I think that La liga is not as bad as it seems. It's only that one of the best team of all times is playing it right now, and Madrid is pretty near to be one of the best teams I've watched also. Great teams like Villarreal and Valencia could beat anyone around Europe, but facing those two colossus, you can't fight hard enough.

NO ,because Barca n RM are the top teams in Europe. RM power n Barca`s movement are a different level. My question is other teams make you better or suppose too. If their not being challenge how to they do it. Improve so much I mean miles ahead of everyone. :LOL:
 
saying La Liga is two teams league is crazy...there is great teams like Valencia, Villareal, Sevilla, Atletico, Bilbao... just Barca is now dominating over all of them, including Real.. i think those mentioned would beat other leagues teams if they meet..

explain the table m8 I would love to be enlighten by what you mention "crazy" .

Valencia = 37 pts
Villarreal= 39 pts
Sevilla = 26 pts
Atletico = 27 pts
Bilbao = 29 pts.

I would dare say Valencia n Villarreal are a 2 team league that are still miles apart from the others , but nowhere near the top 2. Gol difference just warrants my thinking.
 
Think Real will pass to the next round. Atletico couldn't beat them even once for more than a decade now, Plus the absence of their key striker Aguero. But everything is possible.
 
Well, everything is possible but there are some things that doesn't seem to be possible. One of them is Atletico winning Real. There's a big gap between both teams when Real puts their best eleven. And it showed. They had a peaceful match and controlled.

They deserved to go through and then face Sevilla. Seems too obvious that the final is shaping up to be Real Madrid - Barcelona...
 
I love the fact Real are trying to win the Copa' (Something they would have normally neglected) and Barcelona are so eager for them to not win ANYTHING are taking it just as serious.

What are the odds for a CL and Copa Final being Real V Barca as well as the league going down to the wire?
 
Well that has to do w/ the coach innit. Mourinho looks for his own accolades he needs to win everything small big even charity cups. You know deep down Pep wants to take everything out of reach for Mourinho.
 
I'm surprised (well not really, considering his squad use at Chelsea and Inter) at how little Mourinho rotates his squad, even in cup games. I know he likes to keep a winning mentality by going all out in the cups but that nearly came to bite him in the backside last season when Inter stuttered in the mid-point of last season and Roma overtook them temporarily.

Fringe and youth players don't really seem to play as big a part in Mourinho's plans as they do to other managers like Ferguson, Wenger, Guardiola etc.
 
So, that federation story for those who missed it: a report on the Spanish federation's official website this week noted that the referee for the Copa del Rey semi-final would run the game "under the watchful eye of José Mourinho, who considers himself to have had decisions go against him lately". Which might have been fine on a normal website but not on the federation's site – which not only has to be strictly neutral but has to be seen to be strictly neutral. The story was only up for 10 minutes before it got taken down but it was too late. Real Madrid released a statement attacking the article, saying it showed that the federation was not impartial and that it had deliberately conditioned referees against them. The federation's explanation? "It was the work experience girl."

Well, that only shows how stupid is the attittude of Mourinho, moaning about everything and specially referees all the bloody time. You can't arrive to a country and start blaming the refs, the other teams, the other managers, the journalists, and finally people from its own club (like Valdano). At some point, people will start reacting to your attacks.

The spanish federation did wrong to publish that, but the text itself doesn't show a thing against Real. So, what I find even more stupid is why Real has published a press statement saying the federation is against them and shows bad refeereing against them? Really? Is this a joke? How can that published text imply that?

When you put so much pression as Mourinho has put everywhere, you have to accept some of this pression will come back to you.

There's a clear reason why Real and his players are being booed at every stadium in Spain and quickly loosing fans everywhere where they were applauded 10 years ago.
 
They always were booed everywhere for the last twenty years except the Zidane era. The thing is Mourinho wants to use that hate to their benefit.

You don't live in Spain, do you? I've been living here my whole life, and I can tell you, Real was applauded almost everywhere in Spain up until the end of the first Florentino era. Or at least, tolerated, but never hated. There were lots of people with Real shirts in the stadiums and they were not being booed in cities like Valladolid, Zaragoza, Huelva, Alicante, Gijon, Almeria, Villarreal, Getafe, etc... Not at the level of Juventus at Italy, but it was by far the most popular team in Sapin, the most beloved and the most respected. Out of Barcelona and the Basque Country, it was hardly booed.

Look, even in Espanyol stadium Madrid has been booed to death this year, when it's a stadium that traditionally was like playing at home for Real in the 90s and early 00s.

You know what the word "señorío" means and what's the importance of this word for Real? It's a word that ceased to define the club some years ago. It's a process that has reached its peek with Florentino and Mourinho.

But if you want to continue lying to yourself, you're free to do so!

Sorry if I sounded too harsh, really I apologize if I did, but that's maybe because you simply deny my arguments without making any or giving enough data to back it up or properly knowing how things have worked here in Spain. I'm quite a fair poster, though of course I have my share of biasing as any other person.

But then, please, explain me the following:
That Real was the most popular and beloved team in Spain up to the XXI century it's common knowledge. Last year Madrid as a team wasn't booed in every stadium, though Ronaldo was. Raul was never booed everywhere, nor was Zidane or Beckham, nor even Hugo Sanchez back in the 80s (and he was a sort of a prick, like Stoichkov). This year the ammount of hatred towards Real is absolutely staggering. Just watch any away match. There must be some connection between the ammount of hate of most fans towards anything "Real Madrid" that wasn't there before...

And this Real happens to be one of the best teams of all times in La Liga, just as like year. Being so awesome in the pitch, with some of the best players in the world and great players/persons such as Casillas, Alonso, Granero and being hated everywhere... Really, that doesn't worry to Madrid fans?

Well, I think the hatred towards a big club isn't an exclusive Real Madrid process. For instance, Benfica was respect in every field all over the years until the 2000's. Nowadays there are two clubs - Benfica and Anti-Benfica (In fact, there are much more Benfica fans in away games than the home team fans tough). So do Corinthians and many others big clubs I guess.
 
So was Inter. I think it depends on players and the coach. Sometimes one or two players can make a whole team hated.

Anyway how about this RVN saga. The players really wants to get back, even offered to pay Hamburg part of the fee and play for free, Real want him, and his agent said he will not renew at the end of the season. What are Hamburg trying to prove? Do they really count that much on him?

HSV has the right to reject any offer. Ruud is under contract with HSV so there is nothing much to do. However, if they know they are going to lose him at the end of the season maybe the most sensate option would has been to accept the money from Madrid. Now the target is called Emmanuel Adebayor.

You know Florentino, he always likes to add one more star to the club. I hate the "galácticos" nickname but I tend to admit people are right when they talk about our politic.

About Llorente, how I wished it was true!
 
Adebayor confirmed for you guys! I don't see him being better than Benzema in positional play and quick counters, but he may score some goals with all the great players he will have around.

I think Llorente would be just an amazing player and I would love to have him come to barcelona, though that's impossible, we won't pay 30 M€ for him.

But if Llorente goes to Madrid, are you going to sell Higuain? I don't get all the negativity around Pipita. He's your 2nd best player by far and he's always criticized and treated badly. They say he never scores in big matches, but you could say the same about Ronaldo in the last 2 seasons! He is an amazing player and a top 5 striker for me. Llorente is a great player, but he's not at the same level of Higuain.

In a certain aspect, though, Llorente is like Drogba, a target man, and something Mourinho would want for the team if he stays another season.

About the Sevilla vid: well, they always do the same in the Cup, their president is a clown and I don't think that's the best way to warm for the match. Hope we see a fair match!
 
You only have to see the results of the team with and without Higuain. Plus, Higuain is one ofthe best strikers in the positional play. That means that he opens up a lot of space for ronaldo. One of the keys for Ronaldo record of goals (aside from penalties), is the ammount of goals he does thanks to Higuain moving defenders out of position. This is football fundamentals. You can see how Ronaldo's numbers also go down quickly when Higuain can't play.

For the very first time I agree with you! (well, a part from the sarcasm of CR7 penalties). Higuain is an amazing player, certainly one of the most important guys in recent years. I love Llorente but it's hard to place him on this team (I thought the same when Inter signed Pandev and you can see the results). Llorente is probably moving overseas (England I mean).

It was not sarcasm actually, really I swear! I mean the guy is a scoring machine, but 5 of his goals have been from the penalty spot, that's a fact and it's roughly 25% of his goals. It's not less important, you have to score them (Messi, for example, missed one in the cup last week while Ronaldo never misses lately).

And you're a liar! It's not the first time we agree on something, in fact we tend to agree on many many things, just not about Mourinho!

Wish you luck tonight.... I think you will win easily, one or two goals in the first half and go home. This Sevilla (even with Navas fit) is not what it was and you play much better than them.
