PES2010 discussion thread

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Has this thread turned into the editing forum???

What's happened to PES 2010 news thread I used to visit??

:OT:

I'm not  , just wondered why everyone is posting this stuff in here?

It's an extremely dry spell these days..... (sigh). Can't wait for a 90% build video leak....

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

There isn't much news and trashing the FIFA demo gets a bit lamo (kidding) so why not go into the editing bit?

BTW I'm still going to get FIFA10 and give the full game a good bash till PES2010s release. If in that time I feel the urge to go back to PES 2009 I will sell it.

If however I am impressed, you lot will not be seeing me around here except to piss on all the news of your inferior game of preference "huuuurrrrrr"

Good lord, forgot how appalling the PES4 cover was. Did someone knock that up in their lunch break or something? PES3 cover is awesome. Evokes so much nostalgia from bunking final year lectures etc :D

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

As much as I enjoy the news and reveiws. I grimmace at the thought of the immense bash fest that ensues.

I was happy with the code at 70/80% so I know it's good enough for me, but there may well be an influx of peeps throwing shit around the thread but I am sure Tom will apply a sensible approach and remove the flamers.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Just dont mention Fifa Jonny, and you will be alright.

How you dare mention the unmentionable word!!

The 'other game' train has already started and neither you nor any moderator is going to stop it!

PD: im so bored...

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

It's the claims of slower, more tactical gameplay with less time on the ball that has got me interested and hopeful that we will see a return to form this year. As long as I can't take on the whole team with one man and instead have to work for openings then I'm sold.

The graphics look stunning even though the animations are not to the level I would like. Hopefully they have been improved further but I'm not expecting drastic changes.

I'm exactly the same J. The graphics are just fantastic so no worries there.

like you say, if the play is controlled, measured and skillful rather than a sprint fest then its a winner.

Lots of talk about animations for such a long time now, but what I have seen of it has got me excited. it certainly is much better in the turning and is much smoother overall.

I suspect the final code will see a slight adjustment in running and more animations in respect of tackling shooting, disputes etc.

Can't wait:APPLAUD:

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

Pro Evolution's animations have always been subtle, but most importantly, instinctive and completely relevant to the situation. As long as the theory behind the physics animations rings true, then I'm more than happy. I would say 98% of the time, they are exactly how I perceive the reaction animation to be in real life.

They are not super-duper fluid, but they serve an ends to a means. They keep the game flowing, and they serve their intended purpose; To accurately depict any given scenario. I have never had a problem with animations or how Konami implement them. Its other silly issues that have annoyed me in the past.

I really couldnt give a flying fuck to be honest Zee. If I like the like game, and appreciate the concept as far as I'm concerned, I dont value the opinion of anyone else, it means jack shit to me. Same goes for these so called reviewers. Most of these geeks have probably never kicked a ball in their life.

Agreed 100% Animations are eye candy and must not hamper the flow of the game as WAS the case of FIFA 09. I want that responsiveness and indivudualism that PES offers. It irritates me when I look at the FIFA 10 videos, they look so stunning but seeing Messi running with the ball on his right just does my head in. Then in a PES video he passes a ball with the outside of his left boot and the whole Fifa fan bus pulls up to raise their disgust.

Re: PES2010 News & Rumours thread

hi guys, it has been a while, i stayed in touch with the pes 2010 videos (it looks good but not that much of difference)

my question: Is there any news on the online part of the game??

(also i checked out the fifa demo hoping it would impress me but it didn't, its not a bad game (slightly better responsive than the last version, but if im going to the other side after 10+ years i must be convinced by me (after playing it) to do it...)
