I don't know why only this 4 teams are there,moreover RangersFC exist both upper and dower list.
It's doubled,and I think their careless miss,other team must be there instead of RangersFC.

Probably then the 17 clubs we will have licensed for release time then the other 4 later through DLC. Can't wait for this game. I'm still playing BAL on WE2009 and still enjoying it. I'm sure BAL on 2010 will even be times better and cannot wait tbh!

I cant bloody wait anymore. The 28th is too damn far. I'm going to see if I can rattle a few cages concerning the release date. But I'm sure it has alot to do with the national distributor here in SA, namely Ster Kinekor. I also suspect it could be Konami pulling strings so that the release is not worldwide to not cause the strain on the servers as FIFA apparently had. PES IMO can forget about about release day figures like that.

LOL. You know what mate, I did originally write 'excellent' players, but then changed it to 'decent'. You both deserve the 'excellent' tag, especially bearing in mind the huge adjusting required with this new PES. I could see you both playing it a little like previous PES games at times. Being a die-hard PES fan from day 1, I totally accept the adjusting period required. I really enjoyed watching you both playing in that match to the point where I watched it twice, and will watch it again mate.
The first goal was awesome though, very clever. You both have excellent footballing brains. If you can PM me your user tags for either the PS3 or Xbox 360, I would love to play you online, as you play with the same mentality as myself.

LOL @ decent - Marko is one of the finest players in the country and was the PES6 Euro finals runner up :p
Anyway...in top class games there is a lot of metagame going on, trying to out think each other. Just to say this was only like our 2nd or 3rd game aswell, so we were both still adjusting to the different changes in movement. As for playing it safe, Marko's game is based on pure possession, and I've played Marko enough times to know that giving the ball to him = 10 mins of game time without seeing it again

Is the early release confirmed? Sites still say the 23rd. If it comes out on the 16th it is the same day as Uncharted 2's release.
Also some of the turfs lok really nice tbh. Seem more varied that the 'other' game.

I bought a DVD form The Hut and had no problems.
It says on their site usually despatched within 28 days which had me worried, but it came within a week.

Forget about it. Sites who say anything else than 22 or 23 october are doing tricks to receive more buyers.
Konami has clearly stated that the game will release on 23 october in the UK and 22 october in the rest of Europe.

Tbh videos look stunning visually and commentary is also very good, but most goals are due to the usual side back not marking the man and moving out of space or the usual deflection that goes right into the feet of the opposing forward. Easy to exploit that. I hoped they had fixed those issues.

No need to reply in the usual offensive ways, check out the last videos and check out how the side back move.

graphics looked amazing, to me they look way better then fifa
goal celebrations are the best I have ever seen in a football game
stadiums look incredible
now on to the gameplay.. it just seems people are scoring the same old goals all the time.... the passing angles have not changed since WE8, one touches seem to easy to complete, the ball never bounces, if they went to manual or at least semi passing, game would be evolution..

just thinking aswell after watching the vid of real v's mancs was when rooney scored he blasted the ball in from 7 yards out where as normally you would side foot the ball with the in-step
like fifa uses the 'finesse shot', pro should incorporate something similar just to give it that added realism

I think the side-foot was possible in that situation, since I've been side-footing goals in the PES demo for fun when one-on-ones with the keeper. Maybe he blasted the ball in just for insurance. :p But it is do-able, the sidefoot in that situation. It depends on what combination of buttons you are using.
I usually hold RT and press shoot, and fill the power meter up, then double tap RB, I'm not sure what it does exactly but the finishes are pleasant to watch, scored a decent goal with Anelka with that combination. He was one-on-one with the keeper and did a chip/lofted shot. Similar to the goal he scored against Villa.

no offense but instead of constantly berating the guy, why not disprove charlievolano's comments? What's the point of game criticism being met by personal attacks? Personally the players could look more 'alive' when anticipating passes etc ; they all seem to have the hunching animation when awaiting a pass, they should put some more animations and player styles to keep it looking and feeling fresh and alive ... i think they've been like that since 08.
I also tend to agree with your insights, the game plays too angular. However the video does very look good but there's a lot of improvements still needed in PES. Overall problem for me is Konami taking foward steps in certain issue while going backwards in others. I think this is the basis why a lot of people (including myself) have a love/hate relation to PES/Konami

Point being he has no arguments. If u watch the last vids it is clear all the goals are due to the usual poor side back positioning. And don't let me started on those scripted deflections.
They went the cheap way as usual in terms of gameplay.

It's on Regular, you can tell by the fact none of the crosses or shots are closed down quickly enough. You wouldn't have the same time and space on the higher difficulties.
I agree with charlie, most of the goals on the CL video are due to poor positioning, but this is only occuring because it's on a low difficulty setting. Can't say it's been that easy to exploit that area of the pitch on Top Player or Super Star difficulty.

A finesse shot is a childish cheat Dan. IMO. 9 times out of 10 the ball goes in. Predictable rubbish.
You can side foot the ball in manually if you choose by doing exactly what Zakov says. As you build the power bar for your shot you hold R2. The player re-adjusts his body and replaces power with accuracy. It is still by no means a certain goal. It's all stat dependent.
The guys who come on here and constantly slate this and that should get the WE demo, play on Top Player or Superstar,( like MJ quite rightly suggests,) and then try and tell us the AI is fucked up or easily exploited.

Agreed. PES is very close to near perfection in it's own right. The last vids I saw are looking very impressive. Graphics are finally looking georgeous on mid to far cams. Pitches look fantastic! sound is better, goal celebrations, shooting and response times look wonderful.
The only negatives I see is what you pointed out along with GK's deflecting stupid balls in front of them. Ball physics look great, but still need some more bouncing and unpredictability with more randomness to it. I want to see more balls go astray. I want the ball to have it's own unpredictability to it in regards to movement in open spaces.
Also, and this is just me being picky, but I wish they included different corner kick and crossing animations. I want to see players taking corners with different styles such as Beckams etc..
All in all, I am very excited and can't wait to get my hands on the final copy. Multiplayer will be out of this world with this game.
