Not an ingame video in sense of gameplay, but you see a well animated Messi close up shooting animation, and some tactic setting screens with focus on card system an sliders!

To me looks quite promising.

dumb ratings caught my eye again - Messi is 82 , ok they really need to dump this idea with overall rating, it doesn't tell the truth

apart from that - closeup graphics, and shooting animation especially - literally KILLS, that's what I call nextgen

really lookin forward to it now.

I definitely saw dark (black?) nets. Maybe we can choose the colours and types? Or each stadiums have there own nets/colors.

I just would like they to fix all that shit they shown us in the latest 2 years (on next gen console). That shitty run animation, the gameplay... I don't want to be obliged to play the almost perfect PS2 version again.

Let's hope.

Dammit, so frustrating to see the gameplay right there on the screen to the left and not being able to see it clearly enough to judge.

I think ratings would make sense (Henry 66 for example) if the ratings change depending on the position you place a player.
Maybe Henrys rating would be over 80 if placed as a middle striker instead of a side striker like in the video.
(Maybe Messi's rating over 90 placed as OMF ?)

That would make kind of sense to me.

The fact that they are allowing press in to see how it's moving on is a good sign for me,but then after 2009 it could be expected.Please let the be a strong tackle card in there.

If u look at 5:58 you will see the nets are white and red, not just plain white and also no sandbags and a back line.

I don't think they are white mate. It's dark. Just check the white back line and compare it with the nets.

The Messi animation is quality, if the rest of the generic non-Messi animations are up to that standard then it could be the revolution we need.

Also the thought of different colour nets without sandbags is making me froth at the mouth.

The tactics look really well implemented, my biggest concern is that you will be able to press for the entire match without any affect on stamina, like in FIFA 09, but one thing they are usually good at is the strategic side of the game.

Generally, if I see a video related to PES that doesn't have any worrying or disturbing elements then I consider it a positive thing and that video (maybe just because we couldn't understand what was being said!) looks like the game may be moving in the right direction.

I think people are underplaying the importance of the new tactics/strategy system as well, FIFA 09 had this and it added a lot of depth to the game so it's vital PES has it this year, even more important than multiplayer game modes or 360 degree dribbling, for example.

Lately I've been playing PES6 and it's still quite enjoyable, that to me suggests Konami don't need to introduce full manual and advanced control systems to win people back, at least not this year, they just need to re-capture the magic of the old games but within the context of a true next-gen title.

Decent video, Messi animation looks very good, his shorts don't bulk up too which is good.

I hope this isn't the last in house video they release.

The video is a bit short in everything. Seabass looks like he's in a funeral, shouldn't he be trying to win the spectators? His attitude was horrible during the whole thing.

The kicking animation looks great in the close-up, but let's see how all things look like in a wide cam.

The thing that made me a little suspicious is the "gameplay" monitor on the flet. Things seem to happen way too fast in that screen. I really hope it's not an indication of the final pace of the game.

Please don't search for flaws on the strength because it does not make sense.It is highly likely that your theory obout PES 2010 will be different.

not sure it definitely looks red / white nets and a white back to me, but its very small to view.

I guess you quoted me by mistake, because I don't get what you're saying. I only stated that the kicking animation was superb but feared the pace of the gameplay monitor on the left. I'm not stating any theory here, mate.
