Re: The Rangers Thread

You wouldn't happen to have the goals as well foxtrot by any chance?

Re: The Rangers Thread - Rangers 2-0 Celtic - goals inside

Good result for the Gers last night after a poor first half. Should be a good game against AZ next week. Looking forward to it.

Re: The Rangers Thread - Rangers 2-0 Celtic - goals inside

On current form I'd tip AZ to give you a real tough match, super Barry 'The Wife Beater' van Galen is back in action and they are going great guns in the Eredivisie.

Re: The Rangers Thread - Rangers 2-0 Celtic - goals inside

I was there last night. The first half was terrible. The second half wasn't much better and I thought the scoreline flattered us a bit.

AZ? Who are AZ? ;)

It did a bit, yeah. I think AZ could be our hardest game yet, they have been flying as Classic says, so it'll be interesting.

Hearts at the weekend though. They had a great result last night too. Good week for the Scottish sides in Europe. Makes a change.

Re: The Rangers Thread - Umbro, bloody Umbro!

what is it with umbro you dont like? im not necessarily saying the gers should switch sponsors, for i do like the gers diadora kit. but whats wrong with umbro that makes you deplore them?

Re: The Rangers Thread - Umbro, bloody Umbro!

The quality of Umbro garments is shocking. The designs are shit compared to adidas or Nike. And on top of that, their long association with the other team. Now they think they can just switch sides.

Re: The Rangers Thread - Umbro, bloody Umbro!

fair enough that they have been linked with Celtic that u dont like them but to say the quality is shocking LMAO got to be better then the paper strips u have at the moment.

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread

Yep, you're squeezing out results when you don't play well (vs Hibs and again today), while we are not killing sides off.

btw Foxy, don't Rangers make their own kits, so it'd only be the Umbro logo on the top? What do the quality of Umbro's garments matter if that's the case?

Nike CSC

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread

That's the only thinkg Rangers would make... the kits. The training gear and everything else would be proper Umbro. The kits will be Umbro designs probably.

Umbro are balls.

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread

I see Michael Mols is looking at a 7 match ban after only his second game on his return to FC Utrecht.

Missed by the officials, Mols, in the first minute of the game, is clearly caught on TV cameras punching De Graafschap defender Milan Berck Beelenkamp in the face knocking him unconcious and unable to continue the game.

'It was not deliberate - I was just trying to keep him away from me. If the disciplinary board don't believe me then I have a big problem.' - Mols

:lmao:

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread - Mols' 7 match ban

I hope they'll ban him for the rest of this season. I've always liked the player Mols, but this was way too far. He knocked him out cold from behind.

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread - Mols' 7 match ban

AZ were pretty good in the first half, although in the second they looked ordinary. I wasn't very impressed with van Galen at all Joost, Landzaat was the best player on the pitch and Perez is also a good player.

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread - Mols' 7 match ban

We got ripped apart for the goal which was brilliant. We had a decent second half but I don't know what their manager is all about saying we can win the UEFA Cup.

We should be able to beat Auxerre comfortably. If Grazer can beat them, we can beat them. It's just a bit of a bastard that we're going to end up finishing second and being hit with a Champions League reject team... ie Real Madrid.

I think by that he was trying to take away the pressure from his own team and put it on Rangers.

I'm not too fussy about who we get in the next round just as long as we get there. The league should be the main priority this season and a run in the UEFA Cup is a bonus.

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread - Mols' 7 match ban

Van Galen didn't play that bad I think, hos one touch passing was good and he gave a nice through ball in the first half which Landzaat should have finished. His header in the second half was almost brilliant.

Landzaat was the best player on the pitch, with Opdam and Mathijssen. The goal was brilliant, but after the first half they lost control.

All in all a good game, certainly not their best.

This is the Rangers thread? Prso looks good, but too selfish and for rest they look poor. I can't see them going for a top 4 position in the Dutch league. even though our league sucks.

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread - Mols' 7 match ban

Well the top spot was nice while it lasted!

Piiish.

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread - Mols' 7 match ban

Hahahah, stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

Re: The Rangers 'Top of the League' Thread - Mols' 7 match ban

We'll be back up soon enough. Both Rangers and Celtic are shite this season and I bet we yoyo each other many times before the season ends.

Re: The Rangers Thread - Inverness CT 1-1 Rangers

Boumsong apparently the subject of an £8m bid from Newcastle. We all know he was a target for them but £8m for an SPL defender is taking the piss, I think Newcastle would be crazy to bid that much and Rangers likewise would be nuts to turn that down.

Pffft!

I'd tell them to stick it! I expect at least a season out of Boumsong and no less than £10m if they really want to sell. If they can sell an injury prone Woodgate for £13.4m then I'm sure £10m isn't a lot to ask for a French international.

I don't see why he'd want to join them anyway. If it was Arsenal or Chelsea, even Man Utd then fair enough but not Newcastle.
