Good job on the SSHD replacement
I was wondering about the need for SATA 22 pin gender changer ?
I was thinking about upgrading HDD
 
I don't know if the option to play a game for free for a limited time has ever been around before, but for me that is quite a big deal. I hope this is a regular thing.

Got my ps4 with fifa yesterday but can't play till Xmas eve.

Looking forward to it.

Can anyone point me to a quick tricks and tips guide that will show me all the cool features I'll be able to do?

You don't necessarily need the gender changer, you can get by simply with the female to male SATA cable:

The problem I found was that pushing that cable directly into the PS4 it was very loose, so with having both the gender changer and the female-male sata cable I was able to secure the cable into the gender changer with a little electricians tape and then the gender changer because it also goes into the sata power slot of the PS4 it holds a little better, then I secure the cable with a small plastic zip tie to the metal frame which adds that final layer of security :) In theory you could secure the cable the same way directly into the PS4 without a gender changer.

I had ordered both a male-female SATA cable and a gender changer at the exact same time one from Ireland and one from Sweden as I wasn't sure which would arrive first!

One thing to be aware of, changing to an external 3.5" hard drive powered externally means that your PS4 can't be set to stand by anymore (apparently this is an issue with some internal replacement drives as well), personally I wasn't too fussed about this as I didn't want to leave it constantly in stand by anyway and I have other means of charging the controllers :)

@Placebo thanks man.I guess the standby doesn't work with 3.5 coz of external power supply.

@lami 3.5 is better for value/GB cheaper.I can get Hybrid HD thin 1tb for the same price of 3.5 2tb Hybrid .

Has anyone here played the new Call of Duty specifically on the PS4, the user reviews on metacritic are pretty bad (2.9 / 10), on amazon it's a bit better (3/5) but has anyone here played it?

On btw Gamestop are telling customer over the phone they don`t have ,but in person they`ll tell you they have it...due to theft. Stores are being ran sacked . always ask for the manager they could get you one.shipments are daily arriving small orders of PS4.
