Sony PlayStation 4

Still love how much faster the experience is here. Put my ps3 on yesterday and it started an auto update via ps+. I tried to cancel it with O like it said only to find it must have been installing something huge as it just hung on the please wait background for 15-20 mins. And then found a download list full of further updates still needing a download and install :(

Later I put the ps4 on and started playing don't starve. In the background it updates battlefield and assassins creed simultaneously and is uploading my saves to the cloud.

Just so nice not to have to run through custard to do the simple things anymore :)

I also thought that. Accessing the online store is lightning fast on PS4 compared to PS3, and being able to pause the game and return to the main home screen is awesome.

PS4 did alright then. Thought the Xbox would have won the online category.

A few years ago it probably would have, but I think Sony have caught up. Sure, we have to pay to play online on PS4 but the fact that it now incorporates PS Plus means it's incredibly good value, especially if you have a PS3, PS4 and a Vita.

Controller charger arrived from Hong Kong, think it looks great! Happy with that for £10 :)

Ha! What a load of nonsense though - no qualifying to say you must have used/own both systems!?

I'm not saying xbox is better (which is exactly my point, I've not seen the PS4 at all, so cant say).

Everything that is wrong with the XBO happened last night;

* Rubbish party system for FIFA
* FIFA locking up/crashing back to 'desktop'
* Controller dying mid match with no warning and no way to pause etc (unforgiveable)

For all its faults, I still love the XBO - BUT, I will also be getting a PS4 one day and I'm excited about that!

That's nowhere near everything that's wrong with the new Xbox.

I'm trying to get excited for that game, it looks really nice but I played the first one on PS3 and didn't like it at all.

Tempted to get the PS4 tomorrow. Just want to know will it be worth it even though the game selection isn't "big" if you get me? I want one before UFC comes out anyways.

The light bar doesn't bother me but I don't see the point in it. If Killzone it goes from green to red depending on your health but you can tell on-screen if you've been hit anyways. Who's going to look at the rear of their controller when playing a game anyways?

I think it'll be worth it, the game selection isn't big but eventually it'll have as many games as PS3 does. I bought mine on launch and have thoroughly enjoyed it, I've played FIFA, Killzone, Battlefield, Trine in 3D (which is magnificent, by the way), Resogun, Don't Starve, and Contrast (the last three being free on PS Plus). I couldn't be happier with it so far.

I'm thinking about getting a second hand copy of AC4 as it does look pretty great, and can't wait for Drive Club on PS Plus in March I think. Then there's Infamous, which I hope will get my interest a lot more than the PS3 ones. This latest version looks stunning though.
