PS3's Resistance in Cathedral Scandal

Cathedral row over video war game

The Church of England is considering legal action against entertainment firm Sony for featuring Manchester Cathedral in a violent PlayStation video game.

The Church says Sony did not obtain permission to use the interior in the war game Resistance: Fall of Man.

The game, which has sold more than one million copies, shows a virtual shoot-out in the cathedral's nave in which hundreds of enemies are killed.

Sony said it believed it had sought all necessary permission for the game.

It must be a very slow news day today as this is all over the headlines

what nonsense, it will only increase game sales.

They are morons if they think the game will get pulled.

The servers will be international by end of the month, people will just buy the US version.

The game has been out in US since Nov 06 & Mar 07 over here. one question:

WHY NOW?????

Having a PS3 myself, i would recommend waiting...at the moment there are only two fantastic games for me: NBA2K7 and Motorstorm.

Resistance is too much fun (especially online) to not be counted as a fantastic game. Strangely it looks better whilst playing online as well.

im looking forward to august onwards because those PS3 numbers will change in a big way, and people should also take note of the fact that in the same time period since launch the PS3 is outselling the numbers that the 360 did.

halle says hello.

i dont have shares in sony i just defend them all the time, unless they do something thats undefendable.

and i too hate pokemon

tobi have you got shares in Sony... oh and give my best to Halle ;)

He makes a good point tho. After august they will change but Halo 3, Mass Effect, Bio Shock

The 360 wont lose sales. PS3 needs a price drop.
