They cant reduce the price if shareholders say other wise. Thats the problem, shareholders wont agree until the console breaks even and that wont be until March next year. Also the 45mm chip are being developed for cheaper production.

MS funded there own price cut by closing a games studio and only did it becaus the PS3 was beating them in sales prior to it. Sony is a massive company with there hands in loads of different pots, like any company share holders must agree.
 
360 is better for Hardcore gamers IMO, The PS3 is a better Entertainment System giving you more options and also is built a lot better than the 360.
 
So whats the deal with the PS3 ever hitting its potential? Is it really a superior console to the 360 but just hasnt been unlocked yet?

I got an email from Playstation underground today (which is always a email full of broken images and jumbled up text with no 'problems viewing? click here' text.

But anyway, in the email it mentions a Savage Moon demo along with some of the above rumoured store content for today. It might just be a USA PN Store demo though.

It was announced on a xbox site - i think it was xboxfanbooy.com or something that it was coming on the 18th Dec. I've just read that there was an official announcement on the capcom site with the 18th Dec dated as the demo date but then the date mysteriously vanished a few days ago.

And i think it was on eurogamer they said the demo is 'early 09' now
 
Shame about the Resi 5 demo, but I kinda half expected it not to be there, there's loads of sites saying stuff about it being available on PS3/Xbox it's never true!

I'll be nabbing the Sonic demo though. :D
 
MLB 09 The Show lets players record their own chants etc with a headset or mic and then put them into the game in a number of different ways. I'd welcome this feature in FIFA 2010 and NBA 2K10.

Its amazing seeing how authentic Sony's MLB games are compared to their rubbish NBA games.

I hope EA aren't stupid and call the next batch of sports games FIFA 10 etc.
 
I just bought Crash Commando and its great fun. Single player is pretty much just a training mode but multiplayer is where the fun is. (12 player online) You move with the left analog stick and aim with the right analog stick. L1 is your jump button and if you hold it down you can use your jetpack. R1 is shoot and there are about 8 weapons in total I think. I was playing it for over an hour and once you get the hang of it its really enjoyable. Its also got local 2 player, voice chat, leaderboards and trophy support!

Outrun Online Arcade and Noby Noby Boy are day one purchases for me. Its great to see some good PSN titles coming out. Flower and Fat Princess also look fantastic. Im still waiting for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. Oh and there will be a PlayStation Store update on Christmas Eve. Its going to have a Wipeout HD demo and Metal Gear Online demo.

are the trophies mainly online ones and does the game have offline with bots?
 
The genre is a side scroller frantic shooter with hybrid 2D/3D elements. Also when you use turrets the game switches to a first person view which works well. The single player is mainly objectives against bots e.g. kill 5 bots in 1 minute etc. I think there are 16 missions in total in single player. All the trophies are for multiplayer. I have only unlocked 1 so far and I have been playing it for a while now. Either the trophies are fairly hard to get or im just crap. I would like to think its the first thing. :LOL: Oh and also you can get power ups like extra health, body armour and two special weapons.
 
Sounds interesting! Might have to DL it seeing as my disc drive is fucked at the moment, gimme something to play apart from Home.
