Stairway and Freebird are both quality. But there are very few Zep songs I dont like.

Finally found some down time last night and determined to prove I DIDNT want to sell RockBand, I stuck my headphones on and whacked the volume up.

Guitar ONLY for a change and decided to just enjoy it rather than getting frustrated if I didnt do well.

Absolutely loved it - what a game! First song I put on, "...Justice" - nice and easy :LOL: But I was in a Metallica mood and I was well into it.

In the end, played it for about 2 hours on Guitar only and rekindled my love for it! Plenty of rock strutting, eyes closed, headshaking, Josh Homme (QOTSA) mimickery :LOL:

I'm a rock-god again!

More full albums for Rock Band 2

Foo Fighters, Chili Peppers, No Doubt, etc.

A bundle of full albums will soon be available to download for Rock Band 2, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Topping the bill are The Colour and the Shape by Foo Fighters and Blood Sugar Sex Magic from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Then there's Jane's Addiction's Nothing's Shocking, Peace Sells... But Who's Buying from Megadeth, and Stevie Ray Vaughn's Texas Flood. A special 'best of' compilation will also be on offer for No Doubt fans.

There are already some full albums available, of course, including Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance and Doolittle by the Pixies. "We're suprised by how many people opted to get full albums," said MTV Games exec Paul Degooyer. "But it's a good value proposition. Talk about something that's been lost and forgotten." We'd like Steptacular and seminal Scooch album Four Sure next please, Paul.

Rock Band 2 for Xbox 360 is out in the States next month, with a European release date yet to be announced.

Hell yea!!!! 2 Great albums there - classics from when I was growing up.

Hope they are online soon.

Actually, was on the RB forum yesterday and there are 20 albums being announced before the end of August... guess this is the first wave...

Yea me too - need a GH4 release date though so I know when to sell RB and how long I'll have to wait before rocking out again! :)

How much do you reckon its worth at the mo (full RB kit+game)... £120?

You're selling the RB1 game? Not keeping it to play the songs in RB2?

I think you might get £100 for it all, considering RB1 comes out in Europe soon.

Jay posted that the Rush DLC was delayed already but i didnt know it was for this long.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen technical difficulties, we won't be able to release Rush's "Moving Pictures" this week. We'll be working on it as hard as we can, but it looks like it could be a couple of weeks to fix. In the meantime we will be moving around our schedule so we still have DLC coming out each week (including this week, info to follow in another announcement).

Look forward to some exciting news this weekend, from PAX and elsewhere.

Total confusion over the announcement now...

Looks like 'officially' its tomorrow - a leak has stated that amongst some (real) shite tracks, an Offspring 3 pack is released next week:-

OFFSPRING 3-PACK

"Self Esteem"

Odd as I though the Offspring pack was 6 songs - guess they are doing 2?

I know the DLC is already out on XBLA, but I've seen some threads floating around with some folks that were still confused about this week's release. So consider this the OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT THAT IS OFFICIALLY EXTREMELY OFFICIAL.

This week's DLC consists of a trio of artists that performed at this past weekend's Penny Arcade Expo. Celebrated nerd-folk singer songwriter Jonathan Coulton provides the track Skullcrusher Mountain, nerdcore master of ceremonies MC Frontalot delivers the song Livin' at the Corner of Dude and Catastrophe, and Lovecraftian doomsayers The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets bring the moodiness with the song Shhh...

Additionally, we at Harmonix will be donating our portion of the proceeds to Penny Arcade's Child's Play charity.

Tracks will be (are) out on Tuesday on Xbox Marketplace and Thursday on the Playstation Store.

The guy at HMX who said it was a 'massive announcement' is being ass-raped over saying it.

In other news...

GH4 have signed up Smashing Pumpkins for DLC. The Pumpkins new single G.L.O.W will debut IN the game as well as '1979' and another track to go along with 'Today' that is already in the game.

Billy Corgan will also be a character in the game.

RB better buck there ideas up. I cannot understand this strategy really - they are holding back all the DLC for RB2 (which is understandable I spose), but by the time that comes round, everyone is going to be so fucked off with the lack of decent DLC that they may (like me!) jump to GH4 to begin with...

Its only less than two weeks til RB2 comes out in America and the DLC works with RB1 so you shouldn't have long to wait.

The video shows the relatively painless process (with Benny Hill theme music interlude) involved in the 400 ($5) 1.5GB transfer.
