PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Ok, a lot of my good feeling about PES2010 just vanished after watching that. The pinball passes are still there, how can a first time lay-off travel at the exact same speed as a normal pass and find a team-mate *every* time with laser precision. Why is every pass mathematically perfect in speed and direction, as well as the fact it feels like they are playing on a marble floor rather than a grass football pitch, as every pass is flat to the ground like a bowling ball. This has been the worst thing about PES on next-gen, in the old games passing was a joy, in that video it looks like more of the same. Same physics, same animation, same ridiculous accuracy.

The only plus for me was the long pass physics, which looked absolutely bang on and far better than FIFA, the ball seems to have weight and travels at exactly the right speed.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Man, it is too fast.I really hope they'll slow it down a bit or at least they should make speed adjustable

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Adam on WENB said the game he played is nowhere near that fast and that we shouldn't worry.

Take from that what you will.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

what happened to the screens?
they all look bad, no aa
i bet they've been badly resized

Psm3 and the French preview said that too, so it must be real, maybe that is some sort of testing

Those faces are superb.

That's what I said before...
I think the match played on the left monitor does not represent the real speed of the game. That person programs strategies and I think that monitor shows an automatic match ( without playing humans ) to check the way strategies work out. There is also a lot of text and numbers on that screen: Probably debug-info.
If that was the real speed, it would be far too fast.
You guys should listen more to me :D

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

It's obviously a developer build he's using to analyse the impact the tactics system have on the gameplay. I just hope the increased speed is making the passing look so arcade.

Does anyone see improvements in the animation? I see a new passing animation which looks much better than 2008/2009

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Not perfect, that nose is off; the beard is what sells the look.

ironically no beard in this picture

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Very impressed with the slider system.:APPLAUD: I can see the use of going 2 goals up then playing a deep line in the last 10 minutes to hold on. Turning off Messi's incisive run would also add to the defending of the team as a whole and encourage him to defend so the cards "in theory" should work.

As for the nets they were definitly Blue/Red (FC Basel/Barcelona) striped, but as Barca have white nets the only option was Basel but their nets are

I love how Carragher has just become more constipated over the course of a year. :D

I agree completely with you. The only thing I like was the new Nets, shapes, colors...However, I am still reserving judgment since I haven't seen them animate on impact. Also the pitch and lighting look superb!

The zoomed in vid gameplay looked very similar to PES2009 in animations, passing, and long balls. I was very underwhelmed.

I am holding out hopes though, since the game is still in working progress.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I would say it compounds how much of a odious individual he is!!

Cant you just see the anguish in his face though, it's like Rafa is spewing so much verbally, poor old Jamie has been left with his bowels in a frozen state of shock.

Because it is just a game, It's not real:YAWN:

Maybe wait for PES2170.

It's funny now how people will only look out for the flaws in PES games now rather than the good old days of noticing the tiniest detail that was new and loving it?!

I long for those days to return:WASTED:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

@Cammey
from that wide camera pic, seems we wont have untucked shirts while playing just like pes2009....u can only see the untucked shirts on replays or cutsenes(check messi on the top right corner)...pityfull;

Totally agree

I think PES is going to be huge step up from the previous rubbish on next gen. the gameplay seen is clearly some testing code, no one is playing it.

You can see much better animation though which is the biggest thing to improve.

Its ridiculous.

Oh and how often do we look at the faces during play.

It's like when he mentioned you could see the hairs on the players arms!?!:FAIL:

Who cares!! I'm not spending £40 to look at a computer rendition of Messi, Torres , Xavi etc to count hairs on the arm and look at sweat freckles, ginger beards blah blah. I'll put a poster on my wall if i want that.

I want a football simulation with the option of managment and manager movement like player movement. Reshaped Master League,BAL, Third kits,Mix kits, more stadiums more editing, more teams worldwide, more leagues more more more

Looking pretty is a bonus

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

They could say that about untucked shirts/nets/etc,etc.But it all matters to somebody.I just hope they do well to shut up the prophets of doom.Does'nt matter if it's Fifa or Pes someone will find major faults in both.
