C'mon on Gnairn3 you know fine well that us Aberdeen fans are angels and never cause trouble.

I cant wait till Celtic face some reality this year, lucky run last year wont be repeated, I can see them losing at least 3 goals a game, their midfield is so slow they will be run all over the place, only their cheating diving might give them some chances

So what do you think of the news that Emerson looks like signing for you lot FS? I think he would do great for you, he's big, strong and great at spotting a pass.

It'll be tough for us yes, Lyon have been the dominant French team for the past few seasons now, and Anderlecht are fairly unknown. Bayern we all know about, a world-class team who will be out to make sure they don't exit at the first stage like last season.

We don't need a fast midfield, we just hump the ball up to Hartson/Sutton to knock down for Henke to score as usual  .

Emerson could be a good buy for you, although from what I've heard he's not a fan of wet/cold weather and that's why he buggered off to Spain and Portugal, leaving behind sunny Teeside. I thought Rangers' days of paying OTT for players' wages were gone, obviously not if you're willing to pay the alleged £20,000 a week he wants. If he stays fit and doesn't go off on a bender then he could be a good buy though, even just for one season.

John Carew I dunno about, I mean he's big and strong, a Norwegian, and someone who's threatened to perform well but never really clicked into gear. I wonder who else fits that bill :D.

LOL.........I've already said I'll find it hard to get through, but think we're a better unit in Europe than Rangers. That's my opinion.

As for home form, your talking bollocks mate. We are undeafeated in umpteen games and that includes quality sides in there i.e. valencia, Juve, Porto, Liverpool, Stuttgart, Celta Vigo etc.

FD

Come on you might have been undefeated but you never beat them all at home, mostly draws which is fine in a knock out cup but in the CL 1 point at home is not going to be enough, you know it Frankie  Celtic are mince, you will be lucky to get 3 points IMO, big Rab in the CL hahahahaha quality!!

Ripkord is obviously a tim in disguise, the Rangers fear no team and neither they should!!

Although on a sour note, £10 million isn't a correct figure, it's lower than that.

Your right but I already proved that to your mate Danny, but still he wont believe it

Im sorry FS but Celtic did beat Juventus, Porto, Celta Vigo, Stuttgart, Valencia and Rosenborg at Celtic Park. I honestly think we can beat all 3 teams at Celtic Park but its the away form in " CL " format that i worry about our chances.

Rangers have got no chance!

Mate I think even they know that.....

So Darrens left the SPL champs to go play for blackburn lol!!!!

Fergie's been in the papers talking about his time at Rangers, says it left him scarred, personally I think it had feck all to do with him marrying a Catholic (though im sure it didnt help) it probley had more to do with the fact that he played sh*t for them......

But he'll get his revenge

LOL we might not have much chance but its as much chance as Celtic have, really you lot are getting way too ahead of yourselfs, your first time in Europe after X-Mas for about 20 years last year was and you think you are big time or something LOL, I can already imagine the carpark lynchmob out in full force when you get pumped in the CL, I will be loving it, we dont expect nothing, we are realistic, you Celtic fans are set for a massive fall this year and I will be here laughing in your faces!!

Who is Darren?? Vannie

As for Emerson, well we can pay him as we just got a £17million windfall LOL hahahahahahaha, no biscuit tin at Ibrox, dont be jealous

lol, I'm not setting myself up for any fall, I don't expect qualification, but I don't expect to get pumped either. Bayern will be extremely hard and I can expect no more than defeat there (maybe a chance of something at Parkhead but I won't be surprised if we lose there too). Lyon beat us 1-0 home and away 3 years ago, and we're a much better side now (although admittedly, probably so are they). They're a team we're capable of beating, I'm not saying we will. Anderlecht are fairly unknown to me, obviously they have a good side or else they wouldn't be here, but I would expect to beat them at home, and get at least a point away.

I would not be surprised if we don't qualify, IMO the favourites for our group are Bayern and Lyon. We haven't improved our side from last year but I won't go as far as saying "we will not qualify". However I will do that for Rangers, you will not qualify  .

As for Emerson, where'd you get the £17m from? You're the one who says £10m guaranteed is nonsense ;) . He's not the same caliber of Ferguson and you know it, and what's £17m when you're in as much debt as Rangers are anyway  .

Seeing as Barry is away, I went into Glasgow earlier and went to Greaves with my Ferguson6 rangers top. Someone on here said there was a special liquid that sports shops have that could take off printed on names & numbers. Greaves didn't have a clue what I was on about. The Rangers shop said it couldn't be done. :x

New kit for me then.

Just keep the shirt with Bazza on it, no shame in that :D

LOL @ CD, your lot are gonna get pumped, u will be lucky to get 3 points in that group, the carpark at the piggery is gonna be full of 'the best fans in the world' baying for blood, canny wait for it, should be a right laugh

Wish you would make your mind up, first Bazza was overated, then Emerson was gonna be a great signing for Celtic, and now he is not as good as Bazza, talking in riddles again I see LOL

Champions!!

Lets not discuss things to do with the past, i mean Rangers fans constantly sing about the past, aprox. 300 years ago to be precise. :D

NORWEGIAN striker Egil Ostenstad has become a shock target for Rangers.

Just 24 hours after Rovers completed the signing of Barry Ferguson from the Glasgow giants, Ostenstad could now find himself heading in the opposite direction.

Ibrox chief Alex McLeish is eager to bolster his attacking options in preparation for the Champions League and he has targeted the former Southampton star after missing out on Valencia hit-man Jon Carew who opted to join Roma instead.

Ostenstad has slipped down the pecking order at Rovers over the summer and manager Graeme Souness is prepared to let him go.

The 31-year-old is now set for talks with the Scottish champions and he could become a Gers player in the next 24 hours.

Rangers director of football business Martin Bain said: "The deal to bring John Carew to the club is dead.

"I can confirm that Egil is a player we are looking at. We'll stage talks and we'll take things from there."

If Ostenstad agrees to a move then that will allow Souness to press ahead with his attempts to sign Dino Baggio.

More info on Fergies move!
He's been to Blackburn and had a medical 4 weeks ago.
Blackburn are offering £6m and a striker.
Andy Cole is NOT an option but Matt Jansen or Egil Ostenstad are the choices Rangers have.
Before Barry signed the extension in the summer he was told by the board that Patrik Berger had already signed for the Ibrox club.
Family reasons which i can't print are also a main reason for Fergie wanting to leave Scotland.

Again FS i was first to let you bluenoses know whats really going on LAST SATURDAY!!!!!!! Get your info from me, not the press! :D

Err no he aint part of the deal, this would be a seperate deal after the talks with Carew fell apart.

Maybe you can tell us where to find the key to the biscuit tin at Parkheid also then???

You are joking, right??!!!! It just so happened that Barry was sold to Blackburn and then OH! WHY DON'T WE TRY AND BUY A NORWEGIAN F*CKWIT TO BOLSTER(?) OUR ATTACK!! Egil has been offered to Rangers as part of the deal to get Ferguson, TRUST ME! :D

Carew was never going to Ibrox anyway, don't you think Rangers could get a better striker than Ostenstadt? IMO i think they can.

If he was part of the deal then talks would have to have taken place with the player before Barry signed for them, so clearly it has nothing to do with the Ferguson deal which is cash based and no player involved apart from Ferguson, thats the facts.

Yep FS is right there, they only went after Egil when other deals broke down.

i also think he can do a good job for the Gers.

LOL @ FS - at no point did I say Emerson would be a great signing for Celtic, I said he was Brasilian and had hair like Edgar Davids but if that qualifies as a good signing for you then away you go. Let's see, Ferguson, 25, sold for about £6-7m. Emerson, 31, free transfer as a mid-table La Liga side didn't think he was worth keeping. Oh and btw, it was roasting yesterday and he trained with a fookin jumper on, I cannae wait to see what he's like come winter up here  .

On a more serious note I also said he could be a good signing for you. Time will tell if MON was right to lose interest when Emerson wanted £20,000 a week, or if Rangers have repeated the same mistake of paying out far too much again.

On Ostenstad, never done anything to suggest he's any good, but then many players have been great and then failed so I dunno how that will work out. Although he is another lanky Norwegian :D.

i disagree on the Egil fron CD, he scored a fair few for the Saints when he was there, as far as i can remember. and if he can do that in the prem then i'm sure he'll be able to do it in the SPL.

he was never the quickest so lack of pace aint gona affect him, as he's getting on a bit now, i think he's 31?

Yeah, i can't believe Rangers are signing this peice of shite, he's never done anything and never will. Rangers your team is tottaly crumbling now especially now as your selling all your good players and signing too many old men.
