Only the Staind song is worth purchasing for me.

Testament really sound like the old Metallica stuff but I'm just not feeling the track for some reason.

Question

If i've already downloaded one track from say The Best of The Who and then i decide i want to buy the full album - do i end up with a duplicated track in there ?

No idea. I've bought a couple of Boston songs but it still wants to charge me full whack for the pack so it's not worth it if you've bought a song already, just buy the songs you want.

After playing Singstar last night, I feel RB2 definately needs to have a hi-score system. It's so much better trying to sing/play a song when you're having to compete against other people.

I think RB does have a kinda scoreboard but it's not very accessible and it should copy the Singstar method of just pressing a button on the song to show the top scores.

Think its a great 'game' myself and can get very addictive. I usually play it in bursts till my voice gives up!

Yep, never played it before. I'm not much of a singer whatsoever, my voice is pretty poor and I sing quite quietly. But it was a good laugh with my mate when we were both pissed and didn't care too much.

I always won though because he doesn't even sing, he mumbles.

My girlfriend bought it so she could play it as she tried Rock Band and enjoyed the singing but didn't like many songs.

And then I ended up buying Billy Ocean - Carribean Queen because I had 99p spare in my PSN wallet, quality song!

Any tips on Green Grass and High Tides 2nd guitar solo? I play with the GH3 Les Paul guitar, so playing solos is a bit harder than with that in the RB bundle. I can get through the 1st solo and the first half of the 2nd without any major hick-ups. Where I usually fail is the green, yellow, red, yellow, green etc. combo. No matter what I do, I just can't hit the notes properly and even with Overdrive my crowd meter suddenly drops and I fail the song. It's annoying because it's this song that keeps me away from completing the expert guitar solo tour (I initially had some problems with the rest of the songs in the tier, but after 2-3 tries it was easy and I even managed to complete Highway Star on 5*).

It's just practice, practice, practice mate. I must have tried it in the practice arena a good 10 times at different speeds before I nailed the second solo. It really is just a matter of learning the patterns. This was by far the most annoying song on Rock Band. If you haven't already, download the Metallica add on pack - now there's a challenge on Expert Guitar/Drums.

TBH I think Rock Band's expert level is equal to the Hard level on Guitar Hero. Guitar Hero was way more challenging on guitar.

GH is just (a lot) faster. Skill is not important when you can't read the notes.

I haven't got a Live account (yet) so I can't download the Metallica pack. But I believe it's hard to play.

It's just my theory, but GH: Metallica might just be the hardest game in the series. :DD

I'm definitely gonna keep on practising because I really want to beat the solo tour on expert. But before I try again I think I'm gonna play Welcome home one more time. Such a brilliant song to play on the guitar and not that hard as well, although it's in the 8th tier for the guitar. I guess the song just suits me.

More shite I'm afraid Dags :((. Was listening to the Kaiser Chiefs earlier and they would be perfect for Rock Band. Don't know why Harmonix are releasing such tripe.

The guitar and bass would be boring and I imagine the drums would be too. Vocals would be average!

Its much like having a Killers track on the game! There's a reason there's hardly any indie stuff :-pp

Oh Hell Yes! I would kill for a best of queen albumn. And seeing as RockBand 2 has gone into more softer rock tracks I can easily see them adding Queen now more than before.

And there's nothing wrong with indie music being in rock band. The Killers are awesome and so is When You Were Young. It's my favourite track in the game so ner! :-pp

Seconded. We need more songs with good riffs. Muse, old school heavy metal, alternative rock bands etc. Stuff like Radiohead, Verve, Megadeth etc. Plenty to choose from. Maybe some Steve Vai tracks for guitar lovers cos those would be mental. :calmdown:

I quite like the sound of - "Life Is Beautiful" by Sixx AM - it sounds like something else though and i cant quite put my finger on it. It's got to be something the WWE have used as a PPV theme because that's what im being reminded of.
