Re: The Rangers Thread - Hearts 1-2 Rangers - 4 year deal with UMBRO

ClassicD said:
The reason the deal is "undisclosed" is because it's not as much as Celtic are getting from Nike, if it was equal to or more than that it wouldn't be undisclosed. I also don't figure how it can be a "seven-figure sum" if you're planning on getting £6.5m "per annum" as over 4 years that would total £26,000,000.

:-s :^o

The likelihood is that £6.5m per annum that Rangers "anticipate" they'll make includes kit sales. Celtic get £5m up front per annum from Nike before kit sales are even added.

I know you ain't an Umbro fan Frazer, I thought I'd may as well make it worse.

Diadora gave us a "seven-figure sum" the past 3 seasons. £1m per season apparently. All the money goes to Rangers because they manufacture their own kits.

And by the way, the £5m royalties from Nike is less than what Rangers will make. We're making a much bigger profit on our shirts than you will with Nike.

Re: The Rangers Thread - Hearts 1-2 Rangers - 4 year deal with UMBRO

But Celtic get £5m before a shirt is even sold - Rangers are estimating they'll make £6.5m per-season when you factor in shirt sales. Celtic won't make as little as £1.5m a year from shirt sales.

Another viewpoint.

Injury time equaliser by Brian Prunty means we won't go 9 points clear today. :xbottled-it.com/rangers

Re: The Rangers Thread - Rangers 1-1 Inverness CT

Ex-Celtic player too, apparently he mishit it into the ground and it bounced over the goalie and in.

Bonus.

Here's a wee preview of the new Gers home strip which the public won't see till monday and not out till may. Aye, I know the Sun had an 'exclusive' today but that was a shiter of a photo and doesn't show it in the best light.

As an unbiased Celtic fan...................... , I don't think he's done much really, had a couple of glimpses in games from him. Maybe he'll do better next season, but I've not been too impressed with him.

Don't think many teddy bears will disagree with me there.

Re: The Rangers Thread - New Kit Pics

He's being quoted in the official Feyenoord newspaper as saying the Scottish league is "the roughest in Europe."

He's a good player, skillfull, quick, can take on players... we've just yet to see it. He's pretty low on confidence just now.

Re: The Rangers 'CHAMPIONS' Thread

I dont like the fact Hibs layed down for them, but there is nothing you can do.

I aint even a Celtic fan, because quite frankly Scottish football is 100% shit, but I was in shock when I found out Celtic let Motherwell score with 2 minutes to go, and I almost died when I found out they let them score AGAIN 2 minutes later.

I still cant believe it happened, how Celtic could let 2 goals in with 2 minutes to go is well and truly beyond me.

If I was Martin O'Neill, I would definately leave, although I think he was already on his way out, but I would be embarassed to even support the team after today.

I still think Celtic is the better team, maybe if they got more than £50 to buy players with they could do well in the CL, but unless they get some money next season Rangers will continue to win the league.

Although I still dont know why Rangers can buy player after player after player while being in debt, yet Celtic on the other hand dont buy nothing while they got to the final of the UEFA cup and have won the SPL 4 times in the last 5 years.

Welcome to the wonderfull world of football.

Re: The Rangers 'CHAMPIONS' Thread

No, but I was listening to the radio, and considering the 2 commentators did nothing but wank over Rangers, I will believe when they say that Hibs layed down for the last 20 minutes.

The conspiracy officially begins.....

We are the people! Yes Marvin, we are all believers! God truly is a blue nose.

Re: The Rangers 'CHAMPIONS' Thread

Hibs lying down? If anyone believes that they're a diddy, it didn't matter what happened at Easter Road if Celtic won anyway, so it's null and void.

Own fault.

Re: The Rangers 'CHAMPIONS' Thread

I keep watching it over and over again. It's a fairy tale. You would only dream of this happening. Then the roar came at the 88th minute...

Re: The Rangers 'CHAMPIONS' Thread

Well quite frankly I am baffled, here I have 2 commentators who are obviously hardcore Rangers fans saying Hibs aint going forward for the last 20 mins on the radio, but according to people this didnt happen..

Ah well..

No one is saying it didn't. As Classic pointed out, if Celtic had won, the result at Easter Road wouldn't have mattered. Celtic lost the title.

Also I'm not surprised Hibs stopped trying to get anything out of the game when that scoreline suited them. By the sounds of it Aberdeen were unlucky not to score more than they did. Imagine if Hibs had pushed forward to get something and Rangers punished them on the counter. I think there was only a couple of goals in it in the end between them and Aberdeen.

Re: The Rangers 'CHAMPIONS' Thread

So you guys signed Fan-Fan this evening, I'm not too sure how much he is rated in France but could be a decent buy. The story about him turning down Celtic is funny though, he was offered to Celtic first and they chose not to sign him, but then that's the same thing eh? ;).

btw I notice on the pic Foxy posted of him with the Rangers shirt it had a small Carling logo on the back under the collar, is that gonna be on the official kit?
