Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread
Maybe this is a problem in demo version, full game version will work...I think.

With all the build up and discussion around the stunning visuals and overhauled Master League, there's one new feature in PES 2010 that has slipped under the radar. The Community Mode.
An expansion on the Memorial Matches of old, this new mode is capable of creating custom league and cup competitions with all your mates while keeping track of all the stats amongst other things.
At first glance through the game, it would appear that Konami have removed all the custom cup and leagues from the main mode, but after further investigation they are now located within Community Mode allowing people to create cups with a mixture of club and national sides and fully editable line-ups.
There's enough space to register 32 of your closest PES playing buddies and the game will keep track of all matches and allow you to compare and finally end debates over who is the best player. One of the nice little additions I noticed was the ability for each user to have their own button config(we all have that friend who likes switching the buttons around).
Definitely one of the best additions this year in my book.

Dude I have been playing PES/WE for 12 years and have NEVER had a problem were I have not been able to notice the difference between players on wide cam. What are you lot talking about? Sure I understand the LOD story but it's not as bad as you are making it. You can see the difference in technique, first touch and running animations no matter how limited it's been.
Hang on so Untucked shirts are not on wide cam?
That really is ridiculous.
Untucked shirts is the only thing that lets you recognize players ???
Im also surprised because i can perfectly recognize every single player in the demo on wide cam without looking at name. They look so different i can't understand your problem.
Dude, i have been playing PES/WE for that long too, since WE3, so what? The LOD on the ps2 was ages better than the current one...and i think u just didnt get me...
With the current LOD settings(since PES2009) all the players have basically the same body/Kit style on the wide camera, its that awful.. im not talking about stats or any of this, purely about how it looks(to me that matters a lot, since it takes away the feeling ure really controling the real player)
Ps: Just take a close look at this Europa League video, check out minute 1:36s and ull see what im on about, notice how Perrotta(#20) will change his body magicanly once he walks away from the camera...its disgracefull, all the players recive the same body type.
Anyway i do not have any problems with recognizing players
Ofcourse not being able to see untucked shirts on wide cam is stupid, but im not so tucked-untucked shirts fetishist so it doesn't bother me that much ;P
Wtf?
I don't want to judge from these youtube videos. Is this the case on PES2009 too. I've been trying to stay away from it to build up to PES2010 but I want to test your theory.
Completely agree. I play on wide-cam, and have NEVER had a problem recognising a player on PES. As for the untucked shirt, I really couldnt care less, thats the very least of my concerns personally.
I have the game, and the tricks are bloody hard to pull.
Kicking is totally random, it matters very little where you are aiming to. Sometimes, the shots turn to be very very weak.
Responsiveness is leagues behind Fifa.
The game is beautiful and fluid, though.
Played the Online demo for PES2010. The game is crap online. There is a 2 sec button delay which makes the game unplayable and will cost you wins.
Total Crap! Total Failure and unacceptable!
Gameplaywise, it plays clunky, robotic and stiff as usual. No improvement at all. These are my views and I am totally underwhelmed. I hope the final version plays as good as it looks in some of the recent vids. If not, I'm doone wasting my time and money on this archaic game.
I am glad there is another alternative to this.
Oh, and one more thing. Infamous automatic tackles and clearances are back. Disgusting!
Peace!
I just played my first online game against someone, i won 1-0 due to the lag causing my opponent to dribble into his own net - im on a 20 meg connection and the lag made it unplayable
