Whats the point of showing the games up there when you can play them? cant wait to see gameplay footages, hopefull some footy games!!

Blue looks nicer, or black. This transparent looks crap.

well after the latest round of vids and images from TGS, one thing is perfectly clear.

NO ONE can doubt the power of the PS3

Agreed....they look like something that can be brought from the backstreets of Malaysia or summat :mrgreen:

A number of those game blog sites were v disappointed by the PS3's showing in TGS. I thought TGS was where Sony were gonna show off their killer apps?! :(

Some people are saying that Sony's failed to impress yet again at this TGS.

As far as Im concerned the HDMI news is the best thing they couldve come up with.

Now all the moaners and fanboys can't say that the $500 package is shit. :)

Man, this is gonna get good.

In my eyes, sony did more than impress, i mean tbh whats the point of showing games on the big screen if most of it is playable anyways?, they talked more on the network aspect of things during the presentation, including thier future vision and all that other stuff. i still believe when people begin to actually play the games demos on the show floor, we'll start getting different feedbacks from individuals ;)

Correct me if I am wrong, but the reduced price (and addition of the HDMI port) to the 20GB version was only confirmed for Japan....wasn't there plans of missing the 20GB altogether for the European market anyway? If that's the case, maybe it'll be unlikely that these changes will apply to the European (and maybe American?) market?

Shareholders should be worried....the fact that Sony have reduced the price of a console prior to even it being released does ring alarm bells. After all, this was a console - like an expensive restaurant - that Sony were confident people will be happy to buy regardless of price right? Some may say that the price reduction indicates that Sony truly don't have a clue of their market - doesn't quite extrude confidence does it? :eh:

Look at the PSP....so much promise with its amazing graphics, but ultimately it was seen as Sony's trojan horse to push the UMD format. Some may say that the console's battery life (a significant factor in handheld gaming) suffered due to the use of the UMD. Now it seems that Sony aren't even bothered in TGS about the PSP.....are we about to see history repeating?

Not sure about Europe (becasue they did release a price for 20GB in Euros) but there is currently no plan for 20GB in UK. We will see in March.

The single log-in for all games is great the browser functions look neat too. WOW.

My Xbox 360 won't be getting much playing/use time next year.

Who here is planning to buy on release date.... how many have already pre-ordered??
I've yet to buy a 360 because there is no good football title yet? Is PES,WE or FIFA down as available at release for the PS3, I wont buy it till they are!!

until the launch was put back, I was on the second shipment which could have been either that least week of November, first week of December. Now I expect to get it in early April as that'll be the second batch I think. I miss getting a launch day slot
