Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

WTF... Konami promised ideal online mode.
PESFAN also said it is perfect ... If Konami live with this illusion that have done their job and there is no lag ... is very bad for us, AND this year.

It's been unbelievably smooth for me every match including 2v2.
A slight pause when a corner is taken, that's it.
As smooth as offline apart from that.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

probably the person your guys playing is having a bad connection or probably your isp have problem..so far many people happy with the online..

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I'm only on a 1-1.5 mb connection, always green, and although I've had a bit of lag at times, generally its been very smooth, even with people on red and yellow connections. A green to green connection is pretty much like offline play.

As I said the response times should be improved in the final version too.

i never had a match with a green connection, maybe it's because mostly there are english users, who knows

anyway connections with spain it's always bad

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Played the Online demo for PES2010. The game is crap online. There is a 2 sec button delay which makes the game unplayable and will cost you wins.

Total Crap! Total Failure and unacceptable!

Gameplaywise, it plays clunky, robotic and stiff as usual. No improvement at all. These are my views and I am totally underwhelmed. I hope the final version plays as good as it looks in some of the recent vids. If not, I'm doone wasting my time and money on this archaic game.

I am glad there is another alternative to this.

Oh, and one more thing. Infamous automatic tackles and clearances are back. Disgusting!

Peace!

100% agreed. And people said I was delusional for bashing it :PIG:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I have a fine connection as well. Only green connections and no lag nor button-delay.
@Jflores, you found the connection unacceptable: According to your profile you are from the USA. Maybe that explanes it ;)
What upload and ping do you have? Just test it overhere:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

"it's your connection's fault!" argument is a total miss

I for one have no problems with any other games online on PS3, 20Mbit should be enough (FIFA10, COD4, Bad Company, Uncharted 2 and so on)

I played PES5 online the whole year, same goes for PES6 - both were pretty good especially on green bar, yellow was acceptable too.

And now PES2010 - yellow bar is a total disaster (and green is far from perfect), and you won't notice it on yooutube movies because lag comes when you move your player, pass the ball, turn around - there is a delay which ruins everything. They chose wrong netcode for this one (they claimed to use PES6 netcode but it's the one from early Xbox360 PES version, which sucks)

and BTW, some guy from Nottingham already has the game

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

every version of PES i have had has lagged, only game that ever does, ive played in 10 v 10 bap on fifa and had less lagg than pes, they really need to change the servers

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Damn yourself! It is a valid question. Konami promised untucked shirts, BUT WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE UNTUCKED SHIRT OPTION IF THEY WON'T PUT IT IN THE GAMEPLAY BUT ONLY IN REPLAYS AND CUT SCENES.
ARE YOU DENSE OR WHAT? If they promised something that is going to be in the game, then it should be in the game. Only a nonsensical reader would say this is non valid question.
Come on you guys. Are we for the realism or just half realism and jsut take the half baked results when Konami promised otherwise????????????????

Damn, I hate this argument about untucked shirts and runing the reaiism... come on, that should one of the more non-sense quotes I have imagine...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Does anybody know if it is possible to install the game on HDD (like PES2008 and PES2009) on PS3 this year too? And how much space does it takes?

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I agree. Exactly correct. Konami promised this and that, what the hell is wrong with us asking why it was not fully implemented? Do you guys who say it is not important think it's okay to see your players tucked in the gameplay and then magically half the team have untucked shirts suddenly in the replays/cut scenes? PS2 version before had it in the gameplay, why would Konami not fix this? Konami even said they took TWO YEARS to polish this game!!

I am so sick of people saying it "doesn't matter" because any bit of added realism does matter, because we ask that from Konami. Those of you playing on wide cam, do you not think there are many other players who play on closer cam?
And imagine if players wore the same short sleevs, tape color, hair styles, boots... etc. untucked shirts are instrinsicto the gameplay and visuals (realism) of the game. Period.

But the point is why put in a half baked untucked shirt option if it is not going to be in the game, contrary to Konami's promises???

Those of you who criticize my post should let people voice their questions and concerns, dammit. We love PES just as much as you do.

man, its not about untucked shirts or not, but about players looking like themselves on the wide camera... i just cant stand torres having the same style as gerrard...sorry, but im pick... must be because of too much pacthing in my gamer life.

EDIT. just saw that euro league video, its class! cant wait to play it with Everton(Pc version mod)

Easy Tiger, it's hardly a game-breaker is it ?

I'm sure Alex Ferguson's last words before his players go onto the pitch aren't................ 'Hey lads, make sure you untuck your shirts, unless we'll get hammered'.

Yep, unbelievably, Konami did not properly put in the feature despite the fact the option is in the edit option. It is stupid and shows their laziness. FIFA 10 and PES PS2 games have this.
Everybody now realizing from all the videos the untucked shirt option would be useless as Konami did not put it in the actual game. How idiotic would this feeL, your players standing to take a free kick with untucked shirt, then cut to gameplay angle, everybody's tucked in again! Then replay of a goal, half the team are untucked again. Christ! Konami.
SIMPLE PROBLEM TO FIX. BUT NOOOOOOO, THEY SCREWED UP AGAIN. NO WONDER FIFA IS SO POLISHED DESPITE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS.

:TTTH:

Hang on so Untucked shirts are not on wide cam?

That really is ridiculous.

Agree 100% with you mate!:APPLAUD:
We all know that there are more important issues but why to put an option (edit mode) that will not be seen during gameplay?
Then there are so many important players with untucked shirt (Rooney, Drogba, Torres , Messi, Ronaldinho, Totti, C.Ronaldo, Ballack, Buffon etc...)I think a shirt is not something so little that we can ignore...we are not asking to see rings(over the hands) from normal camera but a SHIRT...C'mon...I believe it was more correct to not put this option if it is actually so hard to make that watchable during gameplay...Of course I know there are more important issues :WORSHIP:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Well just played my first game online against someone from Scandanavia. He beat me 3-1, he was Barcelona and I was Liverpool. Close game, and he got the 3rd in the last minute. He had a yellow connection and I had a green. Absolutely no lag whatsoever, ran perfect, seemed quicker than the PES 2010 demo :CONFUSE:

It doesnt really get any smoother than that. Really enjoyed that game, I was on the edge of my seat, screaming at the T.V. after Kuyt missed two sitters, although he was on a 'blue'. Torres came very close with a lob to finish off a 10 pass move. Managed to pull of a couple of the new cheeky feints as well. They worked a treat.

On 72 minutes I pushed all the attacking related sliders up looking for the equaliser and got caught cold on the counter. Xavi sprayed a 40 yard ball wide to Messi who broke free and slotted it home with ease with 90 minutes on the clock.

No arguments from me.

.......Just wish I had have untucked my shirts, it might have been a different story.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I think this will help when having mates over for multi-player leagues and cups.

With all the build up and discussion around the stunning visuals and overhauled Master League, there's one new feature in PES 2010 that has slipped under the radar. The Community Mode.

An expansion on the Memorial Matches of old, this new mode is capable of creating custom league and cup competitions with all your mates while keeping track of all the stats amongst other things.

At first glance through the game, it would appear that Konami have removed all the custom cup and leagues from the main mode, but after further investigation they are now located within Community Mode allowing people to create cups with a mixture of club and national sides and fully editable line-ups.

There's enough space to register 32 of your closest PES playing buddies and the game will keep track of all matches and allow you to compare and finally end debates over who is the best player. One of the nice little additions I noticed was the ability for each user to have their own button config(we all have that friend who likes switching the buttons around).

Definitely one of the best additions this year in my book.
Ehem..

The online beta was supposedly made for guys in the UK only. I see some people from other areas playing it online and probably thats the reason why its lagging for them. There's a reason why PESFan said only UK residents should be getting the online beta...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Dude, i have been playing PES/WE for that long too, since WE3, so what? The LOD on the ps2 was ages better than the current one...and i think u just didnt get me...
With the current LOD settings(since PES2009) all the players have basically the same body/Kit style on the wide camera, its that awful.. im not talking about stats or any of this, purely about how it looks(to me that matters a lot, since it takes away the feeling ure really controling the real player)

Ps: Just take a close look at this Europa League video, check out minute 1:36s and ull see what im on about, notice how Perrotta(#20) will change his body magicanly once he walks away from the camera...its disgracefull, all the players recive the same body type.

Fully agree there. I still remember playing pro evo on the playstation 1.
That game was amazing when it comes to recognisable players. For example Patrick Kluivert, you could see he was taller then other players. Besides that he could be recognised just by his haircut...and there werent too many different haircuts in that game. Davids, Zidane, Bergkamp..you could see them and know them in an instant.
Besides that this game had the best heading animations EVER.
The game went downhill when it went to the ps2, picked up again when pes3 was released and then got f@#E#@ed up again when it went next gen.

Now konami focuses on game cards, graphics, a championship license and.....tricks. Something i always hated about fifa. I really could do without those tricks. Played games on the demo with liverpool, and i have seen Kuyt do things that normally would have him end up with a broken leg.

Why konami, why why why did you not focus on the animations instead.

ISS: PE on PS1 is still me and my brothers fave for multiplayer :)
The animations are preferable to those in PES2010 and the 'keepers and pace are better.
In fact it is simply better.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Does anyone know if balloons are in the final build?

Lol, it's Liverpool is licensed team so I guess not.Only if they weren't....

p.s. In the S'land-LFC game when the ball hit the baloon Pepe Reina actually decided to follow the baloon, not the ball

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Me too. I actually use the Fifa default buttons.  :SHHH:

As for the old PES/ISS. Cannot forget Carlos Valderrama and that hair-cut from ISS 64. Stuff of legend.

I still play my we6FE wendetta

That game and patch was phenomenal. Also the WE with the Istanbul patch was a different class.
