Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I can not imagine how Ps magazine could commit such a mistake with Bundesliga.I understand small mistake but those are to BIG!No good Ps magazine, not good :FAIL:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Was it not PSM3 that said the Bundesliga was in?

Konami could try and approach the individual teams, like they did with the Serie A teams.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

It might not be a great deal not having the original bundesliga, but quite franky i am pretty fed up with playing the same leagues. I'd love to see southamerica teams, second division teams from the main leagues etc.

The same rosters for years is really dull.

I agree Charlie, although there is a valid argument that PES could lose some of the attention to detail and individuality of players if more and more leagues were added. Still, the game does need to expand. I would love to see the Portuguese Superliga (we already have 3 Portuguese stadia in Pes2009), Turkish Superliga, Russian Premier League and Super League Greece. Leagues from Argentina and Brazil would be a great addition, but what I would love the most is if Konami went out and got the Copa Libertadores license. Now that would be awesome.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

@Drekkard You make excellent points and I agree whole-heartedly on the collision detection as I have mentioned the same problems myself.

I agree that there is waaay too little control on crossing. You can only really pass in 8 directions relative to the kicker on PES that is where the CPU takes over and places the ball.
But what if I told you that it is better this way. I played against a mate a few months back and was runnign down the flank with Henry. I used the Manual long pass method and accidently sent a cross in that was too close to the keeper, looped over his head and hit the inside of the post on the way in. I immediately claimed to have done it on purpose off course, just as I am sure Henry would have done.

On another occassion and this time with Daniel Alves (apologies for using Barcelona that much) I managed to get a ball that was cleared from a corner. I decided that the box was packed so I'ld send a cross in from the deep on the right. The ball missed all my target men and landed inside the goalposts with the Goalkeeper flat footed. This is football man!!

I do not want everything to be manual if it isn't implemented to give you an accident or two. No player in the world passes the ball 100%.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'd prefer if they added 2nd divisions to the league's they already have.

That is correct, in the PSM3 article features the Bundesliga mentioned as an addition.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Sandbags are out :D

The running animations looks the same... very poor

well mate it has been stated like a billion times that this build had no mocap included. ;)

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Bundesliga Licence does not mean licences for the single teams

i am afraid unlike other leagues the german teams somehow gave up their rights of "self marketing" regarding this sort of license issue, means either you get them all officially under the bundesliga name or none at all.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'm sorry mate I don't follow PES for the last year now. I hope Konami will suprise me (us ;)))

no prob, just wanted to clear it up. nothing is lost (yet). let's keep our faith a little longer. and btw i am not defending the lazy work konami has put out over the past 3 years, i am just saying that things look at least promising this year. this of course only if the 50% build stuff is not complete bullshit.

what i am wondering - why do you actually photoshoot torres without carlsberg on the shirt when it is featured ingame anyway? was it an exclusive shoot for french psm? i know they have strict regulations about advertising alcoholic beverages, but the logo is there in the screenshots! :D

Until now pes 2010 sounds/seems promising. At least add the new animations in and I think I'm sold.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Is there any chance of translating most important things from those scans?

Ball pysics near perfection, photorealistic faces, already way better than 2008 and 2009.

In comparison with Fifa they say it could be a more enjoyable game because of the responsiveness, the ball physics and the excitement of the play. But maybe less simulation than fifa.

My french is not the best though.

Well thats cleared that up then.

Could Konami not approach teams from the Bundesliga individually with regard
to licensing them like they do with Bayern Munich and had done in pes2009 with the Spanish league?

Could get round EA's monopoly....

Like i stated earlier. What about Bayern?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

- The journalist can’t stop playing, always asking for “one last game, one last game.” Would play until his fingers bled!
- Defender can do bicycle kick in defense
- New move, in french “aile de pigeon” http://media.melty.fr/media--image-160202-article-ajust_650.jpg
- New chest control with orientation
- Ball physics = simply perfection !
- Photo- realistic faces (the journalist thought the Messi and Torres pics were photoshoped… only to see its like that in-game)
- With all managerial settings you can be Mourinho, cards systems etc..
What will be done in the last 40% of development?
- New visual filter not added yet, for more realism of shadows, lights, colors etc.. but it’s already great
- New commentators (for French) official chants, better public reactions, balls impact
- A lot of new animations and better transitions and stars personal moves.
- New AI for goalkeeper, position, reflex for referee too.
- Tactics on freekick
- PK system not yet finish on the 60% version, better analogic control and effect on the ball

HE AIN'T SHINING SHOES?!!!

Looks a bigger office though.

For the first time in a while i'm getting a "little" excited about a PES game coming out. But i'll not get carried away and i'll remain quietly optimistic.

Hopefully the change of man at the helm reinvents the wheel.

Assuming this statement is true of 2010, I hope everybody else feels a little more excited now.

Tactics on freekicks? Sweet!

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

@ Drekkard and Zeemeister - I think we are all seeing the same problems but like Zeemiester I probably prefer some scripting over full manual everything.

TBH If goalie logic is sorted I am fine with PES shooting (much prefer it to FIFA irregardless of what underlying technology is used to reproduce it) - Running should be totally free imo (ala FIFA) and crossing should be closer to long passing.

Also while speed and balance is somewhat over compensated in PES my main gripe with FIFA is that attributes dont seem to play a big enough part in differentiating players - It is usually speed and thats it.

Not expecting the world this fall but hopefully an improved game on all fronts - ML, BAL and online

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Like i stated earlier. What about Bayern?

that's a very good question indeed, haven't thought about that one.

no idea, we'll see. i'd be very happy with 18 "fake" teams for germany allready...
