Got the Demo for Modnation Racer on PSP not too impressed with the track editor on the PSP version.

The racing is fun, hopefully the career mode is done right

Silly qestion. After 1 month i managed to find some time to set up my ps3.

I downloade the fifa 10 wc demo, is it normal that it does not run in 1080p?

Or i need to adjust some setting?
 
Buy a Slim, Sony want over a ton I hear for fixing them, so unless you want to challenge them over that, or want to keep the BCness, I'd sell it for scrap and get a Slim. Can I ask, have you just got the latest firmware update on it?

And it's got a mates disc in it, he knows about it and isn't too fussed but I'd still rather get it out, are they easy to gain access to the discs if you take them apart?
 
I have a 60Gb too, but havent turned it on, thinking some of these later firmwares are starting to cause a few problems. You could say to Sony you downloaded the latest firmware there over the weekend and it borked it. I dont know how much they are worth, think unless you know somewhere who will fix them and maybe buy it of you, you will be at the mercy of ebay. Ask nick_cave if he just took his apart or and did he sell it or bin his old one.

It's in bit's in my coffee table draw, because I had to take the disk drive out to remove a rented disk when it died it's classed as two repairs $$$ it was not worth doing, just bought a slim.
Thought I'd leave it until the next next gen's are out and it may become cheaper to repair... :P

No and don't do it, get it fixed with it in, should be anything from £45 to £70 quid, if you remove the disk by taking it apart they have to fix the disk player too Mat...
 
‘Heads-Up’ PlayStation Store Update (5th May 2010)

So, today’s historic occasion has arrived; the first Wednesday store update. I didn’t go overboard with the goodbyes to Thursday updates last week, because it was just so sad, I was on the verge of breaking down. It’s all about looking forwards to the shiny new store update day instead.

To celebrate this ‘kick-ass’ occasion, ahem, we have available the game version of the comic and film hit, Kick-Ass (please note, whilst this initial release is for the English language stores only, all other locales will be getting it released in due course). We also have two other full games available this week in the form of Anarchy: Rush Hour and Feeding Frenzy 2, whilst for PSP users you’ll be able to get to grips with R-Type Tactics.

We also have two massive demos for you this week, for the forthcoming titles UFC Undisputed 2010, and Split/Second: Velocity, and we also have the first expansion for the PSN exclusive title Burn Zombie Burn!, and it’s set in space, what more do you need? :-)

Finally; The Stimulus Pack is here! Not sure if you’ve heard of this? Of course you have, who am I kidding? For those of you who have been itching to get your hands on the new maps for the multiplayer experience of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, now is your chance.

A quickie: Should i turn PS smoothing on? I have an HD 1080p tv. In general what setting should i adjust for HD tvs??

I rented a few games, i have to be honest, i truly thought the visual would look a lot better. Not that i care (i am the gameplay kinda boy), but PS2 game had more visual flavour than most HD overhyped phtorealistic AAA.
 
Little update.

Tried turning it on and it works, so I managed to get the disk out.

I don't have any game saves trully vital to me so I don't mind losing them, gonna go trade it in and get a slim.

What is there to delete?
 
And make sure you deactivate your account under the erm account management part (its above the psn store logo) - that way you keep your 5 system limits.

You can't be serious, you only have to look at the visuals in Uncharted 2 / Final Fantasy XIII to see the HUGE difference.
 
Well it's deciding it's broken again, so I can't access the details to delete them.

Why is it my 360 is the most reliable bit of kit I've ever had as well, just doesn't make sense.
