So i came back to the demo afer not liking it initially. For me the things which i dislike are:

when two or more players clash/come together, the awful clunkyness that ensues.

Response time could me improved imo. Yes you would get used to it over time, but i think a tweak would be for the best, personally.

Game speed could be slower imo too.

Otherwise, i just had a great game with Spain vs Germany. I came back from 1-0 down to win 2-1. First David Villa equalised and then Iniesta grabbed the winner across the keeper off the post, after being put through. Both goals looked great. Iniesta's was the pick though.

The more I hammer this baby the more I come to realise that PES is back, tight defences, clever runs, geometry and angles, space and timing combined with some nifty tricks and animations.

Crosses are thus far way too easy though, anyone scoring off most of their well times crosses?

I think they need to make the defenses better so that it's harder to get into position for a good cross.

I guess we can agree PES2010 is a giant step in the right direction, but in PES2011 I expect life like animations with no stuttering, skipping or sliding... As well as clever goalkeepers, better ball physics and handling, and crowds that aren't emotionless penguins...

But yeah PES is back...

I half expect Konami to screw up PES2011 because of their patchy track record, but here's hoping they've re-discovered the magic formula and will build upon it.

I'm sure that if PES2010 hadn't such stunning graphics (even if I can't notice untucked shirt from normal camera yet, but only form replays) few people would stay here trying to save this gameplay, because it actually is SO HEAVY, WHIPPING and FULL OF BUGS...c'mon let's say the truth...be honest

I agree with Fitello, there are too many bugs lying on top of what essencially is still the same ol'engine just tweaked and slowed down.. It does look prettier, but its mainly lighting effects (although overdone)

Hopefully the bugs will be gone come release day and there will be enough other features ie.. BAL, lagless online, great edit mode. To cover up the aging game.

I think a lot of us are trying to like it too much, it is definately a game that you appreciate once you get the feel of it, but it's not like PES3 when you new it was special straight away. And for me if they released it as the demo version it wouldn't be good enough, but thankfully the latest vid showing the later version looks a lot better, so I can't wait for a review to confirm this.

Does anyone know who has the exclusive on it?

The game is not out yet for christ sake. this is only the demo and i am sure by the time of release a lot of the bugs will be ironed out.. give the game a chance before you give up on it.

People are being honest in there assessment. Just because there opinion is not the same as yours doesn't equate to them lying.

Getting a lot of stories in various forums of people beginning to take to the game after the initial jarring experience.

Personally, I think most the component parts that make a great football game are present. the animation clearly isn't on FIFA10's level, but I find the game thoroughly enjoyable considering it is only a demo with some bugs. If the bugs and response times are sorted(most of which I hear are) the final game should prove at the very least to be a title that is a worthy alternative to FIFA10.

Loving the way you can play cute, short lofted passes in midfield for a change, and the AI on top player(which is supposedly harder in most recent builds) plays a very realistic game. In a game I played against France last night, The Ai was actually teasing me and playing kep ball with aplomb.

Do you really believe Konami would FIX all those bugs (ridicolous response time, collisions, idiot goalkeepers etc...) in a week (I remind you the game must be gold within few days)?
I love new light effects( try to play the same match in daylight in the same stadium VILLE MARIE at PES2009 and you will notice the huge step forward); I'd love a good game with such graphics but I CANNOT accept that in front of the goal my player stops the ball when I pushed shoot button 3 SECONDS BEFORE to make him shoot directly...I agree with slow gameplay, but this example is WHIPPING...then I don't want to talk about penalties...:MAD:

I just noticed something strange while playing this DEMO. Maybe it's just me, but the response time seems much tighter and responsive on "Normal" not "Professional" or "Top Player". Try it. I actually am enjoying the demo much more now and am considering pre-ordering it. It has a lot of potential and still fun. Scripted, but fun.

use rb or slow dribble with the stick and this game is sick, we can have some good games

No I don't, but lucky for us, there not a weeks difference between the demo, and the retail version that some have now, I can see it has improved in the new vid, WENB have also said the demo version is no were near as good as the latest build, so I am hopefull.

They also said PES2010 would be the 'revolution'.

I'm sure the final version will be tweaked and less buggy, but don't place too much faith in what WENB say.

I think you can trust them with saying it is better than the demo, but I wouldn't base me buying it on their review.

I will get that info from a variety of mags and gamer sites, and I am sure there will be loads of new vids as well.

Seems like Konami spent a fair amount of time on them and no ones really spoken yet.

Absolutaley! We're gonna have some nice online games this year giving that online will be sorted out.

Also, do you happend to know another online games shop where I can pre-order this game that doesn't require me to register with paypal? I just want to a site where I go in, enter my card details and it will take it.

Seeing as the match in the demo is so short I guess many people can't be bothered playing around with the sliders.

I've spent some time experimenting with the sliders and ability cards and I like what I see so far.

I am enjoying the demo lots more. Played Intrepid last night and scored a absolute rasper with Gomez into the near post high and hard. In PES2009 that would be a throw in. Nice to see the shooting has been fixed.

but i am not getting into the wish it was exactly like WE7I/PES5 because if you went back and played them IMO you would see they are best left in the memory.

Reasons being people were able to patch them fully and customize them to your own needs so you felt like it was your child. You saw your hard work through kit patching/Ball/Stadium all in the game and that added to the experience of playing.

i don't know, maybe i've grown older and think differently to it. I still love PES though:COOL:

I scored a couple of cracking goals today that reminded me why I still play PES.

One was a Sergio Ramos chest down and curling half volley into the top corner, after arriving at the edge of the area to pick up a loose clearance. The great thing about it is that Sergio Ramos makes these raiding forward runs in real life so it was nice to see this being represented in PES.

"The thing is.. Now it depends on how much you hold directional and shooting button. the longer you press is how much u increase angle.
If u try the old way, holding direction till the ball is shot u put it about 6-7 metres from the goal"

So, it's basically the Fifa system now?

I've not had a penalty yet in the demo. The Fifa system is great whereas penalties in PES were always a CPU decided lottery.
