Are you serious? Surely they wouldn't purposefully upload an older demo for Europe and a newer demo for Japan, that makes no sense whatsoever.

Even for Konami. And that's saying something.

Still I'll give it a go...

yeah i know..konami should release the pes 2010 demo this week with much newer code like we 2010 demo..

I’ll just make this quick as to not push DD’s new column down too much. I’ve been monitoring the furore surrounding the demo and I’d just like to quickly say that as I’ve been lucky enough to have tested the final game for a couple of days at work, that the demo certainly isn’t representative of the final version and you’ll all be hearing my views in my column on Saturday. I don’t understand why Konami have put out such a sub-par demo out; it’s older than the code Dougie and I tested two months ago so I can’t help but wonder why it’s been released as it’s certainly not representative of final gameplay.

Then you certainly dont notice the Japanese MO - they are notorious for this type of thing - eg. games and cars.

Havent tried the WE demo but all who have tested the review code have said its better so not worried in the least.

The PC Demo plays better than the X360 (and my laptop aint special)- not sure yet if I'll get it for 360 or PS3.

Now what I really cant understand is TGS is going down right now and EA are claiming FIFA10 is the best football game ever and where oh where is Konami........:FAIL: go figure - Kojima never goes out like this.

Just played the WE demo, in my opinion much better, pace is slower, ball speed slower, jerky animations improved, celebrations and replays better, pretty much what I had hoped for.

Not sure about response times being improved, maybe slightly, but I am used to this now, and accept this is how they want it to feel, and to me its going in the right direction and is miles better than last years arcade joke.

Oh and it seems harder, took a few games before I scored, and even then the score was 1-1.

So for me knowing that this version is a lot better, but will still be improved on before release, PES is definitely back!

One thing I definitely noticed is the shit music on WE 2010. I think PES has better ones.

WE2010 demo is deffo better then PES2010 demo,
the passing feels much better to me, and it plays more...i dunno free.
Its a Joy to play with Brasil top players(specialy Kaka he is very noticable with he's body langues:) )
And Brasil player faces are stunning
btw the demo has 3 stadiums, it got Saitama stadium wich looks great.

In other news, I've just played the WE 2010 demo and I've noticed no difference whatsoever between it and the PES 2010 demo (and I've played it often enough to notice), but there you go. Some will disagree I'm sure (well they have already). No difference as far as I'm concerned - ran the ball out of play when pressing backwards for literally 1.5 seconds or so, players just won't respond quickly enough and I can't dribble at all without walking into someone because of it. :(

BUT, something that may interest the hardcore players is that there is one difference I noticed; there's a "Super Star" difficulty level. That isn't in the PES 2010 demo is it?

It's amazing the difference in views you get, I think most will say it has a slower pace than PES, but then some are sayings it's quicker? I wonder if the type of tv is the reason behind it. Maybe it would be an idea to mention the type of tv and what resolution you are using. In my opinion it's slower (for the better) and I'm playing on a plasma @ 720p

Don't think its slower or faster. Also you're watching this recorded. Obviously not the same speed when watching it on your tv.

Hmm gameplay definetly looks better, animations improved, can't say about the pace, the guy playing seems to be making passes pretty quickly and whatnot.
