Nintendo missed out on Media Molecule

A new game from Ubisoft, you try and figure it out.

Ubisoft has launched a mysterious new website at rev64.com, which appears to be a teaser for a new Tom Clancy game. The page features the bruised and bloodied face of a middle-aged man who grimaces while ominous voices read off a death toll. A text readout scrolls over the picture which appears to be collecting data on the gentleman. The Tom Clancy logo is unmistakable at the bottom of the screen.

I got my email too. I registered online without the console long before release to make sure I got my RuneEdge ID.

So Blu Ray movies are region coded but the games arent? So say you have a Euro PS3, it'll only play euro region dvd's too?

Also, now Play have dropped the PS3 pricepoint, they also have a few games in their Easter sale, Motorstorm, Resistance, Ridge Racer and a couple of others are now only 30 quid!!!!

Headlines on each site such as "Death Toll Continues," "Southeast Decimated," and "Water Facility Attacked" depict chaos both in the US and abroad. The three sites also have banner ads featuring the bed-ridden man's face and audio clips from the rev64 Web site.

I had this Rev64 site running in the back ground yesterday, they talked about fighting in NY and the five boroughs, with two tunnels collapsed, it also mentioned about the canadian border, could be really interesting. Anyone ever play Freedom Fighters? Defo a new franchise is big news.

Important, isn't with the ID, you need to registrer your PS3 with the code on the back of the console !!

wait, so youve gotta register you PS3 before you get Casino Royale, and you cant get it just by registering yourself via the PS3

besides the fact its probably long past 500,000

Thats not true. I registered my ID long before launch and I got my email. But I only just registered my console today.

Yep you have to reset the console.

Moving your PLAYSTATION 3 to another television

PLAYSTATION 3 remembers the display settings you give it. If you are moving your PS3 between an SD and an HD TV, you may find you have a blank screen. Simply reset your PLAYSTATION 3 to restore the default SD setting in the following way: turn off the PLAYSTATION 3 system then press and hold the power button for approximately 5 seconds until you hear a beep. You can then use the Settings category in the XMB to configure your Display settings manually.

yep Blue Ray, DVD, PS2 games are all region coded only PS3 games are not, so if you have a PAL PS3 only region 2 dvds will work even if you take out the region coding with a backup copy it still wont play cos it will only play back PAL format and NOT NTSC. I have heard reports that even some PAL games have been region locked to PAL only. can anyone confirm this?

That's great news !! as i thought all Blue Rays had region coding also. I assume the fact that cos PAL machines only play back PAL and the same applies for NTSC PS3's, that will not apply to Blue Ray play back in that all Blue Ray's playback at 720p, 1080i + 1080p and so the PAL/NTSC format don't come into it

Ive managed to create a US and Japanese account and have just downloaded a few games!

From the US store I got Major League Baseball 2K7 and from the Japanese store I got Everbodys Golf 5. Both are great.

Make sure you all sign up for a Japanese account by the end of the month, Ninja Gaiden Sigma demo will be out on there on the 27th April :)
 
TG, they are only Screen Tests for the Getaway mate. Nothing more has been seen of this game since then and I am eagerly anticipating more news on this game..

you don't see the video from GCD ?
it's realtime from the PS3 and without the RSX, only the Cell from the latest tools the PS Edge.

If that is the same technology being used in the game too, then that's a pretty cool insight. They mention that the scene features 768 people and 50 cars. They say it's 720p, with anti-aliasing, with 1.4m polygons/frame (after geometry processing on the SPUs) at 60fps. Only under the Cell, this demo don't use the RSX
