Real Madrid Thread

I would love Llorente at White Hart Lane, that would banish Crouch from our team forever!

I think it was Sid Lowe or Graham Hunter that said he was lined for the summer, that's why the club were hesitant to sign another forward this month.

It was not sarcasm actually, really I swear! I mean the guy is a scoring machine, but 5 of his goals have been from the penalty spot, that's a fact and it's roughly 25% of his goals. It's not less important, you have to score them (Messi, for example, missed one in the cup last week while Ronaldo never misses lately).

And you're a liar! It's not the first time we agree on something, in fact we tend to agree on many many things, just not about Mourinho!

Wish you luck tonight.... I think you will win easily, one or two goals in the first half and go home. This Sevilla (even with Navas fit) is not what it was and you play much better than them.

So it's the very first time I COMPLETELY agree with you! That's more correct. :P

Thanks mate, I'm frankly hoping a fair game although I think we're going to see a war (inside and outside the field). And yeah, we are favourites, this Sevilla side isn't that special. Oh and it seems Sevilla isn't properly a loved team in Spain. Personally I don't like them (and their idiot President!).

I would love too. With a World Class striker the Spurs would probably give a shot at the Premier title.

Nope, Sevilla is not a much beloved club. Partly because great rivals Betis ARE the popular side. I'm convinced almost everyone has some kind of simpathy for Betis. They are just so fun and passionate that you must just love them.

Traditionally, Sevilla was the team of the "lords" while Betis was the team of the "people".

Hahahaa... this has Del Nido written all over it!!

Anyway, I didn't watch the match but it probably wasn't the most 'fair' game was it? Sevlila vs. Real never is. Well... actually it used to be back in the day... but past few years, it's always been a WAR!! Goals, excitement, cards, violence! Great games to watch for neutrals tho! :D

Anyhow Karim does his thing! 1-0 lead to take home to Bernabeu... not over yet but should be. We'll see... this is a poor Sevilla side compared to recent years but I still expect a FIGHT in the 2nd leg and for them to give it their all and at least make some Real players injured/suspended...

worst disallow gol since lampard`s bounce inside the gol mouth (WC -Eng. vs Germ. ). Lucky , lucky RM :P I hope to see Barca vs RM final. tasty!

Ade what are they thinking.... All you end up with is a few brawl matches in training.

Hard to judge but in my opinion was a good decision.

to me it´s clearly a goal... you have to understand the line has also beginning..on the firs picture you see the ball is not even visible with the line..

Well, to me Albiol did great and the decision is up to the referee. Very hard to judge. To me it's a goal and it isn't at the same time. So imagine the linesamn difficulty to judge it...

In fact, I know this red-haired linesman, it's the sibling of a friend of my mother ;)
Fermiiiiin!!! He is quite a character, this man... I always laugh when I see him in TV.

it wouldn't bother me if the ref had given the goal either. (it was goal imo) but I'm sure there's a man who would be pissed off without any doubt if the decision would have been the other way around. guess who :P

anyway, respectt. :)

Oh dear, once again I agree with you! Am I sick? (although I still tend to say no goal)

Yeah the poor man seems a funny guy. You look at him and you instantly start laughing.

the question is, if the line in football is considered a neutral space? becouse the ball is not behind the line - so then it´s a good decision.. also often we see the ball on lines being not called out, becouse they were not out fully..

little presentation how i thought it is but i think that´s not the case in football..

you have to have whole ball behind the full line to be considered out or goal i guess..

The line is part of the field. If the ball is touching the line, it is in play, therefore it wasn't a goal.

The red line should be just above the goal line in your pic.

Yes you're right. Pipa's presentation is almost correct, just need to adjust the last point you have mentioned.

By the way, check this out. The situation is described at Law 10.

For God sake! It's enough! International Board should implement the Hawk-Eye technology now.

I really can't get the situation. I see the position as the ball didn't completely pass the line but it doesn't touch the line as well, isn't it like that? According to Hawk-Eye thing, it's goal but according to FIFA rule it's not. I actually has changed my decision on it. pff..

They should make the line thinner  or thicker to the size of the bar :P .... either way the rule should lien towards the attacking team. Not the rich popular team :LMAO:

it´s not a goal if it was like on my presentation, but how it was exactly from this angle we never know becouse FIFA still dont need to add simple cameras inside bars.. If Lampards goal was not allowed, this dont surprise me at all..

Doesn't matter that the ball "touches" the line or not [some shots don't completely pass over the line yet they're airborne]. You have to imagine a net behind the line; this ball would still touch that net so it rightfully wasn't a goal. In a birds-eye view of the field you should be able to see the whole ball behind the goal post

You only have to see the results of the team with and without Higuain. Plus, Higuain is one ofthe best strikers in the positional play. That means that he opens up a lot of space for ronaldo. One of the keys for Ronaldo record of goals (aside from penalties), is the ammount of goals he does thanks to Higuain moving defenders out of position. This is football fundamentals. You can see how Ronaldo's numbers also go down quickly when Higuain can't play.

Agree, Hugiain is a truly brilliant striker!

Great match today. Very exciting! Would've been one of the better 0-0 matches even if it had finished goal-less.

Both teams desperate for a victory and so right from start, it was such a battling performance from both sides.

Ultimately Osasuna deserved it and grabbed the 1-0 home win which will give them 3 very precious points and some real belief that they can and will stay in Primera Liga otherwise they'd go down after 11 years.

Aranda (Real Madrid youth player formerly) was especially sensational while Pandiani was poor.

And Osasuna did this without their 2 Persian stars, Nekounam and Masoud.

Camacho as always had a nice defensive lay out and the team kept its shape.

They were the better side they were unlucky not to get the 2nd gol to an empty net. Ref carded a dive not seeing that in awhile . Barca should wrap it up ! call it a season

Now RM should focus mainly on Cups, Mourinho's best job. Second place is kinda secured anyway as there's no threat on that and won't be in the future imo. It's called league, that is, where you can not tolerate even one point loss while you've a rival like Barça but in cups this is only you or them, there's not any other team's affect.

If I'd be Mourinho, I'd let the team lose a home-match before the Barcelona clash. I don't know if he cares about that record but still, surely it wouldn't bring more attention a usual team breaking it than possibly Barça doing it (imagine the media then).

:)

Barcelona might face Real 4 times in April. Now that will be epic. Imagine the media pressure then.
