I wonder how many of you people are comparing it to WE10. A lot of us here do not play the Winning Eleven series, so it would be nice to have some direct comparisons to the xbox version of PES5.

I would also like to know more about the extent of this slowdown. How bad is?

Somebody asked about a demo...
I have played the demo.
In the latest edition of the Belgian OPM there is a demo on the disc that accompanies the magazine.
You can choose five national teams: Brazil - Chech republic - Spain -Italy or France. You play one half in a beautiful new stadium. I rather liked it...it seemed difficult to me. It "felt" otherwise" than PES5, but don't ask me what "otherwise" meant.
On thesame disc there was a demo of FIFA07 and i liked it aswell...PES is still the better game, but FIFA is coming closer. I'm thinking about buying both games (there goes my street credibility).

Edit: OOPS...posted this in the wrong thread...of course it was a PS2 demo that i played and this is an XBox thread...

Ive Just noticed one ever so slight improvement
Player ratings seem to be a tad more realistic
Im just checking through most teams now and the majority of players seem to be realistically rated.

iam still getting the game and i cant wait, iam infuriated about the aspects that have been cut out but i will get over it. Most of the teams in the game are licensed anyway. the biggest disapointments are the fact that there are only eight stadiums and you cant edit team names and kits.

Anyone else feel like they've spent a night dropping soap in the showers of a prison full of jailed ex-pornstars? I do, what av Konami done! They've done to me footy loving gamers what George Lucas did to Star Wars lovers with those lame prequels. It looks like my PS2 isn't quite ready for retirement yet. It's gonna have a solid year of gameplay with PES 6, because I aint buying the 360 version. If I want to drool over simply visuals then I'll get Fifa instead, simple as. I hope the 360 version takes a hell of a whack in sales, and show Konami they can't bugger their fans like that!

does anyone else find it pathetic that with less than a week to go there are hardly any reviews on the web, alos has anyone got any information on when a pes6 review will be featured in a 360 magazine.

I'd buy PES on 360 in a heart beat if I didn't own my old buddy the pS2. The GP is the same in both anyway, so my PS2 is getting a reprieve from the attack for a year. I CANNOT play a solid year of PES WITHOUT the abiulity to tweak and edit and transfer players etc (espeically as my boys the Villa will already certainly be out of date). For graphical ogling I'll go with Fifa, even though the GP will most certainly pale in comparison to PES. I get the gameplay on the PS2 with PES (After all, the PS2 controllers are PES perfection and I'm not sure I'm ready to go to 360 land with Evo just yet).

Played this at a friends who has a modded firmware 360 and my god... what a dissapointment. Once you get over the HD and widescreen, after about 2 minutes you realise that it is exactly the same as PES5 but with less features. MUCH less features. Edit mode is only edit player stats and what foot he uses, number etc. Thats it. No bundesliga
And its SLUGGISH.. feels more sluggish than the PS2 version. Also we tried a few games on LIVE and the lag is ridiculous at times. Reminds me of PES5 on the Xbox. And theres no lobbies.
So dissapointed and cancelled my preorder.

well I couldn't be arsed to read through all the pages, but i get the drift that edit mode is missing, and a few stadiums... do you think Konami are planning on doing an EA on us and selling us them back as Xbox live downloads? because it's really shitty thing to do if that's the case?

i'm glad i am not alone with regards to the 360 controller, i get sick of ppl who keep saying i'm a tard because i don't like the 360 controller.

i DO like the 360 controller just not for PES/WE.

i use the d-pad and i just find the d-pad on the ps2 perfect, also the buttons on the dualshock are more suitable for PES/WE imho.

i think it's going to take awhile before i get upto scratch using the 360 controller, a few of the games i've lost on Live were because i missed some shots i would normally nail in my sleep. It really sux losing to some guy when you have 5 times as many shots and all the posession only to lose/draw because the shooting is harder with the 360 controller.

of course the controller alone does not make up for the sluggish response in the actual game, which is even worse on live.

looks i'll be spending the majority of my 360 time with nba2k7 when that's released.....a true next-gen title that rocks.

amazingly i can't retire my ps2 just yet....WE10 still the one!!!!

u have two options in game

ranking match for points

and player match ie a friendly, no points

player match allows u to have 1 more option other than time 5, 10 15 and wot team and that option is allow friends...wot this does is allows u to have as many games with ur `friend` as u wish, you can also rematch strangers


ranked match is for points , 1 off games with something at stake, u can still play ur friends but to stop ppl climbing leaderboard as in pes5loads of games with no losses,after full time the server boots u and u have to do it all again.

For anyone wondering - apparently the shirt tucking etc is an option in the edit player options. They dont change ingame but its better than nothing.

To people who have it.........Is 2v2 online an option like in Xbox PES5.... I mean only one 360 each but 2 on each machine

well and truly gutted...my ps2 packed up and iv'e pre-ordered pes6 for my xbox360 however after reading all these comment from people who have played it, i'm seriously thinking about cancelling

iv'e got fifa on order aswell, and i'm loving the demo to bits

My Ps2 packed up a few week ago and i was gona leave but am glad i got it fixed now.So i cancelled my 360 version and am sticking with WE10

I have played 20+ games now some on live including a 7-0 win :) and I still stand by its more sluggish than PS2 Version, its as I and Kezz said in the other thread its as there is a delay of 5ms when you click the button it may be the wireless connection but I don't feel that way with PES5 so why should it be that??

I don't want to sound negative but its definately not the same play as PES6 on the PS2, I know the controller will be a part but its the gameplay thats not quite there for me.

i cant believe this i am MR PRO EVO and i have the ps2 version and its wicked, but i just cant understand why konami have done this on the xbox360. this is supposed be a next gen console so why on earth have gone back to the dark ages. but i guess that sum super man or women will come up with somthing but what the hell I AM STILL GETTING IT COME THE 27th and if i dont like it ill just play my ps2 HAPPY DAYS

the gameplay feels slugish?
Answer: Maybe, but if you controll a star player, there is no lag, he does what you tell him to do. But when you are controling another player, Gatusso for example, it feels slugish, is that realistic? You bet your ASS it is.
So my opinion is that, it is good to be that way, havent played we10, the last one i played was the pc korean version, cant remeber the name.
Lag on live?
In 10 games i havent sufferd any lag(maybe with shoting it is noticable, as the power bar rises up quickly, whic means, that alot of your efforts go over the bar
Slowdowns?
Not annoying, dont even notice it, usually it stutters before the ball is in play, and when it is passed (from GK or CK) it doesnt stutter anymore
Will i buy it?
I have never bought a pes game (cant afford it), so how could you afford x360, you will ask. Well actualy it fell from the truck(if you know what that expression means

only a little and its not that bad (nothing like the old xbox and PS2 PES5 games), however there are only a few people on it at the moment so lets see next weekend.
