to talk about.

i bought my 512 for 15 quid including p and p so get 2 of them for 30 quid and u got a 1 gig in a away

i'm thinking of getting a psp chaps but wanted to know what was the best one to get i.e

version 1.5 or version 2.0 (i think 1.5 is a little cheaper)

shall i get a PAL or a Japanese PSP?

i would appreciate the advice

A PSP with 1.5 firmware I would imagine would be more expensive. The PSP is released in the UK on Thursday anyway mate

All games are region free so will play on any version of the PSP
