Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I gotta say the 360 version looks better than the PS3, which has worst antialiasing (if any, at all) and is generally darker

I don't know mate, they both look the same to me. 360 might have a more vibrant color palette, but hardly any difference.

By the way, does anyone know a very reliable online shop besides shopto.com where I can purchase pes? I live in USA.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Seriously, stop posting things I can agree with. You are fucking with my mind here.

 Has somebody hacked charlies account.Seriously though its good to see since things have got a little more positive round here.:)) Btw F*cking loving the demo.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Naah Lami if it means less money for them, they wont do it.

Not necessarily.

I'm with Lami. I think a new game every two years would be better from now on. The cost of developing a game every two years rather than yearly could work out to be cheaper, plus they can really concentrate on developing a better quality product. And if Konami/EA continually release DLC in the meantime I think they could make just as much money. They could charge for transfer updates, stadium packs, boot packs, new balls, new kits, new pitch textures, extra teams - there is so much scope to make money from DLC.

I agree. Think they can even make more money that way

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Hmmm so save money developing minor updates, production, despatch, packaging etc. I don't know but that could make business sense. What about the consumers who don't have their consoles online?

Update discs would defeat the object but downloadable content would make financial sense. Most people have their consoles online now and those that don't would miss out unfortunately. DLC and on demand game downloads are going to be the future like it or not.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Given the limited time they had with fan's suggestions this year, I think PES2010 is shaping into an amazing product. But with an entire year of feedback, PES2011 will be nirvana.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Let's look at it this way, the graphics are sorted and even if PES2011 had the very same visuals, people would be more than happy.

So they will have ample time to release something so deep and intuitive gameplay wise, as to recapture the magic that had us ordering WE games from Japan for the sheer football heaven of them.

Hmmm....I admire your optimism.

But PES2010 had a longer than usual development time, and apart from the graphics the game hasn't moved on that far from PES2009.

I beg to differ, this is far removed from PES2009. Completely different IMO, and a HUGE step in the right direction.

Why have we heard Nothing from Konami?

Why have we heard nothing since the demo release?

The demo feels a bit slow to me at times and almost incomplete. Well I know it is incomplete but what Im trying to say is can they fix all what needs to be fixed in such a short space of time before release?

This is what this game needs to make it fantastic

1. Better Keepers
2. Overall pace just a tad quicker
3. Animations a bit more free (feels sticky and clunky at times)
4. Better AI in sense of attacking. I think in Top Player in the demo the defending is pretty good coz I can hardly score! lol

What worries me the most is the severe lack of communication from Konami since the demo has been released. Are they not going to acknowledge the concerns from the people who keep them alive (the fans)?

Are they not going to comment that its only a demo and all these little problems have been ironed out and wont be in the full release?

You see this is what worries me. They can and do be lazy and if they release the game the way the demo is Im afraid they will lose even more of their fans forever.

Konami! Seabass! Anyone! Can you hear us!? Can you reassure us and put our minds at ease?

I agree, its a completely different game. And as much fun and enjoyment I got from PES 2009. I really can see PES 2010 being a far deeper, more technical affair. I'm loving the demo. I'm loving learning every player's strengths and weaknesses. I played against Spain last night, as I usually play with them.

Jeez, they were unbeleievable. They must have broke me down and scored after at least 20 passes. Superb interlinking, brilliant movement, and crisp passing. The individuality factor has never been this apparent in any PES game in my opinion. I caught a volley first time last night as well, not done that previously, and it was definately all down to perfect timing.

I'm not having any real problems with response issues now ?? I guess its just learning to play the game differently.

They need to address the collision detections though, when you pull off a skill move, and zoom in to see your leg going straight through your opponents leg is very off putting.

i feel this game is a template, although after three years on new hardware surely that is beyond a farce? they have got the graphics, they really need the animations and flow feel otherwise all the visual improvements mean nothing.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

When we getting impressions then? Don't be shy and bash it a little because we all know the rabid fanboy you are.:RSCARF:

:SMUG: Hahaha zee you know me well.right then.....

After waiting nearly six hours to get a decent download of the demo on release day (Thanks placebo) i started to play....

After the first couple of matches i was like  What have they done! jerky framerates/screentears Ect. FFS 2009 looked better on high settings :CONFUSE: the only positive thing i could find were the sliders and How much better the AI was.

Anyway i persevered with it and i must say apart from the glitches i found the old feeling coming back where i was saying to myself at the end of the match "right that was fun lets go again" This i think was me becoming comfartable with the pace of the ball again and using the time i had to plan my actions better.Btw i hope you guys havent had all the problems i have had on your consoles.

The next day things were still a bit unsure in my mind ie- Why does it still look worse graphically than 2009?(btw when i say worse i mean "quality" and not the rendering which is awesome)
Anyway the demo time fix mod was released and wow did i get a suprise you could change the resolution! no wonder my demo looked so jaded. I mean i ask yer What is the point of konami releasing a demo with locked dumbed down resolution:RANT:

But OMG :WORSHIP: What a difference this as made being able to play 10mins games and with a bit of jiggery pokery i have it running reasonably good. I havent managed to score any long range goals at the mo but the gameplay with the sliders is imersive and deep,I could go on yada yada yada....But my message to you guys is if you havent been able to extend your game time then fear not when it gets released you will love it more than maybe you do now. When i get a few more goals scored i will post them in here. Keep the faith lad's :BOP:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

great vid acey

The animations are so ugly and clumsy though - however in stills the graphics are at times jawdropping

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

I've played about 5-10 matches every day on the demo since Thursday. Say around 40 matches in total, roughly.

I haven't experienced any response issues since Sunday night. I remember that session well because I'd just come from reading here and elsewhere about how wickedly, wickedly awful and amateurish Konami were for crippling PES so much in 2010.

I played one match and saw no response lag. Then another. And another. After a while it hit me---I'd adapted to this new style of PES. And it is a new style.

I'm not any kind of PES ninja---far from it. I play a pretty basic style that relies almost entirely on pass and move. Perhaps this explains it.

I haven't seen a PES game this deep since, yes, PES5. [---Insert standard claim to have been playing ISS/PES since the advent of the steam engine here---]

I am still seeing one or two instances per session of delayed shooting, but I remember that being always a problem in PES at times.

My pes 2010 video guys, goals, tricks, best moments etc, :)

YouTube - Pes 2010 Best Moments,Goals,Tricks *HD*

I like the tricks acey but there's soo many clipping and skating issues and the ball even went half way into Messi's leg in the end there...

BTW is it possible to send those waterbottles spraying into the air?

@ Keith Houchen I said it once and I'll say it again without having played the demo yet. This game is going to grow on people like a bad rash if they'll allow it.

Ahh, the posted video, 0:07 secs, Ibrahimovic's trick looks too awkward.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

That's a good point actually. Konami have a game that looks out of this world amazing just in the bog-standard replay mode, yet the trailers they insist on putting out couldn't do a worse job of selling the game.

The only issue for me from this and similar videos is that there seems to be a sweet spot for long shots. Part of the joy of long shots was that they were so rare to come by that, on more than one occasion, what I believed to have gone out for a goal kick was actually being celebrated by my players.

Regarding the demo growing over time; I've long since believed that each new PES has an adjustment period where you get used to what has changed, after which it will just click into place and all of a sudden you'll be playing some hot shit football.

What I adored from PES was that it rewarded you for thinking with a footballing brain, 2010 has completely buggered that up simply because of the response issues. Before my thought process would have been along the lines of; CMF has the ball, pass it to AMF and look to play in the right winger with a through ball before a double-tap cross sets up the striker (Bear in mind that I'm thinking this through all before the first pass has been played).

Now all that I'm thinking about is pass to the player closest to the ball, hope he controls it in a direction away from opposition players, pass to unmarked teammate, wait for pass. I'm not miffed about the game forcing me to change my style of play, it's more a case of it's forcing me to play a certain type of way that just doesn't feel right.
