Now, the pace there looks alot better than the other vids a few pages back. Much more composed.

IMO Fifa has a much more realistic pace(It's slower, movement looks better, prolly depends on the difficulty as I just play between Pro and World Class), more akin to real football than what I've seen of PES2010. It depends on what video I have seen. The latest one looks alot better as I said.

Assisted settings I would not know. Assisted is just for novices who enjoy immediately gratifying play. Only played manual and slow mode in FIFA 10. The ping-pong remark seems a bit ironic as PES, judging from the last iterations(08, 09), would have struck me as more ping-pong like.

Also as someone ppl think criticism indicates fanboyism(played PES up to PES6), this year might be like 08 for me. That year I bought both series'. But thought both were poor so played no footie game that year. In 09 I tolerated FIFA but felt the SP(vs the CPU) was repetitive/tedious. This year I await PES's release with hope as FIFA10 more than likely won't hold my attention. I'll simply play whichever is more enjoyable or do what I did in 08.

I see they haven't got rid of that horrid adjusting animation before shooting. It does spoil the game incredibly.

The latter i presume. Away back to the safety of the FIFA forum and tell everybody the usual suspects have started a war because off your post :COAT:

There is a video of the review code right in front of you so check the zanetti goal (5.35) and you will notice it. It goes without saying that the demo has the same issue everytime you shoot, there is a glitchy animation that adjust players position.

Well I have so let me enlighten you, absolutely shite, the way it has always been. So if your looking for a perfect game of footy, I'am afraid your not going to find it. At least, not until I design one.

Funny, i seem to be ok with headers and im on manual. Maybe thats the beauty of the game itself, not everyone can do the things that everyone else can and vice versa. No two goals i can safely say have ever been the same playing fifa.

On the header issue ive so far scored a diving header with Torres, a nod down header from a corner from Riera (far post), another glancing nod down with Torres (near post, last night in fact) and had two looping headers come off the woodwork both from Kuyt, and thats in the last week.

I think its incredible some of the rubbish people spurt out on here at times, it kinda smacks of 'i cant do it in 5 minutes, so i hate it'. I know that Pes is easy accessible and lets you do these things. After five minutes on the pes demo i had scored a 35 yarder (straight through the keepers hands mind) a header from a corner and a header from a cross.

Playing fifa fully manual takes a good few weeks to get used to. Youll be screwing shots wide and blazing shots over and fluffing headers all day until it clicks. I wouldnt bother on any other controls other than manual.

the only way Pes makes the game difficult is because your players have the turning circle and speed of an ocean liner. Torres cant run in the pes demo its like hes stuck in glue.

And dont dish out the old fanboy lines, i was saying the same about fifa several years ago.

Yes I do find that kind of funny, because if my striker actually attempts to jump for the ball in the first place, and not chest a head height ball, the header will either be a loopy effort or a knock down header, both with laughable power. Since release I can only recall scoring about 5 realistic headers with power.

Let me get this straight are you saying you are happy with the headers in Fifa and you feel they are realistic, because if so, you and I watch and play football on another planet!

By the way don't you think it's a bit pointless hanging around in a thread for a game you have no intention of buying. Bit like me jumping on someones comment in a modern warfare 2 thread, saying 'yeah but killzone is better cos. . .'

Since I have no intention of buying that game, it would be a little bit silly to spend some time in there wouldn't it.

I can predict what will follow next.

I disagree, find headers extremly realistic this year, they take alot of stuff such as jump timing, position and cross angle into account, imo they are perfect.
Btw, i score frenquently headers such as this one in the video...thats my specialty playing with Everton(Cahill, Fallaini, Jo, Saha all good headers)

The Zanetti goal was made in South America. From the cheeky Brazilian lobbed through pass to Zanetti's strength to create the shot.

The counter attack, that leads to another perfectly weighted through ball or manual pass from Milito on 6.38 mins to Eto is very Manchester Utd-esque. Very quick and devastatingly effective. Shame Eto's lob didnt finish the move but I dont see Eto as having the greatest of technique for pulling that shot off anyway. Needed more power for him to put that away, but the ball was close to his body, and straight on, technically meaning he could have used more power and the shot would have chipped as opposed to have clipped, which is the alternative option if the ball is out of your feet or your addressing that chip/clip from the side stance.

The urgency of Karagounis and his tackle, or flattening of Milito :LOL: at the end of the first half, 7.03 mins is very realistic. He looks to move the ball on quickly as if time is running out. I like that.

Great video that. Nice CPU AI, tight, patient, authentic, realistic. The CPU's holding of the defensive line and tracking of the runners is for the most part, very good indeed.

Totally agree jimmy, it looks fantastic and certainly less "clunky" than the demo..............can't wait to patch this on PC:BOP:
