FS just face it Copenhagen are going to smash you to pieces, especially if Berg is playing. Although if Rangers qualify i won't be too bothered as i would love to see them get drawn against Real Madrid. :mrgreen:

Aint u going to the Dons match against Buckie Thistle tonight? :mrgreen: I hear if you win you will be favourites for the highlands cup :D

Double-edged sword if Ferguson stays, good on one hand but on the other he's made his desire to leave abundantly clear, and thus he won't be the happiest of chappies if he has to stay. If things get tough then some fans will be on his back as he's made his intentions known.

I agree FS, I'm not saying Ferguson is worth whatever it is Rangers want for him but too many English clubs try and poach SPL players on the cheap, get them tae f**k :mrgreen: .
 
Now that the match is almost upon us I feel a little less enthusiastic about rangers prostpects than i did earlier on....
...Berg: :oops: what an embarrassment for a club like rangers to field such a slow player... Mols: he better not have another game where he misses sitter upon sitter provided by de Boer!... De Boer: Is he fit?... so many worries!!

But I have renewed hope when i think we cannot play as bad as we did 2 weeks ago :D

Hehe, yeah I got this a lot last year, every round from Blackburn onwards, I think I took about a decade off my life with worry ;). It's what makes footy so special though.

Ferguson was great. Arteta was great. Berg was really great. Every rangers player played great!!! except Arveladze, but he did score the winning goal.

Ah well... we are in the champions league proper now.. who cares if we get shagged at least we will be competing.....

Copenhagen might've looked good at Ibrox but we showed tonight that we are the better team!! and we won!!

We needed this result bad and we got it. From what I gather we played crap but showed some bottle with this guttsy performance. 10 million pounds in the coffers for a team 50 million in debt was a must, hopefully this will easy the financal pressure and give the Gers fans and players something to look forward to. We'll probably get a roasting in the Champions League but who cares, at least were there!
Two Glasgow teams in the Champions League - can't wait!
Hope Newcastle make it aswell.

Well done the gers.Im from west glasgow so my family are gers.Iam the odd one out.We bought the game on Setanta and i thought:

Copenhagen were poor except from Zuma.
Rangers played well but often got pushed back.Arteta and Berg were stunning.Arteta really is one of the greatest midfielders in Britain.Better than bazza. :mrgreen:

Well done, did say I felt Rangers would sneak it and Copenhagen would score ;).

How does it feel? Bloody brilliant, good for the nation as a whole for both teams to get there, our co-efficient is rising all the time :).

The draw is on live, Sky Sports News tomorrow at about 2:30/3pm I think. Lets hope we get to play big teams (fook, we can't really avoid this can we :mrgreen: ) and still have a kind enough draw to give us a chance of progression. Anyone know if English and Scottish teams can be drawn together now that there's only one group stage? I want Celtic to get Real Madrid, even if we get annihilated, just so we can say we played that Madrid.

COME ON THE SCOTS!
 
yeah eng/scot teams can be in the same pot AFAIK

Really would like to see a battle of britain though... remeber that leeds game, amazin, although i have to admit, if we ever were gonna win it, it would have been that year. :( cheating french gh3ys... :D
 
Where do you get the £10 million to ease the debts, thought you'd have to go far in the competition to get that?? :roll:

Well done to Rangers though, although I think they're going to find it very difficult in the group stages, as will Celtic for me, however I think we'll compete a bit better, however unless we get a very kind draw I can't see us make it with the team we have lacking a bit of flair.

CD - As for wanting to play Real, don't talk stupid, I like many others at the game last night said we want to stay well away from the likes of Real and that, and are hoping for a kinder draw. If I had to take a 1st seed, it'd be Arsenal, Lazio or Deportivo who we might have a little chance against. 2nd seeds, probably Panathanaikos or PSV and 4th seeds, really anyone apart from Sociedad.

However looking at the teams in the draw they're going to be really good groups.

FD that's just a match I'd like to see, I rather play Real and go out than play your PSVs, Lazios and Arsenals, etc.

As for progression, I'll wait till I see the groups, I read somewhere recently that Celtic would have qualified from ANY of the groups last year with the points total they got the year before - football's a funny old game.

Don't start the flookin £10m thing again, we've done that while you were sunning yourself ;). How was the holiday anyway?

Wonder how Bazza feels now, does he still want to leave and miss out on CL football? I think he should stay now for the rest of the season :mrgreen:

Also the rumours about Carew coming if we made the CL, sounds interesting a big target man would be ideal for Rangers.
