Rangers Thread

Yeah, i can't believe Rangers are signing this peice of shite, he's never done anything and never will. Rangers your team is tottaly crumbling now especially now as your selling all your good players and signing too many old men.
The term 'Panic Buying' springs to mind...

Aye we'll see. He could be playing tomorrow against the Arabs. No doubt he'll be on the bench at least.

And we'll read why Barry "had to leave Ibrox" in the Sunday Mail tomorrow.

It was not roasting yesterday.
LOL! Well it was roasting where I live, which isn't too far from Murray Park. I also recall seeing a blazing sunshine when it showed Emerson training in his big jumper. It was fooking roasting.

Celtic have bought no one and in Europe that will be our undoing. Rangers have replaced first-team players who only won the league by two goals last year because of Celtic's European efforts, with duds and has-beens. Celtic will walk the league this year because Rangers have panic-bought and have to play in Europe as well (an arena in which you'll get pumped).

Goodnight  .

OMG! Your team couldn't do it on points last year despite playing something like 14 games less and having done no travelling. This year you've lost your captain and easily your best player, a first-pick centre-half (Amoruso), a first-pick left-back (Numan), another centre-half/DM (Konterman), another full-back (Muscat), a winger (McCann) and a striker (Caniggia).

You've brought in Henning Berg (slower than Varga :D and needs a zimmerframe to play), Capucho (not looked interested at all since joining), and Emerson (£20,000 a week for a 31yo Brasilian who couldn't make it at Middlesbrough in his peak and who was released by a mid-to-bottom half of table La Liga side for nothing). Khizanishvili is the only one you've bought who MAY turn out to be a good signing.

FFS in WE7 I swear Rangers are like 3/4 short of a full bench in my game I've had to release so many players :D.

We're discussing the league FFS, how many bloody Spurs/Arsenal/Man Utd/Liverpool arguments are there and we don't fucking moan about them.

BILL'S EIGHT GOAL SHAME

LEGENDARY Scots film director Bill Forsyth managed to miss EIGHT goals in a single game when he was a sports cameraman.

It happened at the 1965 League Cup semi-final when Rangers beat Kilmarnock 6-4.

In a BBC Radio Scotland interview today, Archie MacPherson, who was covering the match for BBC, recalls: "There were 10 goals but it was a one-all draw as far as viewers were concerned."

"I had a young assistant cameraman with me and he was very nervous. The camera was jamming and the film was falling. It was just awful."

Archie reveals the culprit to be Forsyth, of Gregory's Girl and Local Hero fame.

LOL! Oh to be alive when that was on!

as for your strip mate, i had a brazil strip years ago and gave it to my mum to get romario put on the back, and it came back with romarryo  illiterate sports shop staff ffs :) anyway.... I soaked it in turps overnight and a with a bit of picking and a fair bit of patience it came off..

worth a shot if youre gonna get a new kit anyway...

well it didnt with mine, saying that it could be different material...

hence me saying if youre gonna get a new one anyway....

im trying to think of less 'abbrasive' organic liquids.... but they aint exaclty on the shelves in sainsburys know what i mean....

like acetone, or propanone.......... hety wait a minute, nail polish remover is mostly propanone, and im pretty sure that wont fuck your strip (turps may not either) could try it on an old strip of same material - check the label on strip - to make sure...

oh yeah, keep it away from that carling bit on the front, looks like a stiff breeze might take that off!! :)

Aye the Carling logos are pish ou our kits. They're like stickers. Celtics aren't much better though. They're proper but my mates logo has gone grey in the wash.

another cerltic/rangers argument. suprise, suprise

No-one is forcing you to read it.

yeah they are, CW says if i dont read every last post in the footy thread i wont get no supper

are they sown on the celtic tops?? thats shite, how come we got the shitty ones :(

btw i just chucked some turps on an old top (100% polyester like the rangers one) and it isnt dissolving..... :) im waiting to see if it does anything to the colour, im guessing it wont...

EGIL LANDS AT RANGERS

RANGERS completed their second deadline-busting deal in three days last night when they landed Egil Ostenstad on a free from Blackburn Rovers.

The 31-year-old Norwegian striker passed a medical and signed a one-year deal to join fellow new boy Emerson.

And the club admitted he will be the last signing before the transfer window shuts tonight.

The former Viking Stavanger and Southampton striker said: "It's a great chance for me and I'm determined to take it.

"I was in the reserves at Blackburn and now I have the chance to play in the Champions League."

We could've done better :l

its dried in and no colour change.... stinks though :)

its really up to you, if you were buying a new kit to replace it you aint got anything to lose by trying turps or nail-polish remover... it wont just peel right off, you have to pick at it, but its definately possible.

The Celtic Carling logos aren't the sticker shite but they're hardly much better, that mad suedey stuff that gathers fluff like no one's business.

I agree on Ostenstad, more wage money down the pan, I cannot believe the duff you're signing tbh.

turps will leave an oily residue behind, just gve it a right good soaking in soapy water and it will come out though. good luck.

ahh right i know the stuff, yeah i have to say i prefer the suede, at lease that doest give the impression of cracking after like 10 washes..

as for another duff signing, well... im not exactly overjoyed but we'll see how he goes before i condemn him

I love the jealousy that our friends from the east of the city are pouring into this thread, canny take it that they signed fook all so all they have to brag about is who we are signing LOL, I see they got their ususal penatly again today but the bottler missed it anyway :-)

United will be in for a good thrashing tomorrow, we should score 5 at least and keep up the 100% record

See I thought this was the Rangers thread, hence I talk about Rangers issues in here - if I wanted to discuss Celtic issues seriously I'd do it in the Celtic thread or the SPL thread.

In all seriousness, no pish-taking here, do you honestly believe your side is as good as last years?

COME ON UNITED!!!!!

Well we made the CL this time so its an improvement on last season, Amoruso is already gifting goals against Blackburn, Berg is much better positionally and his match pace is now almost 100% he will do better, him and Moore will be a strong defence. Ball is showing some great stuff and we aint missing Numan much thanks to him. Midfield we may have lost Bazza but Arteta seems to be able to take care of that, and with Emerson giving is a bit of strength in midfield then yes we are better than last year.

Then we have Vanoli and Capucho who are decent players, once they settle in they will do a great job for us, Nerlinger is showing a bit more as long as he stays injury free, Khinsivilli or whatever also will settle in fine.

Least we have some new players to watch and see how they do, must be boring watching the same set of 15 players season after season at the Piggery, its like a BB show, watching them getting older and slower each passing year
