Heracles celebrate their win over RKC Waalwijk

Managed to make it through to the semi-finals with a brilliant victory over RKC Waalwijk. I beat them 1-0 at home with a free-kick goal from Sluijter. Then went away to beat them 2-1...Tamerus opened the match from a header assisted by Quansah, 2 minutes later a cross from Sluijter was deflected of Teixeira to score and unlucky own goal. Van de Haar pulled one back but it was too late. In the semi-final I’m facing B. M’gladbach, which will be a tough match.

Round 1 Results
B. M’gladbach 2-1 Sparta Rotterdam
RKC Waalwijk 1-3 Heracles Almelo
Vitesse 2-1 FC Twente
FC Groningen 1-5 FC Koln

Semi-Finals
B. M’gladbach vs. Heracles Almelo
Vitesse vs. FC Koln

Players

Hellings lets one fly!

My most inform play is probably Hellings, his played well in the middle of the park and has let off a few screamers from long range, but his yet to score one. Quansah and Sluijter have been solid for me in wide area and Jansen been consistent in his RB position. The other players have been decent.

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

Makinwa is a good player Prof, but Palermo have a problem with scoring goals.
So far 4 matches and one goal by Carraciolo.
In the last two matches my forwards (Makinwa, Carraciola and the one i created myself IRL Lokeren forward Hakim Bouchouari) haven't had a singlo shot on goal although Palermo was the better team.

Udinese - Palermo 0-0
Palermo - Parma 0-0

I'm quite hooked on this ML...oh i wish i could find out who you guys insert these photo's...after searching a long time i fianlly created myself two nice pink avatars...and to think that Db changes them every day...i really am from the paleolithicum.

About Bouchouari.
He is a 26 year old Moroccan Belgian or Belgian Moroccan who i saw play nine years ago when i went with my current father in law to a match in the village where he lives (and where i'm living now). The team of my village is like a Conference team in England and is really bad, but this young guy was something special. At the end of the season he was trasferred to a fourth division club and then i lost track of him. Now he finally got his transfer to a first division club and he's turning out to be the next big thing (in Belgium of course Chelsea has players with his talent polishing the boots of their fifth team bench players).
I couldn't resist in creating him and taking him to Palermo...

Here is a picture of him:

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

I imagine he's 27 or 28 now though Stan? I mean if you saw him 10 years ago he probably wasn't less than 16 right so i guess he's at least 26 years old and that means he wont be next BIG thing but he's a pretty goood player from your words I assume and I wish him luck :).

As for DeniroBob, and Prof, I have no idea where you guys search for these pics and would be so happy if I could find out where. I mean you seem to get exactly what you want like a certain player in airport if you want or Robert sitting somewhere all lonely when others are talking ;) and now this unique celebration :D!

Is there a trick or place we don't know? all i know is google and gettyimages and even then they dont give me the pics i want really, just whatever they have and I can never find a player's pic for example in airport or a public place unless theyr'e really famous.

Please englighten the newbs of internet like me :)

Finally some goals in Palermo, although not much...

Palermo - Olympiakos 1-1 (Codrea and Rivaldo) MOTM: Codrea delightfull player.

Sampdoria Genua - Palermo 0-1 a goal in second half injury time by Caraciolo.

I really like the Romanian DMF Codrea...a skillfull player with good passing abilities and a good shot.

Palermo are currently 6th in the Mediterranean division One.

I do what Db does, which is going into fans sites and finding some candid pictures of players that the fans probably took themselves. Apart from that there are loads of unofficial sites you can go to and official ones.

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

Changes in Santander

There have been some mayor changes at Racing Club Santander during the winter-negotiations. The club wasnt able to keep starplayer Mobaali, who has signed a 3-years during contract at Real Madrid. Also Streller has shown the club his back. The player didnt want to sign a new contract at Santander and bought his half-year during contract off. But Santander under lead by coach GFK did good business with the sell of Mobaali to Real Madrid cause Santander got Guti as player in trade back. Also 39-year old striker and friend of GFK, Roger Milla has been contracted for the rest of the season.

GFK on the contracted players:
''Its a pity we loose such a great player like Mobaali, but if I am realistic its nothing more then normal. He was having such a great season and I wish him all the best at Real Madrid''

On Roger Milla GFK had the following to say:
''Ah Roger Milla, an old friend of me and still in great condition. After the mysterious lost of Streller I needed an striker directly but there werent any of the level of Streller, but Rogger Milla is. I am really happy he is willing to help Santander for the next half-year to make this one of the best seasons for Santander.''

Santander is currently placed 5th. Europe is calling Santander cause the number 6 has 6 points less.

Roger Milla and his everlasting smile.

Quito Quitter

Lobaton turns up in Ecudaor and blasts French

el_loco.jpg

Troubled Peruvian hitman Abel Lobaton surfaced 3000 metres above sea level today having signed a two year deal with SD Aucas.

Having walked out on a week's trial with FC Metz, he branded the modest French club a disgrace, and in particular saved his most vehment attack for their midfield star Abdelnasser Ouadah who he referred to simply as a "cocharacha".

"He assaulted my name, my family and my reputation. I tell you I won't stand for it, that cockroach should of been stamped on long ago"

With both players seemingly unwilling to let the incident rest, it is possible that either UEFA or FIFA will have to step in to defuse the war of words between the two aggrieved parties, before matters get out of hand.

N.C.E. Div2 Cup Update

0506uhee_4.jpg

Heracles players celebrate their win over
B. M’gladbach, to get to the final

Well i've made it into the final of Div2 Cup, heres how i got there. Walk with me...

The first leg was away...went into the match confident that i could get a result. Played well, had a lot of possession, my players put 110% into the match.....lost 1-0 to a freekick goal by Oliver Neuville! :|

Second leg was to get two goals and not conceed any...went 1-0 down to a Sonck goal in the 7th minute! Okay this is getting annoying! So i thought i was out of the cup, so i decided to GO ALL OUT, went to the formation screen and put it to all attack. Few minutes later i leveled the game with a headed goal buy Tamerus...another few minutes later i socred another headed goal by Tamerus, assisted by Jansen...okay this is getting interesting. In the 77th minute Kamphuis brought down Tamerus outside the box...Jansen stepped up, positioned himself (you know whats coming) curled the ball right past the keeper...3-1....just need to get another goal...This is starting to get obvious  in the last few minutes after some faild attempts on goal, the subsitute Calincov, was in the left-wing, went in on goal, got tripped down by a defender PENALTY...Tamerus stepped up and put the ball in the back of the net...4-1. Through to the fianl. True Story 8)

Semi-Final Result
B. M’gladbach 2-4 Heracles Almelo
Vitesse 0-2 FC Koln

Final
FC Koln vs. Heracles Almelo

Great match Stringer...those kind of matches are really fantastic....even if in the end you don't go through, they can be very satisfying...
But you went true...with probably the weakest team in the game...very good.

Good luck for the final (Köln should be a piece of cake after Gladbach)

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

New manager's Gerd DK's Palermo is prospering in the mediteranean division one.

Palermo is proving to be techically skilled team that can play a kind of possession football very unfamiliar for his new coach, but he's adapting.

The game in the Stadio Olimpico saw a very confident Palermo team face AS Roma. Palermo started the match playing a technical and attractive football wit very good ball circulation. After 22 minutes Mutarelli scored a fantastic goal. 10 minutes later Roma equalised (undeserved) by an equally fantastic Totti free kick. The second half both teams held each other in balance.

AS Roma - Palermo 1-1 (Mutarelli, Totti) MOTM: Mutarelli

The subsequent home match against Panathinaikos proved to be a difficult one since Makinwa and Corea had to play for their country and other striker Caraciolo was injured. So Gerd DK played with two forwards who never have played in the same team: young Pepe and the new recruit Bouchouari who made his debut in a home match. After 11 minutes veteran Corini gave a fine pass to Pepe who played it laterally to Bouchouari: 1-0 and Bouchouari's first goal for his new team. Once again US Palermo was the better team throughout the match. In injury time Corini doubled the advantage after a Bonnani assist.

US Palermo - Panathinaikos 2-0 (Bouchouari, Corini) MOTM: Corini (8,5).

US Palermo are currently 6th after 8 matches.
Milan lead the table with a 100% score of 24 points...
Juventus are second with 17 points.

Anyways hope you get all the luck you need in the final against Podolski and co.

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

FENERBAHCE - US PALERMO 2-2

After a very spectacular match, Palermo came away with a point from Istanbul.
The Sicilyan outfit took the lead early on in the first half with long range shot by midfield workhorse Simone Barone.

The fans saw a very offensive match with end to end play and much action in the box. After 34 minutes Palermo defender Christian Zaccardo pulled Macio down in the Palermo box: yellow card for Zaccardo and a penalty for Fenerbahce. Alex converted the penalty.

Six minutes later Fener was leading after a very intelligent corner movement. Alex let the ball true thus causing confusing among the Palermo defense: Macio took the ball in volley and scored a very good goal...

In the second half Palermo attacked relentlessly and after 75 minutes the logical equaliser came when free kick specialist Fabio Grosso swerved a ball over the wall and out of reach of Rustu Recber. Afterwards both teams came close to victory but in the end the 2-2 was a just result for two attacking teams.

Palermo Gerd DK was deligthed with the good performance of the team and that without key players like Codrea and Makinwa.

Palermo are currently 8th in the mediterrenean first division. After 9 matches Milan still have an 100% score of 27 points.
Next match is a cup tie against Parma.

PS: i was really over the moon with the free kick goal...i remember a Beckham goal from Professor Nutmeg (the demo???)...it was a similar goal and i would never have thought myself capable of doing something like that...

Heracles Almelo Transfer News

Swerts.jpg

A snapshot of Swerts dressed casualy, heading to Heracles training ground.

Heracles Almelo has signed Vittese midfielder, Swerts, on a free contract. The player has arrived at the clubs training ground this afternoon to put pen to paper on a 3 year contract.

Swerts (CM/DM/SM/SB) is a 24 year old, Belgian midfielder who has previously played for Feynoord and had a loan spell at Ado Den Haag. He has had an unsettled time at Vittese and was let go on a free after him and the club decided to terminate his contract.

This will be the fourth club in the space of two years Swerts will play in and is hoping to flourish in the club.
-
In other news Hoogma and Maas both decided that they will stay at the club for another season, despite the club lowering there wages.

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

Congratulations Prof and good luck...Alavés are not in the toughest group..so everything is possible.

For Palermo scoring remains a problem. Uptil now the team only lost one match (the first against Juventus), but hey are only ninth in the first Mediterranean division, courtesy of a long serie of draws.

Parma - US PALERMO 1-1 (Corradi - Bouchouari) (first tier of Cup)
Palermo - Internazionale 1-1 (Cruz - Brienza)
Messina - Palermo 0-0
US PALERMO - Parma 0-0 (and qualified for the next round)

Next match is against Fiorentina.
Until now the best player of the team is 35 year old Corini.
Palermo has problems when there are mid-week matches or international fixtures.
The squad is not big enough, but money is scarce...(started with 5000 PES and the budget for my team is 12.500 PES...).

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

Yes it will Prof, but that 'll be something for themid-season interval.
After my Standard mishap i will be more cautious this time...i will be searching for a player who can play at different positions and who has high stamina...

PS and off-topic: is Weapon of Choice a real band??? Never heard of it. I like P-Funk (once saw a marathon gig by George Clinton & Funkadelic: greatb dance music)

Heracles Almelo Master League Season 2006 (End of Season)

0506ttwente_5.jpg

Last match of the season ends in a frustrating draw

N.C.E. Super League Div2

Managed to get a few wins under my belt, 3 exactly, however it was a better season for me by finishing 6th. But I only scored 6 goals though, which still is a improvement.

1. Sparta Rotterdam..30
2. B. M’gladbach.......24
3. FC Koln................23
4. FC Groningen.......20
5. RKC Waalwijk.......20
6. Heracles Almelo.....14
7. FC Twente..............13
8. Vitesse...................10

League Top Scorer: Podolski (B. M’gladbach) 7
League Top Assistor: Berg (Sparta Rotterdam) 6

N.C.E. Div2 Cup

Heracles Almelo 0-1 FC Koln

Didn’t manage to go all the way in the cup. Lost 1-0 to Koln from a Schindzielorz goal in the 67th, which I have to say was a good one, scored from about 20 meters out. Wasn’t really bothered though because I was getting 800 for finishing runner-up, which gives me some added income I need. Also Tamerus finished top scorer in the cup with 3 goals. 8)

Players

My best player of the season is Hellings, was brilliant in midfield all season. Only 22 so his got a lot of improving to and can become a quality player, I can already hear the big clubs money truck parking up. Also my other players played decent. Obviously each player had his moments in my team, but it’ll be to LONG to go through all of them!

Transfers

IN:

Swerts (Vitesse) ----------> Heracles Almelo – Free (3 year contract)

Swerts will be the replacement of Maas, when he retires and should be my key player in DM for the future. His a CM who can play as a DM, SM and SB…so his pretty versatile. I probably play him as a DM, who’ll protect the two CBs.

Olsson (NEC Nijmegen) ------------> Heracles Almelo – Free (3 year contract)

Another free player I snapped up. Olsson is a 22 year old Swedish CB, who can give me an extra option at the back. His got a good balance (currently 90) and is 195cm meters tall, so his got the ability of decent defender.

Olsson in the Hercales ground, on the day of signing for the club.

Yup, WOC is a real band. If you like Funkadelic et al :freak: you may well like these guys. I recommend "Nutmeg Sez Bozo The Town" (their debut album) or Highperspice. :joker:

Heracles draw against leaders, FC Groningen to go third in the league

N.C.E. Super League Div2

Things are starting to look good for me in the league. I’ve won 3, drawn 3 and only lost once so far. I’m currently 3rd in the league and I’ve got a good chance of getting promoted this season. Just need to get Tamerus scoring more goals, which can decide matches…I’ve only score 5 goals in the league up to now.

1.FC Groningen......17
2.Willem II.............12
3.Heracles Almelo...12
4.Vitesse..................11
5.RBC Roosendaal....9
6.FC Koln................6
7.RKC Waalwijk......5
8.FC Twente.............2

League Top Scorer: Redan (Willem II) 5
League Top Assister: Lindgren (FC Groningen) 3

N.C.E. Div2 Cup

Made it through the Semi-finals again, beat RBC Roosendaal 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in normal time.

Round 1 Result
RKC Waalwijk 2-0 Vitesse
Willem II 1-2 FC Koln
FC Twente 1-2 FC Groningen
Heracles Almelo 1-1 RBC Roosendaal (3 P.K. 1)

Semi-Final
RKC Waalwijk vs. FC Koln
FC Groningen vs. Heracles Almelo

Players

Hellings is still on fire in midfield and Reekers has been a rock in defense with Van Steensel. Also Swerts has settled in nicely, his replaced Maas as DMF, since he can’t play the full 90 now a day, but comes on as a substitute and does a good job.

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

Anyone find it hard to buy players ?

Im trying to buy Joaquin and Martins and I have had bids of 18000 turned down, what kind of point are we looking at to buy players ?

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

As a matter of fact i will looking for a utility player with hig stamina Prof...
Currently i'm in the mid-season interval with US PALERMO.

The last results:

US PALERMO - Fiorentina 1-0
(the computer sees it as an own goal but i consider it a Bouchouari goal, for once one my forwards scores...) MOTM: Brienza

Lazio Roma - US Palermo 0-0
The result says it all, the worst match of the season so far.

AC Milan - US Palermo 0-0
Now this was an entirely different 0-0. The first points an impressive Milan loose this season. And Palermo could have won it (although that would not have been deserved). They have made Milan sooo strong in PES5.

Panathinaikos - US Palermo 0-0
First leg of the second round of the Cup.
Very good match by Palermo, but scoring is sooo difficult.
18 shots on goal (Panathinaikos 2) and 65% of ball possession and still no goal...but a good result in an away match.

Manager Gerd DK is very satisfied with an 8th place in the ranking at midseason interval. US Palermo has only lost one match: the first against Juventus. But as already told: scoring proves very difficult.

Most valuable players: Corini, Codrea, Bonani and Baroni.

I'm really hooked on this ML. Perhaps the one i enjoyed most since playing PES. What a shame that i don't know much about Italian football.

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

Well I'm glad you're enjoying it Stan perhaps the fact that I think you said you don't really know Palermo that well in real life and their players however is helping you enjoy it more.

Because I've had a look at their squad and there is some serious stat tweaking needed here for ME before I can enjoy an ML like this.

Fabio Grosso, Terlizzi, Zaccardo, Simone Barone, Franco Brienze, Ferri are just a few that really need to be made accurate and aren't right now.

But either way happy to hear you're hooked on this ML and keep reporting back, will be glad to read :)

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

Yeah, the less you know about a team the more interesting it gets.

I wouldn't wanna play as Arsenal because i'm a fan of them and there is know why i want to sell some of the players...maybe Pascal lol.

But yeah it's fun to play as a team you don't know about.

It could be what ranking you are in the ML, you know that WEFA Ranking thing.

Or maybe the clubs are greedy :D

Re: The All New PES5 Master League Thread.

I guess your right Stringer...i will also search for good unknown Italian players. And most Italian players are unknwown to me (apart those from Milan, Juventus, Inter and Roma...)
PLF: you make me curious, what about these players are they underestimated by Konami...someone already said that Caraciolo is way too good (i hope he is, but he's constantly injured)...
I have to rotate contstantly because after two matches players are exhausted. Maybe that isn't very realistic, but the challenge is bigger...
