cant find anymore info on the instruments addition.

I want to get this for the kids before christmas, but I dont want to buy the old instruments and RB2.

Does anyone know if the new instruments are any different?

I think the new kit has bits that allows you to add the Mat Catz cymbals if you wanted, otherwise as Tim says, they're basically the same.

nice one.

think I'll get the band edition and maybe RB2 or the 1st one as we have not played any.

We have guitar hero, and I had to fix the dodgy button after a few months, and from reading around the RB kit seems to be more reliable.

You have used both Grim, whats better, the GHWT drum kit or the RB drum kit?

I've heard Tuesday for PSN - same as 360... prob cause the new Killers album is out today, so they didnt want the delay in getting the new song out?

1.01 patch out today, making the GHWT drums work with RB2! Coooool...

Looking forward to doing the drum lessons and also drumming along with music on my PS3 HD. My first goal... Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon!

Yea, surprised they didnt make more of it. I found it tucked away in the manual...

Not sure, dont know and not sure :)

(I've not tried the feature yet as the drums didnt work until today - will try later and report back).

Just tried the GH drums in RB2 (after the new patch) and they work fine, so thats good. The freestyle mode is good too, allowing you to also choose from a range of different 'kit' sounds too.

Big problem for me now after playing GHWT is that 5th pad is soooo much better than RB's 4 pad kit. Having 2 cymbals is what its all about and so many times in the few RB songs I played, I was wanting to crash the orange cymbal.

Think I'll stick to GHWT for my drumming needs!
